  • iPhone - Switch Tab from UIWebView

    I have a webview and I want to manually switch to another tab during a specific event. The event is arbitray, but I can't figure out hwo to switch teh tab. On my other views, I have the following code: self.tabBarController.selectedViewController = [self.tabBarController.viewControllers objectAtIndex:2]; However, this does not work in my custom UIWebView class. Is there a simple solution to this? Thanks

  • Can I use a cheap inverter for my laptop?

    I'm going to travel in a car this summer. It would be very nice if I could charge my laptop using the cigarette lighter. Because my computer is from Apple, there's no way to directly connect the two, therefore I need an inverter that provides 120V alternating current. There are many different models, ranging from very cheap to really expensive. The wave forms are: (from most expensive to cheapest) sine modified sine trapezoid square Can I use just any inverter or does it have to be a sine inverter? If so, what happens to my computer in case I use the wrong one. The laptop is a MacBook witch needs 60W.

    Since the old days ISA and now TMG have had several great features that I often want to deploy to my customers because of the enhanced functionality and security, but often the cost of an additinal server HW, Windows Server, and TMG license is too much to justify when compaired to a $300-500 appliance. Are there other gateway firewalls that can perform one or more of these application layer features: pre-auth incoming http traffic against AD/LDAP before sending packets to internal server (forms auth or basic creds popup)? read host headers of incoming http traffic (even on https) to a single public IP and route packets to different internal servers based on that host header?

The fiscal year of my company starts on 1 September and ends on 31 August.   • Java: Is there a way to obtain the bytecode for a class at runtime?

    In Java, is there a way (at runtime) to obtain the bytecode which defined a particular class? Put another way, is there a way to obtain the byte[] array passed to ClassLoader.defineClass(String name, byte[] b, int off, int len) when a particular class was loaded? I see that this method is declared final, so creating a custom ClassLoader to intercept class definitions seems out of the question. In the past, I have used the class's ClassLoader to obtain the bytecode via the getResourceAsStream(String) method, but I would prefer a more canonical solution.

  • Problem with UITabBar + NavController in secondView viewDidLoad isn't called

    My Application is a Tabbar with a navController in each of it's tabs. Now, the problem is to add a custom info button to the navController in the SecondView. I've created the App in InterfaceBuilder and entered the name of the nib to Load there. I need a uint8, uint16, uint32, and uint64, and I need them defined in types.h, in a way that they will always be defined correctly regardless of platform.     I want to make 10 asynchronous http requests at once and only process the results when all have completed and in a single callback function. I also do not want to block any threads using WaitAll (it is my understanding that WaitAll blocks until all are complete). By looking at the source code for UICatalog, it seems to create these buttons you need to create a custom bitmap. Is this true? If so, is there a "standard" bitmap that can be used, to ensure consistent user experience?
