  • Google Drive Update keeps throwing an error when I try to save a thumbnail

    The Base64 string checks out fine. I was able to export it to another website and download it again as my image. When I try to do an update using the Drive Javascript api, it just keeps returning this error: Invalidvaluefor:Notavalidbase64bytestring I also true making the string URL safe. Per this page https://google-api-client-libraries.appspot.com/documentation/drive/v2/python/latest/drive_v2.files.html Am I doing something wrong here, the documentation says send Base64, the string is valid and, the string is intact throughout the process, but Google will not accept it? I am using the javascript api, I think there is maybe a bug sending the thumbnail using the javascript api.   • Providing a public Web-Hosting service on MS Windows - advice and resources

    Are there any resources offering advice on how to setup a microsoft based web-hosting service? I currently offer LAMP hosting with cPanel, but there is some demand for IIS & SQL Server. As far as I can tell MS Windows Web Server 2008 R2 edition allows unlimited IIS connections. And a per-processor license for MS SQL Server Web Edition 2008 also permits unlimited connections. Where I am falling down is that I can't figure out how to get "unlimited" Active Directory users. I can't use 2008R2 Web Server edition for AD, so I will need the 2008R2 standard edition, I think. Does Microsoft have a provision for using AD in an ISP scenario? I am looking at using the cPanel Enkompas system to manage the Windows software, and Enkompas requires AD for user authentication. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    My application use the SDCard to store data (about 100 Mb of stuff). I would like to delete these file when the application is deleted through the application manager and offer a way to clear the data from there (like the Google Apps does). Any ideas ?

    I have been given access to (parts of) a remote SQL Server 2005 with SQL Server authentication in order to be able to make changes to a database without involving other people who is not working on the project. The database have been created on my local machine. Is there any way to restore the remote database from a backup file on my local computer? I do not currently have access to the filesystem on the remote server. EDIT: To clarify, the access I have is that i can log in to the server via the SQL Server Management Studio. I have one connection to my local database server and one connection to the remote server. What I basically want to do is copy the database from one connection to the other.

  • chunked response in nginx not working

    I ran into this post which shows my problem EXACTLY http://nginx.org/en/docs/faq/chunked_encoding_from_backend.html BUT browsers are using http 1.1 these days so I really don't understand. Our backend is the playframework and I don't mind fixing it but I don't really understand what is not working ESPECIALLY since firefox, safari, chrome ALL download the response just fine with no problems. ONLY when we stick NGINX in the middle do things break and we end up with extra data in our json responses. Any idea how to fix this? as the doc above just seems wrong since we are now on later versions of http PLUS the browsers seem to work just fine. thanks, Dean

While reading the docs on deploying the app to the app store, I came across some drivel regarding having to go through a 30 - 60 day government vetting process just to ship an app that simply connects to an HTTPS server. My question is, since this is an export requirement, do apps that are only distributed in the US face this same restriction? Thanks

  • Corporate IM with video that actually works, suggestions?

    Hi. Does anyone here have a suggestion for a cross-platform IM solution wich will work with voip/video on both Windows (XP and 7) and Mac OS X from 10.4 and upwards? Right now were in a kind of mixed enviroment, with some Mac users using iChat server since they need video support (conference across several offices over VPN), but it wont't work on windows clients. The rest of us are happily using Openfire+Spark, but there's no VoIP or video avaible from what i've found, unless you want to add in several 3rd party software (like red5 and asterisk). Requirements: As said before; must work on both Windows and Mac Internal server (no Skype etc) File transfer between platforms SSO (Single Sign-On) via Active Directory authentication Some sort of screen sharing would be a plus, like switching over to a screen capture (powerpoint, software training etc) We can afford to buy software if that's needed to get this working without any hiccups across platforms.     I am running alfresco community edition 3.4c on a debian linux. I have problems getting the kerberos authentication in order. The biggest problem is that do not seem to have any sort of user logs. what i am using already: log4j.logger.org.alfresco.web.app.servlet.KerberosAuthenticationFilter=debug log4j.logger.org.alfresco.repo.webdav.auth.KerberosAuthenticationFilter=debug log4j.logger.org.alfresco.smb.protocol=debug log4j.logger.org.alfresco.fileserver=debug I've also checked if the users actually reach the server, and they do, (also on a linux firefox outside of domain, i seem to be able to log in). Can anyone help me get more user logging?

    I recently started a Systems Admin job where teamviewer is used pretty frequently here. Another admin recently left, and the concern is they still have access to all our systems due to how teamviewer works. I want to migrate the entire environment to domain authentication. The documentation shows that setting up windows auth (domain) is easy, but I want to be sure that it is the only way to be authenticated with a teamviewer session here. I cannot yet find anything which explicitly says this. We have licensing for teamviewer 5 and 6, I think. Right now we have 7 in the environment, but I think most are in a trial version, so I am likely to revert to 5 or 6.

    Our WSUS server stopped working until the patch related to .NET 4.0 was installed, at which point clients started downloading and updating again. However, the WSUS mmc console occasionally disconnects when performing various tasks, such as running automatic approval rules; also wsusutil checkhealth creates the following events: 13042: Self-update is not working. 12002: The Reporting Web Service is not working. 12012: The API Remoting Web Service is not working. 12032: The Server Synchronization Web Service is not working. 12022: The Client Web Service is not working. 12042: The SimpleAuth Web Service is not working. 12052: The DSS Authentication Web Service is not working. Apparently there are many possible causes for these events. I'm looking for a way to figure out what is wrong, so that I can fix it.

I created a new app, went to push and now see: ssh: connect to host heroku.com port 22: Connection refused My other previously working Heroku apps no longer work, receiving the same error. Other Heroku commands work (create, info, db:push). I can SSH to other services, so it doesn't look like it's my machine. Any ideas?

    I'm learning Chinese at the moment and I have gotten my hand on a Chinese dictionary definition. Now I would like to make an interface. All I really want the application to do is when I point my mouse pointer over any text on the screen (in any window), it would identify the text I am pointing at and then display a small form over it, which would the chinese transaction. Is that possible to do? Can WinForms apps interact with windows outside of it's own application?
