  I have source of webfiles. I need to make a RPM for it. I have placed my source in SOURCES folder and use following spec file. But it is creating noarch rpm with 2MB size, but my source is greater than 2MB size. Its also did not attach files with this. I think i have a problem in spec file. • svn client timeout on windows 7 64 bit

  I upgraded my PC to Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium - clean install. Since then I've tried to install the following SVN clients: Tortois 1.6.6 64bit and 32bit, Tortois 1.6.5 64bit, SlikSVN, SmartSVN, and a couple others. None of them will connect to ANY remote SVN repository. Note: Everything works correctly when I plug in my old Vista HD with Tortoise 1.6.6 client installed. Therefore, I do not suspect the network per se. I've seen some posts around with people running into similar issues on Windows 7 64bit but I've yet to see an actual answer/solution to the problem.

  Through JavaScript I am appending one query parameter to the page url and I am facing one strange behaiviour. <div> <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2">Click me</a> </div> $(function () { window.location.href = window.location.href + "&q=" + "aa"; }); Now I am appending &q=aa in default3.aspx and in this page the &q=aa is getting added continuously, causing the URL to become: http://localhost:1112/WebSite2/Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa&q=aa One would say just pass it like <a href="Default3.aspx?id=2&q=aa">Click me</a>, but I cant do that. The value of this query parameter is actually the value of an HTML element which is in default3.aspx. I have to add it in runtime. What are the ways to achieve this?

  I'm using SAX and XML reader to read XML weather info from the web and it works fine if the page exists. But if for instance the user inputs an invalid city, zip etc the XML page that gets read from is empty and the app force closes with nullpointerexception. The area that generates the error is here right at open inputstream. • In Maven 2, Is it possible to specify a mirror for everything, but allow for failover to direct repo

  I understand that part of the appeal of setting up a Maven mirror, such as the following: <mirror> <id>nexus</id> <name>Maven Repository</name> <mirrorOf>*</mirrorOf> <url>http://server:8081/nexus/content/groups/public</url> </mirror> ... is that the documentation states, "You can force Maven to use a single repository by having it mirror all repository requests." However, is this also an indication that by having a * mirror set up each workstation [b]must[/b] be forced to go through the mirror? I ask because I would like each workstation to failover and connect directly to whatever public repositories it knows about in the event that Nexus can't resolve a dependency or plugin. (In a perfect world, each developer has the access necessary to add additional proxy repositories as needed. However, sometimes that access isn't available; sometimes the Nexus server goes down; sometimes it suffers a Java heap error.) Is this "mirror but go ahead and connect directly to public repos" failover configuration possible in Maven 2? Will it be in Maven 3?

  I'm trying to make an AJAX GET request, but I simply cannot get it to work. I want to retrieve the HTML source of example.com. I've previously used JQuery to send AJAX requests, but I use JQuery only for its AJAX capabilities so it's a waste to include the 30KB file for one task. • How to check whether a default browser is opened in the operating system (Java)?

  Hi, I am newbie here. During my work, I faced an interesting problem. I need to: check whether a default html browser is opened; check whether the browser is minimized/maximized (simply, a window's state); get an url address typed in the browser. If any of these conditions is not met, I have to open the browser in a maximized view with a desired url address. I primarily wanted to do all this in Java, but it came to my mind that I should employ many techniques/technologies and combine them appropriately to complete the functionality. But, which ones? That's the problem. I just recalled Windows API, but I'm not sure if it is of any help... Some users on another forum suggested that I should consider JNI (no experience at all)... I only know how to open a default browser (e.g. with use of the 'browse(URI uri)' method of the 'java.awt.Desktop' class) - that's too little to be proud of. Please give me some hints, maybe links to reasonable discussions, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions how to approach the problem.

• Simple iOS Get Request Not Pulling in Data

  I have a very simple get request that doesn't return data on my script. The script is fine when viewed in the web browser but the app does not pull in the data. • Modifying html of dom element that was created after page loaded

  I have two separate AJAX calls. One that gets a list of items from a txt file and creates an HTML table out of them and one that talks to a database to find how much each item costs and then lists this in the corresponding table cell for each item (I know this may sound like a strange approach, but it's a good option in our case...). The issue is that the price is not getting written to the table since the table is created (or to be precise, the rows of the table are created) after the page loads.   I'm trying to parse some XML I've gotten from the Google Data Booksearch API and I'm having trouble trying to target a specific element. • jquery $.ajax load in UI dialog() problem

  i have a working bing Image search api with jsonp datatype. It's working with no problems. When i load the image search script in a Jquery UI dialog, it display properly and i'm able to search and see the results in the dialog() box. But if i close the dialog() and open it again, now if i search no results show. Looking at console.log, i do confirm the jason data is recieved, but for some reason it's not appending to the result div, so i see no result on the screen. This onyl happens if i close the dialog and open it again. If i refresh refresh the page and open the dialog again then search results are displayed.   I have an image that is a link. I want to show a different image when the user hovers over the link. Perhaps this is because (as I know) this is invalid HTML: you can't put an <a> around a <div>. However, if I switch to <span> then it seems I get bigger problems, because you can't set a height and width on a span reliably. Help! How can I do this better?

• How can I center a CSS background image as if the image had a different width (without cutting the bgimg off)?

  I'm attempting to add a bookmarklet to my wop website. The issue is that I would like to have the bookmarklet (highlighted in red in the picture below) centered as if it did not have the arrow sticking out the side. If I change the width of the bgimage in the css, to be the same as the below indented box thingies, it centers how I would like it to. But, it cuts off a bit of the arrow. • How do I size a second div to be 100% height underneath a fixed image?

  I'm using semi-transparent PNGs (due to the designer's overlapping of elements) and trying to achieve a layout that represents the design while still working well on the web. Thus I have simple HTML: <div id="right"> <div id="welcome"></div> <div id="welcomeRepeatingBottom"></div> </div> And I'm trying to use CSS as follows: #right { height: 100%; position: absolute; right: 0px; top: 0px; width: 430px; } #welcome { background-image: url("welcome.png"); height: 614px; width: 430px; position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; } #welcomeRepeatingBottom { background: url("welcomeBottom.png") repeat-y; height: 100%; left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 614px; width: 430px; } The problem is...the #welcomeRepeatingBottom div can't overlap the #welcome div because of the transparency. What I really want is the #welcomeRepeatingBottom div to be height: 100% - 614px, but of course you can't do that. Am I missing something here or do I need to manipulate these values with JavaScript/JQuery?

  In this part of the ongoing Wix tutorial series we’ll take a look at how to localize your MSI into different languages. We’re still the mighty SuperForm: Program that takes care of all your label color needs. :) Localizing the MSI With WiX 3.0 localizing an MSI is pretty much a simple and straightforward process. First let look at the WiX project Properties->Build. There you can see "Cultures to build" textbox. Put specific cultures to build into the testbox or leave it empty to build all of them. Cultures have to be in correct culture format like en-US, en-GB or de-DE. Next we have to tell WiX which cultures we actually have in our project. Take a look at the first post in the series about Solution/Project structure and look at the Lang directory in the project structure picture. There we have de-de and en-us subfolders each with its own localized stuff. In the subfolders pay attention to the WXL files Loc_de-de.wxl and Loc_en-us.wxl. Each one has a <String Id="LANG"> under the WixLocalization root node. By including the string with id LANG we tell WiX we want that culture built. For English we have <String Id="LANG">1033</String>, for German <String Id="LANG">1031</String> in Loc_de-de.wxl and for French we’d have to create another file Loc_fr-FR.wxl and put <String Id="LANG">1036</String>. WXL files are localization files. Any string we want to localize we have to put in there. To reference it we use loc keyword like this: !(loc.IdOfTheVariable) => !(loc.MustCloseSuperForm) This is our Loc_en-us.wxl. Built in dialog text localization Under the de-de folder there’s also the WixUI_de-de.wxl file. This files contains German translations of all texts that are in WiX built in dialogs. Localizing the custom EULA license Here it gets ugly. We can override the default EULA license easily by overriding WixUILicenseRtf WiX variable like this: <WixVariable Id="WixUILicenseRtf" Value="License.rtf" /> where License.rtf is the name of your custom EULA license file. The downside of this method is that you can only have one license file which means no localization for it. That’s why we need to make a workaround. License is checked on a dialog name LicenseAgreementDialog. What we have to do is overwrite that dialog and insert the functionality for localization. This is a code for LicenseAgreementDialogOverwritten.wxs, an overwritten LicenseAgreementDialog that supports localization. With little hacking we’ve achieved a fully localizable installer package.   The final step is to insert the extended LicenseAgreementDialogOverwritten license dialog into the installer GUI chain. • the size of apt-get update lists is too big

  I ran a clean install to Ubuntu 12.04 and so far everything has been working well. I especially commend the Ubuntu team for this release. I only noticed that the size of repository update is now about ~13MB. Normally, it is about this size for the first time you run apt-get update after a clean install and then ~ 23kb - 1300kb for subsequent updates. The output from apt-get update is the same I get for previous versions of Ubuntu (its pretty normal). Its a bit too long but look at an example output I got from running apt-get update. • Postgresql fails to start on Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS

  I installed postgresql 9.2 from add-apt-repository ppa:pitti/postgresql using apt-get install postgresql-9.2 At the end of the install and every time I try to launch postgresql by using the following command /etc/init.d/postgresql start or service postgresql start I get this error: Error: could not exec /usr/lib/postgresql/9.2/bin/pg_ctl /usr/lib/postgresql/9.2/bin/pg_ctl start -D /var/lib/postgresql/9.2/main -l /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-9.2-main.log -s -o -c config_file="/etc/postgresql/9.2/main/postgresql.conf" : [fail] invoke-rc.d: initscript postgresql, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing postgresql-9.2 (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: postgresql-9.2 E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) I have tried everything found here: How to thoroughly purge and reinstall postgresql on ubuntu and here: Eliminating non working postgresql installations on ubuntu 10-04 and starting af. I have also done dpkg -P --force-remove-reinstreq postgresql-client-9.2 in my attempt to remove everything postgres related from my server. After removing postgresql I have used dpkg --get-selections | grep postg To be sure there is nothing left and I can do a clean install. I have also made sure that the files and folders mentioned in the error message have the right permissions. The /var/log/postgresql/postgresql-9.2-main.log file is empty. I have tried installing every postgresql version from 8.3 to 9.2 and I get the same error on every time. I once managed to compile postgresql from the source provided on their website but then I encountered weird errors with psycopg2 so I figured I'd install postgresql this way and avoid those errors. Also when I type apt-get install postgresql it by default tries to install the 8.3 version even when I can find the package by typing apt-get install postgresql-9.2.
