  • jQuery datepicker returns "inst is null" error when loaded via AJAX

    - by Robert
    I'm loading content via an AJAX call into a table row added to the DOM on the fly. I'm calling the datepicker functionality in my callback function and the calendar shows fine. However, when I click on the date, I get an error: inst is null. Here's my code: $(document).ready(function() { $(".edit").live("click", function() { //Delete previously loaded edit row $("#tempEditRow").remove(); //Get the record id of the row to be edited var recordID = $(this).parent("td").parent("tr").attr("id"); //Add the new row to the document $(this).parent("td").parent("tr").after("<tr id=\"tempEditRow\"><td id=\"tempEditCell\" colspan=\"100\"></td></tr>") //Get a reference to the new row var container = $("#tempEditCell"); //Populate the container populateContainer("/wpm/includes/ajax_editApplication.cfm?id=" + recordID, container); }); }); function populateContainer(ajaxUrl, container) { //Populate the container $.ajax({ url: ajaxUrl, cache: false, success: function(html){ $(container).html(html); $('.datepicker').datepicker(); } }); } I've tried deleting the hasDatepicker class, deleting any references to the datepicker, etc. but nothing is working. Thanks in advance for helping!

  • How can I use django.core.files.File

    - by Jake
    The docs for django.core.files.File imply I can do this: print File(open(path)).url but the File object has no attribute 'url' However, django.db.models.fields.files.FieldFile extends File and does have all the attributes described in the docs for File, but I can't create one without giving it a model field. All I want it something that does what the docs for django.core.files.File (link above) say it does, take a python file and give it attributes like 'url' and 'path' and 'name', can anyone help? Cheers, Jake

  • How to setup an hibernate project using annotations compliant with JPA2.0

    - by phmr
    I would like to setup an hibernate project, for this I use the lastest hibernate 3.5-Final. BTW my IDE is Netbeans. The problem is that each time a run the application, it seems to start from a fresh database whatever db backend I use (I tried hsqldb & sqlite): here is my persistence.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence version="1.0" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_1_0.xsd"> <persistence-unit name="PMMPU" transaction-type="RESOURCE_LOCAL"> <provider>org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence</provider> <class>model.Extrait</class> <class>model.Mot</class> <class>model.Prefixe</class> <class>model.Suffixe</class> <class>model.Texte</class> <properties> <property name="hibernate.dialect" value="dialect.SQLiteDialect"/> <property name="hibernate.connection.username" value=""/> <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class" value="org.sqlite.JDBC"/> <property name="hibernate.connection.password" value=""/> <property name="hibernate.connection.url" value="jdbc:sqlite:test.db"/> <property name="hibernate.cache.provider_class" value="org.hibernate.cache.NoCacheProvider"/> <property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto" value="update"/> </properties> </persistence-unit> </persistence> I tried to change hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto value. I got a HibernateUtil class which takes care of creating the emf & em: public class HibernateUtil { private static EntityManagerFactory emf = null; private static EntityManager em = null; public static EntityManagerFactory getEmf() { if(emf == null) emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("PMMPU"); return emf; } public static EntityManager getEm() { if(em == null) em = getEmf().createEntityManager(); return em; } What did a I do wrong ? edit1: further research with mysql lead me to think that the problem is related to sqlite & hsqldb interaction with hibernate 3.5

  • Merge Word Documents (Office Interop & .NET), Keeping Formatting

    - by mbmccormick
    I'm having some difficulty merging multiple word documents together using Microsoft Office Interop Assemblies (Office 2007) and ASP.NET 3.5. I'm able to merge the documents, but some of my formatting is missing (namely the fonts and images). My current merge code is shown below. private void CombineDocuments() { object wdPageBreak = 7; object wdStory = 6; object oMissing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value; object oFalse = false; object oTrue = true; string fileDirectory = @"C:\documents\"; Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application WordApp = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application(); Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document wDoc = WordApp.Documents.Add(ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing); string[] wordFiles = Directory.GetFiles(fileDirectory, "*.doc"); for (int i = 0; i < wordFiles.Length; i++) { string file = wordFiles[i]; wDoc.Application.Selection.Range.InsertFile(file, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oFalse); wDoc.Application.Selection.Range.InsertBreak(ref wdPageBreak); wDoc.Application.Selection.EndKey(ref wdStory, ref oMissing); } string combineDocName = Path.Combine(fileDirectory, "Merged Document.doc"); if (File.Exists(combineDocName)) File.Delete(combineDocName); object combineDocNameObj = combineDocName; wDoc.SaveAs(ref combineDocNameObj, ref m_WordDocumentType, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing, ref oMissing); } I don't care necessarily how this is accomplished. It could output via PDF if it had to. I just want the formatting to carry over. Any help or hints that you could provide me with would be appreciated! Thanks!

  • How to make Chrome redraw SVG dynamically added content?

    - by Adrian
    I've dynamacally added the circle elements to the svg displayed in a iFrame. Chrome isnt showing the new elements, not tried FF yet. Is there somekind of redraw/refresh I need to call? The first circle is actually in the svg document, the rest come from script. <iframe id="svgFrame" src="xmlfile1.svg" width="300" height="300"> <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" id="SVG1" width="200" height="200"> <circle cx="20" cy="20" r="5"/> <circle cx="165" cy="80" r="32"/> <circle cx="15" cy="38" r="32"/> <circle cx="140" cy="39" r="30"/> <circle cx="178" cy="32" r="22"/> ...etc <circle cx="166" cy="130" r="16"/> </svg> </iframe> The javascript which creates the elements: function RandomNumber(min, max) { var r; r = Math.floor(Math.random() * (max - min + 1)) + min; return r; } var svg = document.getElementById("svgFrame").contentDocument; for (var i = 0; i < 99; i++) { var n = svg.createElement("circle"); n.setAttribute("cx" , RandomNumber( 0 , 200) ); n.setAttribute("cy" , RandomNumber(0, 200) ); n.setAttribute("r" , RandomNumber(5, 35) ); svg.documentElement.appendChild(n); }

  • jQuery datepicker validation message issue

    - by Abhishek
    Hi, I'm using the jquery datepicker plugin at http://plugins.jquery.com/project/datepick with the datepicker validation plugin. <script id="frmValidation" type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ var validator = $("#frmTest").validate({ rules:{ fname: "required", dobPicker: "required" }, messages:{ fname: "Please enter a name", dobPicker: "Select a date" }, }); $('#dobPicker').datepick(); $.datepick.setDefaults({showOn: 'both', dateFormat: 'dd-mm-yy', yearRange:'1900:2010'}); }); </script> And the body of the document is as follows : <form id="frmTest" action="" method="post"> <div id="error-list"></div> <div class="form-row"> <span class="label"><label for="fname">Name</label></span> <input type="text" name="fname" /> </div> <div class="form-row"> <span class="label"><label for="dobPicker">DOB</label></span> <input type="text" id="dobPicker" name="dobPicker" style="margin-left: 4px;"/> </div> <div class="form-row"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit"/> </div> </form> The form validates the first time but the error message for the datepicker does not disappear immediately a date is selected.. however it goes away if the date is selected the second time. Any help to make it go the first time a date is selected will be appreciated

  • Passing in defaults within window.onload?

    - by Matrym
    I now understand that the following code will not work because I'm assigning window.onload to the result of the function, not the function itself. But if I remove the parens, I suspect that I have to explicitly call a separate function to process the config before the onload. So, where I now have: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <HEAD> <script type="text/javascript" src="lb-core.js"></script> <script type="application/javascript"> var lbp = { defaults: { color: "blue" }, init: function(config) { if(config) { for(prop in config){ setBgcolor.defaults[prop] = config[prop]; } } var bod = document.body; bod.style.backgroundColor = setBgcolor.defaults.color; } } var config = { color: "green" } window.onload = lbp.init(config); </script> </HEAD> <body> <div id="container">test</div> </body> </HTML> I imagine I would have to change it to: var lbp = { defaults: { color: "blue" }, configs: function(config){ for(prop in config){ setBgcolor.defaults[prop] = config[prop]; } }, init: function() { var bod = document.body; bod.style.backgroundColor = setBgcolor.defaults.color; } } var config = { color: "green" } lbp.configs(config); window.onload = lbp.init; Then, for people to use this script and pass in a configuration, they would need to call both of those bottom lines separately (configs and init). Is there a better way of doing this? Note: If your answer is to bundle a function of window.onload, please also confirm that it is not hazardous to assign window.onload within scripts. It's my understanding that another script coming after my own could, in fact, overwrite what I'd assigned to onload.

  • VS2008 javascript debugger IE8 "there is no source code available for the current location"

    - by Jeff Keslinke
    I have almost the same problem as this unanswered question. The only difference is I'm using VS2008, but I'm in an MVC project calling this javascript function: function CompanyChange(compCtrl) { alert(compCtrl.value); debugger; var test; for (var i = 0; i < document.all.length; i++) { test = document.all[i]; } } I hit the alert, then I get the message "there is no source code available for the current location." At which point the page becomes unresponsive and I have to manually stop the debugger just to shut it down. I've logged into another machine and ran this exact code and it works fine, I hit the debugger and can step through. I've checked to make sure all settings in VSToolsOptionsDebugging are identical as well as IEOptionsAdvanced and they are. Both machines are Windows 7 Enterprise edition 32-bit, VS2008, IE8. I've also tried attaching a process manually in VS, and using the 'Developer Tools' in IE which didn't work (said there already was a process attached). I was hoping someone may have had this problem and found a work-around because I've already done a lot of searching and tried all the options I've read. Anyone else run into this? Thank you, Jeff

  • asp.net update LINQ dbml files

    - by rockinthesixstring
    Is there a quick and easy way to update my LINQ dbml files? Right now, if I update a Stored Procedure, I need to open the dbml designer file, delete the old SP, save, drag and drop the new SP, and save again. I haven't researched this a whole bunch, but I'm wondering if there's an easy way for Visual Studio to just go into the DB and update the dbml to the latest SP's by just clicking an update button or something along those lines.

  • Async Load JavaScript Files with Callback

    - by Gcoop
    Hi All, I am trying to write an ultra simple solution to load a bunch of JS files asynchronously. I have the following script below so far. However the callback is sometimes called when the scripts aren't actually loaded which causes a variable not found error. If I refresh the page sometimes it just works because I guess the files are coming straight from the cache and thus are there quicker than the callback is called, it's very strange? var Loader = function () { } Loader.prototype = { require: function (scripts, callback) { this.loadCount = 0; this.totalRequired = scripts.length; this.callback = callback; for (var i = 0; i < scripts.length; i++) { this.writeScript(scripts[i]); } }, loaded: function (evt) { this.loadCount++; if (this.loadCount == this.totalRequired && typeof this.callback == 'function') this.callback.call(); }, writeScript: function (src) { var self = this; var s = document.createElement('script'); s.type = "text/javascript"; s.async = true; s.src = src; s.addEventListener('load', function (e) { self.loaded(e); }, false); var head = document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0]; head.appendChild(s); } } Is there anyway to test that a JS file is completely loaded, without putting something in the actual JS file it's self, because I would like to use the same pattern to load libraries out of my control (GMaps etc). Invoking code, just before the tag. var l = new Loader(); l.require([ "ext2.js", "ext1.js"], function() { var config = new MSW.Config(); Refraction.Application().run(MSW.ViewMapper, config); console.log('All Scripts Loaded'); }); Thanks for any help.

  • Parse XML tree with no id using LINQ to XML

    Requirement I want to read a XML tree, fill my objects with encountered attributes and after every run a method (insert it into my db). The amount of parents is not specified, also the order is not specified, it could be, address-death-death-address-address for example Input file Overview: <Root> <Element> <Element2> <Parent> <Child> <Grandchild> <Grandchild> </Child> </Parent> </Element2> </Element1> </Root> Full example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <Root> <Element1> <Element2> <Parent> <Child> <Grandchild> <number>01</number> <name>Person</name> <Rows> <Row> <number>0110</number> <name>ID</name> <value>123456789</value> </Row> </Rows> </Grandchild> <Grandchild> <number>08</number> <name>Address</name> <Rows> <Row> <number>1110</number> <name>street</name> <value>first aveneu</value> </Row> <Row> <number>1120</number> <name>streetnumber</name> <value>345</value> </Row> <Row> <number>1130</number> <name>zip</name> <value>2938PS</value> </Row> <Row> <number>1160</number> <name>country</name> <value>Germany</value> </Row> </Rows> </Grandchild> </Child> </Parent> <Parent> <Child> <Grandchild> <number>01</number> <name>Person</name> <Rows> <Row> <number>0110</number> <name>ID</name> <value>987654321</value> </Row> </Rows> </Grandchild> <Grandchild> <number>06</number> <name>Death</name> <Rows> <Row> <number>0810</number> <name>date</name> <value>2012-01-03</value> </Row> <Row> <number>0820</number> <name>placeOfDeath</name> <value>attic</value> </Row> <Row> <number>0830</number> <name>funeral</name> <value>burrial</value> </Row> </Rows> </Grandchild> </Child> </Parent> </Element2> </Element1> </Root> Desired result After encounter of parent determine type of grandchild (number 6 is death number 8 is address) Every parent has ALWAYS grandchild number 1 'Person', the second grandchild is either death or address. reading first parent Person person = new Person(); person.ID = value; <--- filled with 123456789 person.street = value; <--- filled with first aveneu person.streetnumber = value; <--- filled with 345 person.zip = value; <--- filled with 2938PS person.country = value; <--- filled with germany person.DoMethod(); // inserts the value in db Continue reading next parent.   • Map/Reduce on an array of hashes in CouchDB

    - by sebastiangeiger
    Hello everyone, I am looking for a map/reduce function to calculate the status in a Design Document. Below you can see an example document from my current database. { "_id": "0238f1414f2f95a47266ca43709a6591", "_rev": "22-24a741981b4de71f33cc70c7e5744442", "status": "retrieved image urls", "term": "Lucas Winter", "urls": [ { "status": "retrieved", "url": "http://...." }, { "status": "retrieved", "url": "http://..." } ], "search_depth": 1, "possible_labels": { "gender": "male" }, "couchrest-type": "SearchTerm" } I'd like to get rid of the status key and rather calculate it from the statuses of the urls. My current by_status view looks like the following: function(doc) { if (doc['status']) { emit(doc['status'], null); } } I tried some things but nothing actually works. Right now my Map Function looks like this: function(doc) { if(doc.urls){ emit(doc._id, doc.urls) } } And my Reduce Function function(key, value, rereduce){ var reduced_status = "retrieved" for(var url in value){ if(url.status=="new"){ reduced_status = "new"; } } return reduced_status; } The result is that I get retrieved everywhere which is definitely not right. I tried to narrow down the problem and it seems to be that value is no array, when I use the following Reduce Function I get length 1 everywhere, which is impossible because I have 12 documents in my database, each containing between 20 to 200 urls function(key, value, rereduce){ return value.length; } What am I doing wrong? (I know I want you to write code for me and I'm feeling guilty, but right now I do the calculation of the statuses in ruby after getting the data from the database. It would be nice to already get the right data from the database)

  • Using Unicode in fancyvrb’s VerbatimOut

    - by Konrad Rudolph
    Problem VerbatimOut from the “fancyvrb” package doesn’t play nicely with UTF-8 characters. Minimal working example: \documentclass{minimal} \usepackage[utf8]{inputenc} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage{fancyvrb} \begin{document} \begin{VerbatimOut}{\jobname.test} é \end{VerbatimOut} \input{\jobname.test} \end{document} Error message When compiled using pdflatex mini, this gives the error File ended while scanning use of \UTFviii@three@octets. A different error occurs when the sole occurrence of é above is replaced by something else, e.g. é */: Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8:### not set up for use with LaTeX. – indicating that in this case, LaTeX succeeds in reading a multi-byte UTF-8 character, but not knowing what to do with it (i.e. it’s the wrong character). In fact, when I open the produced .test file manually, it contains the character é, but in Latin-1 encoding! Proof: when I open the files in a hex editor, I get the following: Original file: C3 A9 (corresponds to LATIN SMALL LETTER E WITH ACUTE in UTF-8) Written file: E9 (corresponds to é in Latin-1) Question How to set VerbatimOut up correctly? filecontents* (from “filecontents”) shows that it can work. Unfortunately, I don’t understand either code so I cannot fix fancyvrb’s code by replicating the logic from filecontents manually. I also cannot use filecontents* instead of VerbatimOut because the former doesn’t work within a \newenvironment, while the latter does. (Oh, by the way: vanilla Verbatim instead of VerbatimOut also works as expected. The error seems to occur when writing the file, not when reading the verbatim input)

  • DBD::Oracle and utf8

This are my DB settings > --------SELECT * from NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS------------------------------- > NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET AL16UTF16 > NLS_LANGUAGE AMERICAN > NLS_TERRITORY AMERICA NLS_CURRENCY $ > NLS_ISO_CURRENCY AMERICA > NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS ., > NLS_CHARACTERSET UTF8 > NLS_CALENDAR GREGORIAN > NLS_DATE_FORMAT DD-MON-RR > NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE AMERICAN > NLS_SORT BINARY > NLS_TIME_FORMAT HH.MI.SSXFF AM > NLS_TIMESTAMP_FORMAT DD-MON-RR > HH.MI.SSXFF AM > NLS_TIME_TZ_FORMAT HH.MI.SSXFF AM TZR > NLS_TIMESTAMP_TZ_FORMAT DD-MON-RR > HH.MI.SSXFF AM TZR NLS_DUAL_CURRENCY $ > NLS_COMP BINARY > NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS CHAR > NLS_NCHAR_CONV_EXCP FALSE > NLS_RDBMS_VERSION 10.2.0.4.0 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This are my perl $dbh-ora_nls_parameters() $VAR1 = { 'NLS_LANGUAGE' => 'AMERICAN', 'NLS_TIME_TZ_FORMAT' => 'HH.MI.SSXFF AM TZR', 'NLS_SORT' => 'BINARY', 'NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS' => '.,', 'NLS_TIME_FORMAT' => 'HH.MI.SSXFF AM', 'NLS_ISO_CURRENCY' => 'AMERICA', 'NLS_COMP' => 'BINARY', 'NLS_CALENDAR' => 'GREGORIAN', 'NLS_DATE_FORMAT' => 'DD-MON-RR', 'NLS_DATE_LANGUAGE' => 'AMERICAN', 'NLS_TIMESTAMP_FORMAT' => 'DD-MON-RR HH.MI.SSXFF AM', 'NLS_TERRITORY' => 'AMERICA', 'NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS' => 'CHAR', 'NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET' => 'AL16UTF16', 'NLS_DUAL_CURRENCY' => '$', 'NLS_TIMESTAMP_TZ_FORMAT' => 'DD-MON-RR HH.MI.SSXFF AM TZR', 'NLS_NCHAR_CONV_EXCP' => 'FALSE', 'NLS_CHARACTERSET' => 'UTF8', 'NLS_CURRENCY' => '$' }; In my script I have: use utf-8; $ENV{NLS_LANG}='AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8'; .. $sth->bind_param(5, $myclobfield, {ora_type => ORA_CLOB, ora_csform => SQLCS_NCHAR}); .. The string prints out 1 on print Encode::is_utf8($myclobfield); But characters like òàè are not correctly inserted into the DB. (I tested with a utf8 compliant client that can correctly insert and read them) Can anyone suggest the best way to do it? Thanks

  • Uploadify - Passing Information Back to The Original Form

    I have an Send.aspx page that has an uploadify control on it. Upload.ashx handles the file upload. I am adding a file record to a sql database in the Upload.ashx file and I need to get the ID of that record back from Upload.aspx when it is done. Can't get it working with Sessions. =( Something to do with an Adobe bug? What would the best way to handle this be? Here is the uploadify control: <script type="text/javascript"> // <![CDATA[ var contestID = $('[id$=HiddenFieldContestID]').val(); var maxEntries = $('[id$=HiddenFieldMaxEntries]').val(); var userID = $('[id$=HiddenFieldUserID]').val(); $(document).ready(function() { $('#fileInput').uploadify({ 'uploader': '../uploadify/uploadify.swf', 'script': '../uploadify/Upload.ashx', 'scriptData': { 'contestID': contestID, 'maxEntries': maxEntries, 'userID': userID }, 'cancelImg': '../uploadify/cancel.png', 'auto': true, 'multi': false, 'fileDesc': 'Image Files', 'fileExt': '*.jpg;*.png;*.jpeg', 'queueSizeLimit': 1, 'sizeLimit': 4000000, 'buttonText': 'Choose Image', 'folder': '/uploads', 'onAllComplete': function(event, queueID, fileObj, response, data) { document.getElementById('<%= ButtonCleanup.ClientID %>').click(); } }); }); // ]]></script> Edit: See Answer below...
