    I am grabbing data through a jQuery Ajax call, and displaying it on the page. I need to wait for both the DOM to load and for the Ajax call to complete before I can use the data to display it on the page. Can an Ajax call ever complete before the DOM has loaded? I'm just trying to determine where I need to put my method that will manipulate the DOM and use the data I'm getting back.

  • php cURL problem

    I have a problem logging onto a page and then using it with cURL. I login, get PHPSESSID and cookie, and then try to do an action but page returns 'not logged in'. But if I manually log in and copy/paste that PHPSESSID into curl cookies .txt file, everything works fine. So why doesn't it work with PHPSESSID from cURL?

    in a PHP web page i need to run this following command to create a new domain: virtualmin create-domain --domain DOMAIN --pass PASS --plan 'Standard Package' --limits-from-plan --features-from-plan This is usually executed in a shell but i don't know how to do it from a web page and also i need to take the domain string and pass string from a web form.     Under the application settings page in the Administration console, it is possible to specify a name for the application, AFAIK this is used in the login page when using the users API to login. I would like to be able to use this information within an application, currently, the title is also specified in a separate configuration file, but configuration repetition is something I would like to avoid if at all possible. Is there some way for a GAE application to determine the "Application Title"? Oh, also, I am using python.

    I'm replacing a website that was previously HTML only. I put a GridView on the French and the English page and I'm getting 2 fields: A date and a currency. For the date, I need to transform it into a long date format. The English part isn't very hard, but when I get to the French page, I can't transform it into a long date format with French words (i.e.:Mardi instead of Tuesday). Is there any way to format the string with French date words instead?

    I have problem that i just cant figure out right now. I am trying to develop a Windows-8 style app and im stuck implementing this functionality. I have a MainWindow which contains a ListBox and a Button (lets say addButton). When i click the button i navigate to a new page, lets say AddCustomerPage with this.Frame.Navigate(typeof (AddCustomerPage)); AddCustomerPage has 1 textBox and 1 button (lets say doneButton. When i click the button i want the string in the textBox to be added to the ListBox on the previous page. This is my current functionality: 1. MainWindow is created. Click addButton AddCustomer page is created. MainWindow is destroyed(problem). Click doneButton A MainWindow object is created with a ListBox with 1 item. Repeat the add process, i always get a MainWindow with a ListBox with 1 item. Thanks for the help. At the moment, that code appears on a 'save' page that relates to a 'form' page (i.e. if I have 5 .php pages with a form on each, I need 5 save.php pages to save each pages data to the database) to save data to my SQL database. What I would like is to have a single save.php page that will work with as many 'form' pages as I have. So instead of manually having to setup and change each save page, it automates it. I've no idea of the coding to do this, though I suspect something like a foreacg or loop etc. Any suggestions? Thanks, Homer.
