  • Reflect and Load code at design time in Visual Studio

    - by Stacey
    I have an XML file that lists a series of items, and the items are often referenced by their name in code. Is there any way to use reflection within Visual Studio to make this list 'accessible' sort of like intellisence? I've seen it done before - and I'm pretty sure it's ridiculously difficult, but I figure it can't hurt to at least ask.

  • Uploading file to DropBox causing UnlinkedException

    - by Boardy
    I am currently working on android project and trying to enable DropBox functionality. I've selected the access type to App Only, and I can successfully authenticate and it creates an Apps directory and inside that creates a directory with the name of my app. When I then try to put a file in the DropBox directory it goes into the DropBoxException catch and in the logcat prints com.dropbox.client2.exception.DropboxUnlinkedException. I've done a google and from what I've seen this happens if the apps directory has been deleted and so authentication is required to be re-done, but this isn't the case, I have deleted it and I am putting the file straight after doing the authentication. Below is the code that retrieves the keys and stores the file on dropbox. AccessTokenPair tokens = getTokens(); UploadFile uploadFile = new UploadFile(context, common, this, mDBApi); uploadFile.execute(mDBApi); Below is the code for the getTokens method (don't think this would help but you never know) private AccessTokenPair getTokens() { AccessTokenPair tokens; SharedPreferences prefs = context.getSharedPreferences("prefs", 0); String key = prefs.getString("dropbox_key", ""); String secret = prefs.getString("dropbox_secret", ""); tokens = new AccessTokenPair(key, secret); return tokens; } Below is the class that extends the AsyncTask to perform the upload class UploadFile extends AsyncTask<DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession>, Void, bool> { Context context; Common common; Synchronisation sync; DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession> mDBApi; public UploadFile(Context context, Common common, Synchronisation sync, DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession> mDBApi) { this.context = context; this.common = common; this.sync = sync; this.mDBApi = mDBApi; } @Override protected bool doInBackground(DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession>... params) { try { File file = new File(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory() + "/BoardiesPasswordManager/dropbox_sync.xml"); FileInputStream inputStream = new FileInputStream(file); Entry newEntry = mDBApi.putFile("android_sync.xml", inputStream, file.length(), null, null); common.showToastMessage("Successfully uploade Rev: " + newEntry.rev, Toast.LENGTH_LONG); } catch (IOException ex) { Log.e("DropBoxError", ex.toString()); } catch (DropboxException e) { Log.e("DropBoxError", e.toString()); e.printStackTrace(); } return null; } I have no idea why it would display the UnlinkedException so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why does my Spring Controller direct me to the wrong page?

    - by kc2001
    I am writing my first Spring 3.0.5 MVC app and am confused about why my controller mappings aren't doing what I expect. I have a VerifyPasswordController that is called after a user tries to log in by entering his name and password. // Called upon clicking "submit" from /login @RequestMapping(value = "/verifyPassword", method = RequestMethod.POST) @ModelAttribute("user") public String verifyPassword(User user, BindingResult result) { String email = user.getEmail(); String nextPage = CHOOSE_OPERATION_PAGE; // success case if (result.hasErrors()) { nextPage = LOGIN_PAGE; } else if (!passwordMatches(email, user.getPassword())) { nextPage = LOGIN_FAILURE_PAGE; } else { // success } return nextPage; } I can verify in the debugger that this method is being called, but afterwards, the verifyPassword page is displayed rather than the chooseOperation page. The console output of WebLogic seems to show that my mapping are correct: INFO : org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping - Mapped URL path [/chooseOperation] onto handler 'chooseOperationController' INFO : org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping - Mapped URL path [/chooseOperation.*] onto handler 'chooseOperationController' INFO : org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping - Mapped URL path [/chooseOperation/] onto handler 'chooseOperationController' Here is the ChooseOperationController: @Controller @SessionAttributes("leaveRequestForm") public class ChooseOperationController implements PageIfc, AttributeIfc { @RequestMapping(value = "/chooseOperation") @ModelAttribute("leaveRequestForm") public LeaveRequest setUpLeaveRequestForm( @RequestParam(NAME_ATTRIBUTE) String name) { LeaveRequest form = populateFormFromDatabase(name); return form; } // helper methods omited } I welcome any advice, particularly "generic" techniques for debugging such mapping problems. BTW, I've also tried to "redirect" to the desired page, but got the same result. servlet-context.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <beans:beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:beans="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context" xsi:schemaLocation=" http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc/spring-mvc-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd"> <!-- DispatcherServlet Context: defines this servlet's request-processing infrastructure --> <!-- Enables the Spring MVC @Controller programming model --> <annotation-driven /> <!-- Handles HTTP GET requests for /resources/** by efficiently serving up static resources in the ${webappRoot}/resources directory --> <resources mapping="/resources/**" location="/resources/" /> <!-- Resolves views selected for rendering by @Controllers to .jsp resources in the /WEB-INF/views directory --> <beans:bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver"> <beans:property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/views/" /> <beans:property name="suffix" value=".jsp" /> </beans:bean> <context:component-scan base-package="com.engilitycorp.leavetracker" /> <beans:bean id="leaveRequestForm" class="com.engilitycorp.leavetracker.model.LeaveRequest" /> </beans:beans> The constants: String LOGIN_FAILURE_PAGE = "loginFailure"; String LOGIN_PAGE = "login"; String CHOOSE_OPERATION_PAGE = "chooseOperation";

  • How can I map a spring controller to a url with .jsp extension?

    - by Matteo Caprari
    Hi. We are in the process of migrating a jsp-only application to Spring-MVC. For various reasons we can't change the extension of the current pages. (calls to login.jsp need to handled by a spring controller that will use a jsp file as view). We are doing this iteratively, so some pages need to stay jsp files (calls to welcome.jsp won't be handled by a controller). To do that I mapped both the DispatcherDervlet and the HandlerMapping to *.jsp, and configured the JstlView in the standard way. Unfortunately, if I browse to //login.jsp I get an error saying <No mapping found for HTTP request with URI [/<context>/WEB-INF/jsp/login.jsp] in DispatcherServlet with name 'spring'> It all works if I change .jsp to any other extension in DispatcherServlet and HandlerMapping. web.xml: <servlet> <servlet-name>spring</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class> <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup> </servlet> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>spring</servlet-name> <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> spring-servlet.xml: <!-- View resolver --> <bean id="viewResolver" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.UrlBasedViewResolver"> <property name="viewClass" value="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.JstlView"/> <property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/jsp/"/> <property name="suffix" value=".jsp"/> </bean> <!-- URL Mapping --> <bean id="publicUrlMapping" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.handler.SimpleUrlHandlerMapping"> <property name="urlMap"> <map> <entry key="/login.jsp" value-ref="loginController"/> </map> </property> </bean> Thanks a lot.

  • Parse XHTML using Ruby

    - by Anant
    Is there any way I can parse a remote html page, in Ruby, preferably using jQuery like selectors? For example, I could select all the div having a specific class, and get the content of all those elements in an array. I was trying to use Regex for this, but I think using XML parser would be better.

  • Maven won't use public key to deploy

    - by magneticMonster
    I'm using SSH to deploy my Java artifacts to a server. I have the keys set up so that I can interactively SSH to the server without requiring a password, but when I try to run the "mvn deploy" or "mvn release:perform" commands, it hangs (at what I assume is the password prompt). My ~/.m2/settings.xml file contains the username for the server (because it is different than my local username) and references the id of the server that requires the different user.

  • Getting 404 when attempting to POST file to Google Cloud Storage from service account

    - by klactose
    I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the proper syntax & formatting for a service account to send a POST Object to bucket request? I'm attempting it programmatically using the HttpComponents library. I manage to get a token from my GoogleCredential, but every time I construct the POST request, I get: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><Error><Code>AccessDenied</Code><Message>Access denied.</Message><Detailsbucket-name</Details></Error The Google documentation that describes the request methods, mentions posting using html forms, but I'm hoping that wasn't suggesting the ONLY way to get the job done. I know that HttpComponents has a way to explicitly create form data by using UrlEncodedFormEntity, but it doesn't support multipart data. Which is why I went with using the MultipartEntity class. My code is below: MultipartEntity entity = new MultipartEntity( HttpMultipartMode.BROWSER_COMPATIBLE ); String token = credential.getAccessToken(); entity.addPart("Authorization", new StringBody("OAuth " + token)); String date = formatDate(new Date()); entity.addPart("Date", new StringBody(date)); entity.addPart("Content-Encoding", new StringBody("UTF-8")); entity.addPart("Content-Type", new StringBody("multipart/form-data")); entity.addPart("bucket", new StringBody(bucket)); entity.addPart("key", new StringBody("fileName")); entity.addPart("success_action_redirect", new StringBody("/storage")); File uploadFile = new File("pathToFile"); FileBody fileBody = new FileBody(uploadFile, "text/xml"); entity.addPart("file", fileBody); httppost.setEntity(entity); System.out.println("Posting URI = "+httppost.toString()); HttpResponse response = client.execute(httppost); HttpEntity resp_entity = response.getEntity(); As I mentioned, I am able to get an actual token, so I'm pretty sure the problem is in how I've formed the request as opposed to not being properly authenticated. Keep in mind: This is being performed by a service account. Which means that it does have Read/Write access Thanks for reading, and I appreciate any help!

  • setting user.dir system property in JBoss 5.1

    - by Spiderman
    In JBoss 4.2.3 the System property 'user.dir' is defined to be <JBoss-root>/bin when I ran the same application on JBoss 5.1 I noticed that it cannot find the System property user.dir why there is no default definition for version 5.1? and how can I define it manually? I followed this suggestion and added my property into properties-service.xml but it had no affect and still JBoss couldn't find the system:user.dir value.

  • Autowire not working in junit test

    - by Dave Paroulek
    I'm sure I'm missing something simple. bar gets autowired in the junit test, but why doesn't bar inside foo get autowired? @RunWith(SpringJUnit4ClassRunner.class) @ContextConfiguration({"beans.xml"}) public class BarTest { @Autowired Object bar; @Test public void testBar() throws Exception { //this works assertEquals("expected", bar.someMethod()); //this doesn't work, because the bar object inside foo isn't autowired? Foo foo = new Foo(); assertEquals("expected", foo.someMethodThatUsesBar()); } }

  • Android pluginable application

    - by Alxandr
    I've been trying to create an android-application the last couple of weeks, and mostly everything has worked out great, but there is one thing that I was wondering about, and that is pluginability trough the use of intents. What I'm trying to create is basically a comic-reader. As of the version I use now, I open the application and get a list of commics that are my favourites, then I enter one to get a detailed view, and finally I enter a page. This is managed trough 3 activities. List, Details and Page. However, as of now the application can only read comics of one source (a specialiced xml-feed comming from my server), and I was hoping to be able to expand this a litle (also, the page-activity and some other stuff needs to be cleaned up in, so I'm thinking about remaking from scratch, and just take the first go as a learning-round). And I came up with an idea which I think sounds great, but I don't know if it's possible, but this is what I'm thinking about: The user enters the application and get an (first time empty) list of comics. The user hits a button to find comics, this launces an intent that says something like "find comic" or something like that. This should cause the system to display all matching activities. This would make it possible to provide different comic-providers trough different applications. Another activity kicks in and might displays some options to the user (for instance a file-browser), or might not (in the example of an xml-feed, which should just load). The list is returned to the first activity and displayed to the user. The second (find) activity is closed. The user picks a comic from the list. This should open some details-activity. The details-activity should receive a key which corresponds to the comic selected. This should be unique amongst the comic-providers. The details-view should get it's data trough some cind of content-provider, or an activity (whichever is most suited, if one of them is). The user can select a page. This should be the same routine as step 5. My question is, is this possible in the android system, and if it is, is it a bad idea? And also, is there any better way to achieve more or less the same thing?

  • Loading an NSArray on iPhone from a dynamic data base url in PHP or ASP

    - by Brad
    I have a database online that I would like to be able to load into an NSArray in my app. I can use arrayWithContentsOfURL with a static file, but I really need to go to a url that generates a plist file from the database and loading it into the array. I can use ASP or PHP. I tried setting the response type to "text/xml", but that doesn't help. Any thoughts?

    I am trying to export a fusion chart created using 'Embedding Charts Using / Tags'. Export works just perfect with the right click (on the chart) and chose a pdf to export. But I am not able to make this work via javascript. I have a button outside the chart which upon clicking calls the function below function myexport() { var object = getChartFromId('myChartid'); if( object.hasRendered() ) object.exportChart({exportFormat: 'PDF'}); } the object above returned is null and this fails on the next line here is the full prototype <html> <head> <title>My Chart</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="fusionCharts.debug.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="fusionChartsExportComponent.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function ExportMyChart() { var cObject = getChartFromId('Column3D'); if( cObject.hasRendered() ) cObject.exportChart({exportFormat: 'PDF'}); } </script> </head> <body> <object width="400" height="400" id="Column3D" classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" > <param name="testname" value="Column3D.swf" /> <param name="FlashVars" value="&dataURL=testData.xml&chartWidth=400&chartHeight=300&DOMId=myChart1&registerWithJS=1&debugMode=0"> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="Column3D.swf" flashVars="&dataURL=testData.xml&chartWidth=400&chartHeight=300&DOMId=myChart1&registerWithJS=1&debugMode=0" width="400" height="300" name="Column3D" quality="high" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /> </object> <!-- We also create a DIV to contain the FusionCharts client-side exporter component --> <div id="holderDiv" align="center">FusionCharts Export Handler Component</div> <script type="text/javascript"> var myExportComponent = new FusionChartsExportObject("testExporter1", "FCExporter.swf"); //Render the exporter SWF in our DIV fcexpDiv myExportComponent.Render("holderDiv"); </script> <input type="button" value="Export My Chart" onclick="ExportMyChart()" />
