    If it's possible to change mock behaviour in Rhino Mocks using mock.Stub().Return(), why do we need Stubs anyway? What do we lose by always using MockRepository.GenerateMock()? One big benefit of using Mocks instead of Stubs is that we will be able to reuse the same instance among all the tests keeping them cleaner and straightforward. The moq framework works in a similar way... we don't have different objects for mocks and stubs. (please, don't answer with a link to Fowler's "Mocks aren't stubs" article)

    I know we can have this in 1.4: $("a").bind({ click : clickFn, mouseover: mouseFn }); and that is nice and i would like to use it, but it seems like there is no way to pass extra data to events bound this way, it needs to be done the 'old way': $("a").bind("click", {"some":"data"}, clickFn); Question: how can i pass the extra data to my event call backs and bind multiple events in a single bind at the same time?

At the marked line, am I always guaranteed to get a NullPointerException, or foo() will get invoked on a half constructed instance?

  • Redirect everything to index.php

    I'm trying to do clean urls by exploding $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] and then switching between the results. However, once a user goes outside index.php, I'm assuming I need to redirect them back to index.php in order to process the URL they want to reach. How can I accomplish this? So for instance, user goes to www.domain.com/home/johndoe/... i'd like the index.php (domain.com/index.php) to be hit so that it can process the /home/johndoe/ via request_uri.

    I'm trying to send an ActionSheet a variable from a button. I can't use the tag property because its being used for something else. I've declared myIndexRow as an instance variable and have: NSInteger myIndexRow = indexPath.row; [deleteButton addTarget:self action:@selector(showDeleteSheet:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; deleteButton.myIndexRow = myIndexRow; but I'm getting the 'Request for member 'myRow' is something not a structure or union' There is something obvious I am missing here.

    I'm getting this error in CodeIgniter when trying to load the email library: Can't use method return value in write context It's happening on line 827 of Loader.php in [codeigniter root]/system/libraries/Loader.php include_once($filepath); where $filepath equals "/var/www/system/libraries/Email.php" I called it like this in another php file: $this->load->library('email'); where $this is the CodeIgniter instance. According to the CodeIgniter email doc page, I'm doing it right. But it's not working...

    Hi, Is there any way to refer more than one widget (ui controls) by a single id For example i have many ImageView with same android:id="myimageview" And in my activity myimageview = (ImageView)findViewById(R.id.myimageview); So if i set an image using myimageview.setImageBitmap(somebitmap); i need that image in all of my Imageview with id myimageview But when i tried this only one of imageview got this change.     hi, I want to learn hadoop. However, I don't have access to a cluster now. Is it possible for me to learn it and use it for writing programs and learn it properly. Would it be helpful to run multiple linux VMs and then use them as boxes to run hadoop? Or you think that is more of a stretch and running it on a multiple hosts is the same as running in on single host (in terms of setup, Hadoop API used, the architecture of the map-reduce programs etc) Thanks,

  • MVC, can model save/load its data?

    Quick question, my data model is a singleton object and it contains a list of names I want archive. My idea is to make the model responsible for loading / saving this data. The ModelLoad will then be called by the ViewControllerviewDidLoad and the ModelSave by ViewControllerapplicationWillTerminate. I could do the load / save directly within the ViewController, but this would be messy as the list of names are on instance variable of the model. gary

    I have a typical definition/instance situation in my data modeling. I'm trying to store the content_type of a GenericForeignKey in another model (the definition model) like so: class IndicatorFieldInstance(models.Model): definition = models.ForeignKey(IndicatorField) object_id = models.PositiveIntegerField() content_object = generic.GenericForeignKey(definition.content_type, 'object_id') indicator_instance = models.ForeignKey(IndicatorInstance) I've also tried it like this: content_object = generic.GenericForeignKey('definition__content_type', 'object_id') Neither of these methods seem to work. Is it possible to achieve this? Extra info: it seems to be working... kind of. But the webservice return nothing. During the connection, the method didReceiveResponse execute once and the didFinishLoading method executes as well. But not even once the method didReceiveData. I wonder if, even though there is no USA locations, it will still send at least something? is there a way to know which are the parameters the function is waiting for? I don't have access to the source of the webservice but i can access the WSDL.
