• Start all tab's activities for pre-cache

  I have a TabActivity with three tabs defined. The first tab is light-weight and renders in acceptable time. But the 2nd and 3rd tab, does need a couple of seconds to get visually rendered, after I click them. I would like to launch them, after I've loaded my first tab, in background for pre-cache. Once they are loaded, I can switch quickly between them. So I am wondering how can I launch the 2nd and 3rd tab. They are intents loaded in the view area.

• Incrementing through mysql PHP

  I am looking at try to increment and decrement by three records through a table and present those records. Say if the id '4' is currently active. I want the to be display the ID's and category of 3.2.1 and 5.6.7 from an increment and decrement So far I have: $stmt = $db->query("SELECT id, category FROM test"); $stmt->execute(); while ($results = $stmt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) { $current = $results['id']; $category = $results['category']; $next = array(array('slide_no' => $current, 'category' => $category)); } print_r($next); Now with this, I am getting back every row in the table. I'm now getting confused on how I could increment and decrement the records by 3 and make sure that the category will also increment correctly. Thank you very much.

  Libev uses three data structures to storage different watchers. Heap: for watchers that sorted by time, such as ev_timer and ev_periodic. Linked list: such as ev_io, ev_signal, ev_child and etc. Array: such as ev_prepare, ev_check, ev_async and etc. There is no doubt about that uses heap to store timer watcher. But what is the criteria of selecting linked list and array? The data structure that stores ev_io watchers seems a little complex. It first is an array that with fd as its index and the element in the array is a linked list of ev_io watcher. It is more convenient to allocate space for array if use linked list as element. Is it the reason? Or just because of the insert or remove operation of ev_io is more frequently and the ev_prepare seems more stable? Or any other reasons?

• How do I Capture native (Menu) button presses in PhoneGap?

  By calling "BackButton.override();" and then hooking on to the backKeyDown event, I am able to get the back button press to register. But there doesn't appear to be a "MenuButton.override();" Also, hooking on the menuKeyDown doesn't register a button press. Here's my (non-functional) code. • Writing different structs to a file in C++? [on hold]

  I need a way to write structures of three different kinds to a binary file, which later has to be searched. (As in, for example, struct A has two fields, an int and a char; struct B has int and a long; I need to output all structures whose int equals the one given from keyboard). I understand how to write structs of the same kind to a file and how to search them, but here I am just lost, best thing I came up with is declaring a struct containing all possibly needed fields and leaving the ones I don't need empty, but it really feels wrong, there HAS to be a better way to do that. I've read about binary files and could not find anything relevant, most examples and tutorials deal with writing one data type. Could anyone point me in the right direction? EDIT: I am looking for what @Jerry_coffin called database mode, and will probably use one of the existing database systems for that, best way to go, probably. Thank you everybody for the suggestions

  I have a regex which I'm using to match user functions inside an IDE (Sublime). This matches what I want (the function name itself), but it also matches the first parentheses. Therefore the match is like follows: this._myFunction('content'); Notice the opening paran. Here is my expression: (?:[^\._])?([\w-]+)(?:[\(]){1} How can I exclude the opening paran from getting matched? . As a bonus question: How can I successfully not match the string: function, because as you can expect function( matches (not fun in JS). Thank you to anyone who can assist.

Tag with text can't be inside the DIV. Playing with z-index didn`t help. My browser is IE8.

  I want to know how to find if there is a certain amount of consecutive numbers in a row in my list e.g. For example if I am looking for two 1's then: list = [1, 1, 1, 4, 6] #original list list = ["true", "true", 1, 4, 6] #after my function has been through the list. If I am looking for three 1's then: list = [1, 1, 1, 4, 6] #original list list = ["true", "true", "true", 4, 6] #after my function has been through the list. • Play/pause HTML 5 video using JQuery

  I am trying to control HTML5 videos using JQuery. I have two clips in a tabbed interface, there are six tabs in total, the others just have images. I am trying to make the video clips play when their tab is clicked and then stop when any of the others are clicked. This must be a simple thing to do but I cant seem to get it to work, the code I am using to play the video is: $('#playMovie1').click(function(){ $('#movie1').play(); }); I have read that the video element needs to be exposed in a function to be able to control it but can't find an example. I am able to make it work using JS: document.getElementById('movie1').play(); Any advice would be great. Thanks

• CouchDB: How to change view function via javascript?

  Hello Guys, I am playing around with CouchDB to test if it is "possible" [1] to store scientific data (simulated and experimental raw data + metadata). A big pro is the schema-less approach of CouchDB: we have to be very flexible with the metadata, as the set of parameters changes very often. Up to now I have some code to feed raw data, plots (both as attachments), and hierarchical metadata (as JSON) into CouchDB documents, and have written some prototype Javascript for filtering and showing. But the filtering is done on the client side (a.k.a. browser): The map function simply returns everything. How could I change the (or push a second) map function of a specific _design-document with simple browser-JS? I do not think that a temporary view would yield any performance gain... • Showing a loading page in a google chrome extension

  I have searched high and low for this but whatever i do this simply does not seem to work. I have a google chrome extension which send an XHR request using a background.js file. Now my requirement is that i need to show a small loading icon while the xhr request is proceeding. Are there any tutorials out there which explains how to do this. I have tried an iframe but it looks ugly when it expands as the entire popup.html expands. Is jquery my only option here because that would mean adding a lot of size to my current project just for a simple animation.

  The method sliding on collections returns a sliding window of given size in the form of X[Iterable[A]] with X being the type of the collection and A the element type. Often I need two or three elements and I prefer to have them named. One ugly workaround for sliding(2) is the following: points.sliding(2).foreach{ twoPoints => val (p1,p2) = (twoPoints.head,twoPoints.last) //do something } This sucks and only works for two elements. Also note that (a,b) = (twoPoints(0),twoPoints(1)) doesn't work. Help me!

• Alert Box Running First?

  I have some jQuery/JS below. If I run this the alert will show, and then the first animate will happen in the background but not be shown. It will just appear at the final size. Shouldn't the alert run at the end of all the animation? Can anyone explain why this is happening?

  Hi! I have a "super entity" SuperEntity and three entities ChildEntity1, ..., ChildEntity3 which extends the super class. It's easy to search for all entities in the database, i.e. we could use session.createCriteria(SuperEntity.class); It's no problem to search for one specific entity type, too, just replace the SuperEntity with any of the children to look for entities of that type. But I have a problem when allowing 'multiple choice' for the types. I.e., it could be neccessary to search all entities of type 1 and 2, but not of type 3. A first idea was to create two independent queries and join the results in a final list - but that would destroy the paging which uses offset and limit functionality of the database... Is there a possibility in Criteria to join two different queries in one single result list? Kind regards, RoCMe

So the class would be something like: class xFromArray() { } So the above if I passed $array_1 it would generate something like this: private $one; setOne($x) { $one = $x; } getOne() { return $one; } if I passed $array_2 it would generate something like this: private $red; setRed($x) { $red = $x; } getRed() { return $red; } So I would call it somehow like this? Here is my code html <li> <a href="#">Services</a> <div class="subcategories"> <a href="#">Cleaning</a> </div> </li> The subcategories div is hidden. js $('li a').hover(function() { $(this).next().slideToggle('fast', function() { }); }); This code works. The problem is that when the mouse goes out of the li a the subcategories div disappears. What i want is that when the user point the li a the subcategories div to be shown so the user be able to click on some link of the sub navigation.

• Having trouble with Flash, Javascript and JQuery

  I'm using JQuery with the JQuery flash plugin (http://jquery.lukelutman.com/plugins/flash/) and trying to send a JS call back to the flash, I keep running into "xxx is not a function" so apparently something is off. I'm new to JQuery and very new to this jquery flash plugin and just can't quite wrap my head around what I am doing wrong.   I know there are three retention policies for Java annotations: CLASS: Annotations are to be recorded in the class file by the compiler but need not be retained by the VM at run time. RUNTIME: Annotations are to be recorded in the class file by the compiler and retained by the VM at run time, so they may be read reflectively. SOURCE: Annotations are to be discarded by the compiler. And although I understand their usage scenarios, I don't get why it is such an important thing to specify the retention policy that retention policies exist at all. I mean, why aren't all the annotations just kept at runtime? Do they generate so much bytecode / occupy so much memory that stripping those undeclared as RUNTIME does make that much difference?
