i am searching for this string: <li class="g w0"><h3 class=r> within the html source of this link: "http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Santarus Inc?" this is how i am searching for it: d=html.IndexOf(@"<li class=""g w0""><h3 class=r><a href=""",1); for some reason it is finding an occurence of it that is incorrect. Form submitted via dialog opens dialog again

I have a form in a jquerymobile dialog box that I am submitting via jQuery Ajax. Currently my problem is that once the form is submitted the same dialog box is opened again on top of the original dialogbox. So that my url reads before submission: url/index.php#&ui-state=dialog and then after submission: url/index.php#&ui-state=dialog#&ui-state=dialog&ui-state=dialog Has anyone ever encountered something like this before? How do I build a JSON object to send to an AJAX WebService?

After trying to format my JSON data by hand in javascript and failing miserably, I realized there's probably a better way. Trouble getting $.ajax() to work in PhoneGap against a locally hosted server

Currently trying to make an ajax post request to an IIS Express hosted MVC 4 Web API end point from an android VM (Bluestacks) on my machine. I am also worried about overriding information that is already in the list or just adding again. Don't want to keep adding the same data. What is a good way to avoid this? How to use pure in D 2.0

While playing around with D 2.0 I found the following problem: Example 1: pure string[] run1() { string[] msg; msg ~= "Test"; msg ~= "this."; return msg; } This compiles and works as expected. When I try to wrap the string array in a class I find I can not get this to work: class TestPure { string[] msg; void addMsg( string s ) { msg ~= s; } }; pure TestPure run2() { TestPure t = new TestPure(); t.addMsg("Test"); t.addMsg("this."); return t; } This code will not compile because the addMsg function is impure. I can not make that function pure since it alters the TestPure object. Am i missing something? Or is this a limitation? The following does compile: pure TestPure run3() { TestPure t = new TestPure(); t.msg ~= "Test"; t.msg ~= "this."; return t; } Would the ~= operator not been implemented as a impure function of the msg array? How come the compiler does not complain about that in the run1 function?

Problem with using malloc in link lists (urgent ! help please)

I've been working on this program for five months now. Its a real time application of a sensor network. I create several link lists during the life of the program and Im using malloc for creating a new node in the link. What happens is that the program suddenly stops or goes crazy and restarts. Im using AVR and the microcontroller is ATMEGA 1281. After a lot of debugging I figured out that that the malloc is causing the problem. I do not free the memory after exiting the function that creates a new link so Im guessing that this is eventually causing the heap memory to overflow or something like that. Now if I use the free() function to deallocate the memory at the end of the function using malloc, the program just gets stuck when the control reaches free(). Is this because the memory becomes too clustered after calling free() ? I also create reference tables for example if 'head' is a new link list and I create another list called current and make it equal to head. table *head; table *current = head; After the end of the function if I use free free(current); current = NULL: Then the program gets stuck here. I dont know what to do. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to increase the size of the heap memory Please help...

How can we change views in a UISplitViewController other than using the popover and selecting?

I have done a sample app with UISplitViewController studying the example they have provided. I have created three detailviews and have configured them to change by the default means. Either using the left/master view in landscape AND using the popover in the portrait orientation. Now I am trying to move to another view(previous/next) from the currentView by using left/right swipe in each view. For that, what I did was just created a function in the RootViewController. I copy-pasted the same code as that of the tablerow selection used by the popover from the RootViewController. I am calling this function from my current view's controller and is passing the respective index of the view(to be displayed next) from the current view. Function is being called but nothing is happening. Plz help me OR is anyother way to do it other than this complex step? Template Sort In C++

Hey all, I'm trying to write a sort function but am having trouble figuring out how to initialize a value, and making this function work as a generic template. The sort works by: Find a pair =(ii,jj)= with a minimum value = ii+jj = such at A[ii]A[jj] If such a pair exists, then swap A[ii] and A[jj] else break; The function I have written is as follows: template <typename T> void sort(T *A, int size) { T min =453; T temp=0; bool swapper = true; while(swapper) { swapper = false; int index1 = 0, index2 = 0; for (int ii = 0; ii < size-1; ii++){ for (int jj = ii + 1; jj < size; jj++){ if((min >= (A[ii]+A[jj])) && (A[ii] > A[jj])){ min = (A[ii]+A[jj]); index1 = ii; index2 = jj; swapper = true; } } } if (!swapper) return; else { temp = A[index1]; A[index1] = A[index2]; A[index2] = temp; sort(A,size); } } } This function will successfully sort an array of integers, but not an array of chars. I do not know how to properly initialize the min value for the start of the comparison. I tried initializing the value by simply adding the first two elements of the array together (min = A[0] + A[1]), but it looks to me like for this algorithm it will fail. I know this is sort of a strange type of sort, but it is practice for a test, so thanks for any input.

Silverlight Async Design Pattern Issue

I'm in the middle of a Silverlight application and I have a function which needs to call a webservice and using the result complete the rest of the function. My issue is that I would have normally done a synchronous web service call got the result and using that carried on with the function. As Silverlight doesn't support synchronous web service calls without additional custom classes to mimic it, I figure it would be best to go with the flow of async rather than fight it. So my question relates around whats the best design pattern for working with async calls in program flow. In the following example I want to use the myFunction TypeId parameter depending on the return value of the web service call. But I don't want to call the web service until this function is called. Geolocation and jQuery - Can't post results using ajax

I'm currently working on a project to make a location-aware site. In essence, the user comes to the page, and their location is found using the HTML5 method and then using jQuery, the location is posted to a page which saves the location/address to a codeigniter session, but if they want to update their location, or change to a different location(IE they want to use their work address as the location instead of their present address), theres a jQuery colorbox that displays and lets them type in a custom address. Everything works flawlessly to get the initial location, but when I try and get the updated location saved, I receive the error "Uncaught TypeError: Object [object DOMWindow] has no method 'lat'" which then Google Chrome references as being an error not in jQuery, but in the file for Google Maps API. This part doesn't: function callback(event){ console.log(this); } this in IE is returning [object Window], whereas it returns the element that called the callback function in every other browser. This is cut down significantly from my full script, but this should be everything that's relevant. EDIT This link provided by @metadings How to reference the caller object ("this") using attachEvent is very close. However, there are still two issues. 1) I need to get both the event object and the DOM element calling this function. 2) This event is handled delegation style: there may be child DOM elements firing the event, meaning event.target is not necessarily (and in my case, not typically) the element with the listener.

Executing javascript script after ajax-loaded a page - doesn't work

I'm trying to get a page with AJAX, but when I get that page and it includes Javascript code - it doesn't execute it. Why? Simple code in my ajax page: <script type="text/javascript"> alert("Hello"); </script> ...and it doesn't execute it. I'm trying to use Google Maps API and add markers with AJAX, so whenever I add one I execute a AJAX page that gets the new marker, stores it in a database and should add the marker "dynamically" to the map. But since I can't execute a single javascript function this way, what do I do? returning autorelease NSString still causes memory leaks

I have a simple function that returns an NSString after decoding it. I use it a lot throughout my application, and it appears to create a memory leak (according to "leaks" tool) every time I use it. Leaks tells me the problem is on the line where I alloc the NSString that I am going to return, even though I autorelease it. Here is the function: -(NSString *) decodeValue { NSString *newString; newString = [self stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:@"#" withString:@"$"]; NSData *stateData = [NSData dataWithBase64EncodedString:newString]; NSString *convertState = [[[NSString alloc] initWithData:stateData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding] autorelease]; return convertState; } My understanding of [autorelease] is that it should be used in exactly this way... where I want to hold onto the object just long enough to return it in my function and then let the object be autoreleased later. So I believe I can use this function through code like this without manually releasing anything: NSString *myDecodedString = [myString decodeValue]; But this process is reporting leaks and I don't understand how to change it to avoid the leaks. What am I doing wrong?
