    I've an Seagate 500 GB external HD (NTFS). To read/write it on Mac (OSX 10.6.2) , I've tried MacFUSE and NTFS-3G to write my HD on Mac. Though I could be able to see the hard drive, it takes too long to see the contents like this is this normal ? also the data transfer takes too long time and the hard disk becomes too hot . Any suggestions are most welcome.

  • HTC Desire Data Plan Only in Australia. Possible?

    - by James
    I am moving to Australia, and want to get an HTC Desire and ideally pay for a data plan only, using skype for my calls. Is this possible with one of the providers down there and what will it ultimately cost including skype and all fees per month? Are there cheaper alternatives?

  • XPath query returning 'false' in SimpleXML

    - by Drew
    Hi all, I have an xml fragment as such: <meta_tree type="root"> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Content Provider</meta_cat> <data>Mammoth</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Genre</meta_cat> <data>Games</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Channel Name</meta_cat> <data>Games Trailers</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Collection</meta_cat> <data>Strategy</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Custom 1</meta_cat> <data>PC</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>DRM Protected</meta_cat> <data>N</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Aspect Ratio</meta_cat> <data>16:9</data> </meta_data> <meta_data> <meta_cat>Streaming Type</meta_cat> <data>VOD</data> </meta_data> </meta_tree> which I garnered from the snippet of $meta_tree->asXML(). So given that, I need to have an xpath query for each element, so I'm using: $meta_tree->xpath("/meta_data[meta_cat='Content Provider']"); but this returns false. I have tried: "/meta_tree/meta_data[meta_cat='Content Provider']" "//meta_data[meta_cat='Content Provider']" I've been using AquaPath, which validates my query, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Anyone got any ideas? DJS.

  • What is the preferred method of refreshing a combo box when the data changes?

    - by Craig Johnston
    What is the preferred method of refreshing a combo box when the data changes? If a form is open and the combo box data is already loaded, how do you refresh the contents of the combo box without the form having to be closed and reloaded? Do you have to do something on the Click event on the combo box? This would seem to be a potential slow down for the app if there is a hit to the database every time someone clicks on a combo box.

  • Too much data for RSA block fail. What is PKCS#7?

    - by Tom Brito
    Talking about javax.crypto.Cipher; I was trying to encrypt data using Cipher.getInstance("RSA/None/NoPadding", "BC"); but I got the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: too much data for RSA block Looks like is something related to the "NoPadding", so, reading about padding, looks like CBC is the best approach to use here. I found at google something about "RSA/CBC/PKCS#7", what is this "PKCS#7"? And why its not listed on sun's standard algorithm names?

  • What's the best way to backup a web server with 30GB of data?

    - by andypa
    I currently have a server(Linux) running with around 10'000 users daily on it. The hoster offers a backup which I'm also using. Although I trust my hoster, I would like to have an offsite backup, just in case the hoster goes down for a longer time or goes bankrupt (you never know). My idea was to tar and split the data and copy the archive to my Amazon S3 account but I'm wondering if that's the best idea? Any tip is appreciated. Thanks, Andy

    - by Ben Dauphinee
    I am working with jQuery Pagination, and a popup form. On saving the data in the form, how would I go about forcing the Pagination plugin to reload the data it would load for whatever page I am on, without reloading the entire webpage? Ex: Item 1 Item 2 Item 3 Add Item-Item 23-Save-Reload List Item 1 Item 2 Item 3 Item 23 http://d-scribe.de/webtools/jquery-pagination/lib/jquery_pagination/README

  • KnockoutJS radio buttons not changing like checkboxes do

    - by Gaui
    I have the same data structure for checkboxes and radio buttons. When checking the checkboxes, they return correct boolean value ('chosen' variable). However, when I check the radio buttons, 'chosen' always changes to the 'value' (integer). Also the radio buttons don't get "checked" in the beginning, even though 'chosen' == true Javascript: function attributeValueViewModel(data) { var self = this; self.id = ko.observable(data.id); self.attributeID = ko.observable(data.attributeID); self.value = ko.observable(data.value); self.chosen = ko.observable(data.chosen); } function viewModel() { var self = this; self.attributeValues1 = ko.observableArray([]); self.attributeValues2 = ko.observableArray([]); self.addToList = function(data) { ko.utils.arrayForEach(data, function(item) { self.attributeValues1.push(new attributeValueViewModel(item)); self.attributeValues2.push(new attributeValueViewModel(item)); }); }; } var arr = [ { "id": 55, "attributeID": 28, "value": "Yes", "chosen": false, }, { "id": 56, "attributeID": 28, "value": "No", "chosen": true, }, { "id": 62, "attributeID": 28, "value": "Maybe", "chosen": false, } ]; var vm = new viewModel(); ko.applyBindings(vm); vm.addToList(arr); HTML <b>Checkbox:</b> <div id="test1"> <span data-bind="foreach: attributeValues1()"> <input type="checkbox" data-bind="value: id(), checked: chosen, attr: { name: 'test1' }" /> <span data-bind="text: value()"></span> <span data-bind="text: chosen()"></span> </span> </div> <br /> <b>Radio:</b> <div id="test2"> <span data-bind="foreach: attributeValues2()"> <input type="radio" data-bind="value: id(), checked: chosen, attr: { name: 'test2' }" /> <span data-bind="text: value()"></span> <span data-bind="text: chosen()"></span> </span> </div>? Here is my fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/SN7Vn/1/ Can you please explain this behavior and why the radio buttons don't update boolean (like checkboxes do)?
