    On Page_Load() in the codebehind, I'd like to enumerate all the <link> tags. The purpose being I want want to add a <link> to a CSS file if it isn't specified in the Page's markup. How can I do this? I'm thinking I should be able to use LINQ on the collection of elements in the header, no?     We have some legacy software which depends on sending keystrokes to a DOS window and then scraping the screen. I am trying to re-create the software by redirecting the input and output streams of the process directly to my application. I can send basic text and I receive response's fine. I just need to emulate these modifiers.

  • Huge dataset point in polygon in .net (collision detection)

    I have a pretty big mesh with polygons, usually triangles but sometimes rectangles. Each point in my mesh has a value (value has nothing to do with coordinates). Now I am creating a second mesh in the same coordinate-space as the old mesh. I now want to interpolate out values for all points (vertices) in the new mesh using the values from the old mesh. Now I could loop each polygon in the new mesh and detect which old vertices are in each polygon by making 2d collision detection (altho even this I don't get to function properly so if anyone has simple and fast code for 2d collision detection (triangle is enough) I would gladly see it). However to my main point again. looping each old vertice for each new polygon seems less than efficient. is there a better way?

  • Use ASP.Net server control code generation from .ashx

    I'm trying to take an existing bunch of code that was previously on a full .aspx page, and do the same stuff in a .ashx handler. The code created an HtmlTable object, added rows and cells to those rows, then added that html table the .aspx's controls collection, then added it to a div that was already on the page. I am trying to keep the code in tact but instead of putting the control into a div, actually generate the html and I'll return that in a big chunk of text that can be called via AJAX client-side. HtmlTable errors out when I try to use the InnerHtml property (says it isn't supported), and when I try RenderControl, after making first a TextWriter and next an HtmlTextWriter object, I get the error that Page cannot be null. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

    Let's say I have a custom control that looks like this <cc:MyControl runat="server" ID="myc" LinkControlID="NewParent" /> and, on the same page: <asp:TextBox runat="server" ID="NewParent" /> What I would like to do is, from MyControl, change NewParent's parent so that it would be part of MyControl's Controls collection. When I try to do this, from OnInit, I get: The control collection cannot be modified during DataBind, Init, Load, PreRender or Unload phases. Which makes sense, but is there a way around this? I'm OK if NewParent remains the child of the Page as long as from MyControl I can somehow redirect the rendering to MyControl's control. Can this be done? Thanks. But I cant use it on ASP page. Why?
