  • Windows server Task Scheduler, close after?

    - by Probocop
I have a scheduled task on my server which runs a PHP script every minute. In the 'Run' part of the scheduled task I have the following: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" "http://www.example.co.uk/script.php" So when it runs it opens Internet Explorer and browses to that URL. Is it possible to get it to close Internet Explorer after running the script?

  • Background image not showing up on IE8

    - by Rich Bradshaw
I've read through other questions but to no avail - I really can't work this out. The site is http://bit.ly/cqEO53 (hoping to not have any search links to this page so shortening URL). The gradient on the footer looks great in non IE browsers, but fails to show in IE 7,8 and the dev preview. Any ideas?

  • Make index.cgi redirect to Apache webserver document root

    - by Casey
I'm trying to expose a CGI file as my document root and web server. I do not want to expose the fact that the server is running a CGI script. How can I map a URL http://host/index.cgi/ back to http://host/ in Apache2? I'm guessing it involves mod-rewrite, but I haven't finished grokking all the docs yet. The following configuration is working, but I'm guessing there is a more complete solution: RewriteEngine ON Redirect /index.cgi/ /

  • ServerVariables and POST Data

    - by tyndall
I've got a piece of tracking code which is capturing REMOTE_HOST, SERVER, REQUEST_METHOD, SCRIPT_NAME and QUERY_STRING. It grabs these from ServerVariables and sticks them in a database by user and IP. What is the best way to pick up the exact contents of what was posted back to a URL in ASP.NET? Is there an HTTP_POST? I'd rather not grab something and then have to parse it.

  • Httpsession with Spring 3 MVC

    - by vipul12389
I want to use httpsession in Spring 3 MVC..i have searched all the web and got this solution..at http://forum.springsource.org/showthread.php?98850-Adding-to-stuff-to-the-session-while-using-ResponseBody Basically, My application auto authenticates user by getting winId and authorizes through LDAP..(Its a intranet site) Here is the flow of the application, 1. User enters Aplication url (http://localhost:8082/eIA_Mock_5) it has a welcome page (index.jsp) Index.jsp gets winId through jQuery and hits login.html (through Ajax) and passes windowsId login.html (Controller) authenticates through LDAP and gives back 'Valid' String as a response javascript, upon getting the correct response, redirects/loads welcome page i.e. goes to localhost:8082/eIA_Mock_5/welcome.html Now, i have filter associated with it..which checks for is session valid for each incoming request..Now the problem is even though i set data on to httpsession, yet the filter or any other controller fails to get the data through session as a result it doesnt proceeds further.. here is the code..and could you suggest what is wrong actually ?? Home_Controller.java @Controller public class Home_Controller { public static Log logger = LogFactory.getLog(Home_Controller.class); @RequestMapping(value={"/welcome"}) public ModelAndView loadWelcomePage(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response) { ModelAndView mdv = new ModelAndView(); try{ /*HttpSession session = request.getSession(); UserMasterBean userBean = (UserMasterBean)session.getAttribute("userBean"); String userName=userBean.getWindowsId(); if(userName==null || userName.equalsIgnoreCase("")) { mdv.setViewName("homePage"); System.out.println("Unable to authenticate user "); logger.debug("Unable to authenticate user "); } else { System.out.println("Welcome User "+userName); logger.debug("Welcome User "+userName); */ mdv.setViewName("homePage"); • Should I cache the XRDS file returned in openid?

    - by Joseph
In the initial part of the openid sequence, I request the OP (e.g. Yahoo.com) and get back the XRDS file which tells me the actual URL I need to use for the rest of the openid process. So, can I cache this initial file. E.g. if I have hundreds of users using a Yahoo openid, I would only have to do the initial fetch once every hour?

  • Mobile Google Calendar for Specific Calendars Only

    - by mellort
The mobile view of Google Calendar is really great, but I would like to be able to have it for one calendar ONLY, rather than all of the calendars I use. This would be so that I could create a webapp where a user could visit a URL and see a mobile view of a certain calendar, without the user having to add it to his calendars. What is the best way to do this? Are there any tools which accomplish something similar?

  • Wrapper class for HttpGet / Post in Java?

    - by Tim Green
Hi, Sorry, I'm quite new to Java. I've stumbled across HttpGet and HttpPost which seem to be perfect for my needs, but a little long winded. I have written a rather bad wrapper class, but does anyone know of where to get a better one? Ideally, I'd be able to do String response = fetchContent("http://url/", postdata); where postdata is optional. Thanks!

  • how to use the template for a custom component

    - by wnoveno
hi, I've created a custom coponent for joomla and I've created a menu which uses that component and set a template for that menu. The thing is when I go to the url test.com/index.php?option=com_mycomponent, it still uses the default template instead of the template that I set it to. PS: The component works, only it's using the wrong template.

  • GUI HTTP client

    - by JW
Does anyone know of a good GUI HTTP testing client that runs on OS X? Something that will allow me to enter a request (URL, headers, body, etc.), and view the response, preferably in different formats (hex, text, etc.). I found one called HTTP Client, but it's kind of buggy. Google is failing me.

  • Javascript: Writing a firefox extension with sockets

    - by Johnny Grass
I need to write a firefox extension that creates a server socket (I think that's what it's called) and returns the browser's current url when a client application (running on the same computer) sends it a request. The thing is that I have no Java/Javascript background at all and I'm pressed for time so I am trying to hack something together from code samples. So far I've been mildly successful. I've been working with code from this question which is used in the open source Firefox exension PolyChrome I have the following code: var reader = { onInputStreamReady : function(input) { var input_stream = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/scriptableinputstream;1"] .createInstance(Components.interfaces.nsIScriptableInputStream); input_stream.init(input); input_stream.available(); var request = ''; while (input_stream.available()) { request = request + input_stream.read(512); } var checkString = "foo" if (request.toString() == checkString.toString()) { output_console('URL: ' + content.location.href); } else output_console("nothing"); var thread_manager = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/thread-manager;1"].getService(); input.asyncWait(reader,0,0,thread_manager.mainThread); } } var listener = { onSocketAccepted: function(serverSocket, clientSocket) { output_console("Accepted connection on "+clientSocket.host+":"+clientSocket.port); input = clientSocket.openInputStream(0, 0, 0).QueryInterface(Components.interfaces.nsIAsyncInputStream); output = clientSocket.openOutputStream(Components.interfaces.nsITransport.OPEN_BLOCKING, 0, 0); var thread_manager = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/thread-manager;1"].getService(); input.asyncWait(reader,0,0,thread_manager.mainThread); } } var serverSocket = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/network/server-socket;1"]. createInstance(Components.interfaces.nsIServerSocket); serverSocket.init(9999, true, 5); output_console("Opened socket on " + serverSocket.port); serverSocket.asyncListen(listener); I have a few questions. So far I can telnet into localhost and get a response, but my string comparison in the reader seems to fail even if I enter "foo". I don't get why. What am I missing? The sample code I'm using opens up a console window and prints output when I telnet into localhost. Ideally I would like the output to be returned as a response when the client sends a request to the server socket with a passphrase. How do I go about doing that? Is doing this a good idea? Does it create security vulnerabilities on the computer? How can I block connections to the socket from other computers? What is a good place to read about javascript sockets? My google searches have been pretty fruitless but then maybe I'm not using the right keywords.

  • How do I pass a multi-dimensional array as a GET parameter in PHP?

    - by Onema
I have the following code. $connect = new Connection (); $response = $connect->putFile($fileName, $destination); header("Location: /test.php?response=" . $response); When I invoke header with the response, the file will stop execution, but I will have no error in the console... I am thinking maybe this array needs to be encoded for the url? if that is the case how? Thank you

  • PHP - Pass POST variables with header()?

    - by Dan
Hi, I'm trying to use the header() function to create a redirect. I would like to display an error message. Currently I'm sending the message as a parameter through the URL, however this makes it look quite ugly. Is there a way to pass this value as a post variable instead? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

  • uploaded image doesn't change in the browser, although on the drive I have the new image

    - by Omu
I have a View where I can upload an image and the image is also displayed in there like this: //ResourceStorage is a virtual directory that indicates to the pictures storage location <img src='<%=Url.Content("~/ResourceStorage/Profile/pic.jpg") %>' alt='pic' /> after I upload the picture, on the hard drive I get the new "pic.jpg" but in the browser I still have the old one (I tried clearing the cache, doesn't help)
