  • Call private method in Flex, Actionscript.

    - by core07
I need it in FlexUnit to test private methods. Is there any possibility to do this via reflection by using describeType or maybe flexUnit has some build in facility? I dislike artificial limitation that i cannot test private functions, it greatly reduces flexibility. Yes it is good design for me to test private functions, so please do not advise me to refactor my code. I do not want to break the encapsulation for the sake of unit testing.

  • No GPS updates on Galaxy S3

    - by Valelik
I'm developing a GPS tracker and it works like a charm. But a couple of weeks ago a customer of me (a trackage company) bought Samsung Galaxy S3 for his drivers. And since that we have really strange behaviour of my app. The app receives location updates from GPS receiver, but after some hours of work it doesn't receive any location updates. I have registered the app for onGpsStatusChanged() too and in this time onGpsStatusChanged() was called (I see that GPS receiver have 10-17 satellites!), but the method onLocationChanged() was not called! After the service restart (=re-registering of LocationListener) it works again. It is really strange. It seems that after some hours of work the GPS reciever is not in the mood for calling onLocationChanged() :) Any idea what may be wrong?

  • xhtml-css coding before Drupal Implementing?

    - by artmania
Hi friends, I'm going to start my first Drupal project :) pretty excited. I have many questions in my head :/ but I will find out the answers and learn many about Drupal while working on this project. ok, I have the design completed. now is it better to make xhtml-css coding of all pages, and then implementing these codes to Drupal? or is it better to make xhtml-css coding straight into Drupal theme? Appreciate advices!

  • PHP Doctrine: generation problem?

    - by ropstah
    I'm generating models from my Mysql db. It generates a foreign key collection properly, but not the other way around... Is this supposed to be 'by-design', or am i doing something wrong? pseudo code alert User: UserId pk LocationId fk //User location Location LocationId pk UserId fk //Location owner Generated code: class User() { hasMany('Location') //for locations owned by the user //BUT NOT THIS ONE: //hasOne('Location_1') //for current location of user } class Location() { hasMany('User') //for users which are on that location //AND NOT THIS ONE //hasOne('User_1') //for location owner }

  • Python: avoiding fraction simplification

    - by Anthony Labarre
Hi all, I'm working on a music app' in Python and would like to use the fractions module to handle time signatures amongst other things. My problem is that fractions get simplified, i.e.: >>> from fractions import Fraction >>> x = Fraction(4, 4) >>> x Fraction(1, 1) However, it is important from a musical point of view that 4/4 stays 4/4 even though it equals 1. Is there any built-in way to avoid that behaviour? Thanks!

  • How can I fix the scroll bug when using Windows rich edit controls in wxpython?

    - by ChrisD
When using wx.TextCtl with the wx.TE_RICH2 option in windows, I get this strange bug with the auto-scroll when using the AppendText function. It scrolls so that all the text is above the visible area, which isn't very useful behaviour. I tried just adding a call to ScrollLines(-1) after appending the text - which does scroll it to the correct position - but this can lead to the window flashing when it auto-scrolls. So I'm looking for another way to automatically scroll to the bottom. So far, my solution is to bypass the AppendText functions auto-scroll and implement my own, like this: def append_text(textctrl, text): before_number_of_lines = textctrl.GetNumberOfLines() textctrl.SetInsertionPointEnd() textctrl.WriteText(text) after_number_of_lines = textctrl.GetNumberOfLines() textctrl.ScrollLines(before_number_of_lines - after_number_of_lines + 1) Is there a better way?

  • Free Testing / Code Coverage systems for C++

    - by Billy ONeal
I'd like to start using a Test Driven Development system for a private project since I saw my employer using it and realized it was very useful. My employer's project was in C# but mines are in C and C++. I looked around and saw that several packages exist for both Java and .NET (for example: NCover, NUnit, ...). Unfortunately I found it difficult to find good C++ testing frameworks. Do you know of any unit testing frameworks that satisfy the following requirements? IMPORTANT: Must provide code coverage statistics, as I'd like to have some idea of how well my tests cover my code-base. Must be free Usable with C++ projects EDIT: To be clear, I know of many existing unit test frameworks. The code coverage piece is what's most important.

  • django handling file uploads - target different than media folder

    - by Tom Tom
Hi, I want to enable the user to upload media which will not be saved in the media folder. When I use the following line of code data will be uploaded to media/upload/logo . logo_img = models.FileField(upload_to='upload/logo', blank=True) I'm wondering how I can change this behaviour. I would try to write a custom FileField and a view that serves the data based on the database entries. I do not want to place the data the user uploads to the media folder, since it is no public data. Is this approach correct? Are there solutions out there which do exactly what I want and I would reinvent the wheel with implementing this by myself? Would appreciate any help!

  • CSS autohide scrollbar when not scrolling on Android webpage

    - by b0Gd4N
Is there a way to make the scrollbar auto-hide when a user is not scrolling a webpage on an Android device, but make it visible when it is scrolling? Please note that Firefox browsers does have this behaviour enabled by default, it's just Chrome and stock(Samsung, HTC) browsers that don't. This is what I currently have: -webkit-box-flex: 1; width: 100%; overflow: auto; -webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch; And I can always see the scrollbar on the list (except in ffox)

  • Single page Web App in Java framework or examples?

    - by Adam Gent
Has anyone seen an example or done the following in Java: http://duganchen.ca/single-page-web-app-architecture-done-right/ That is a design a single page web app that will work with Google SEO with out massive violation of DRY using Java technologies? It doesn't seem terrible hard to do this on my own but I was curious (and lazy) to see if someone had already done it with either Spring or JAX-RS.

  • How to prefix a positive number with plus sign in PHP

    - by user318466
I need to design a function to return negative numbers unchanged but should add a + sign at the start of the number if its already no present. Example: Input Output ---------------- +1 +1 1 +1 -1 -1 It will get only numeric input. function formatNum($num) { # something here..perhaps a regex? } This function is going to be called several times in echo/print so the quicker the better.

  • WiX: Extracting Binary-string in Custom Action yields string like "???good data"

    - by leiflundgren
    I just found a weird behaviour when attempting to extract a string from the Binary-table in the MSI. I have a file containing "Hello world", the data I get is "???Hello world". (Literary question mark.) Is this as intended? Will it always be exactly 3 characters in the beginning? Regards Leif Sample code: [CustomAction] public static ActionResult CustomAction2(Session session) { View v = session.Database.OpenView("SELECT `Name`,`Data` FROM `Binary`"); v.Execute(); Record r = v.Fetch(); int datalen = r.GetDataSize("Data"); System.IO.Stream strm = r.GetStream("Data"); byte[] rawData = new byte[datalen]; int res = strm.Read(rawData, 0, datalen); strm.Close(); String s = System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetString(rawData); // s == "???Hello World" return ActionResult.Success; }

  • Debugging JavaScript in Internet Explorer

    - by Erik W
I am working on a relatively complex JavaScript-driven website. It runs great in all browsers except Internet Explorer. I am getting this very curious error: "A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: 93,865,600. Error: Expected ';'" The issue is, I don't have 93 million lines of code, and clicking "Yes" doesn't attach to Visual Studio like it normally does. I can click on 'No' and the website continues to run fine, but if a user doesn't have JavaScript debugging disabled, I don't want them to see this meaningless error. Suggestions/Tools/Plugins to get to the bottom of this? And yeah, I learned my lesson, switch over and check my project in Internet Explorer more often... Thanks,

  • How to auto-restart a python script on fail?

    - by norm
This post describes how to keep a child process alive in a BASH script: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/696839/how-do-i-write-a-bash-script-to-restart-a-process-if-it-dies This worked great for calling another BASH script. However, I tried executing something similar where the child process is a Python script: #!/bin/bash PYTHON=/usr/bin/python2.6 function myprocess { $PYTHON daemon.py start } NOW=$(date +"%b-%d-%y") until myprocess; do echo "$NOW Prog crashed. Restarting..." >> error.txt sleep 1 done Now the behaviour is completely different. It seems the python script is no longer a child of of the bash script but seems to have 'taken over' the BASH scripts PID - so there is no longer a BASH wrapper round the called script...why?

  • How to manage multiple versions of the same record

    - by Darvis Lombardo
I am doing short-term contract work for a company that is trying to implement a check-in/check-out type of workflow for their database records. Here's how it should work... 1) A user creates a new entity within the application. There are about 20 related tables that will be populated in addition to the main entity table. 2) Once the entity is created the user will mark it as the master. 3) Another user can make changes to the master only by "checking out" the entity. Multiple users can checkout the entity at the same time. 4) Once the user has made all the necessary changes to the entity, they put it in a "needs approval" status. 5) After an authorized user reviews the entity, they can promote it to master which will put the original record in a tombstoned status. The way they are currently accomplishing the "check out" is by duplicating the entity records in all the tables. The primary keys include EntityID + EntityDate, so they duplicate the entity records in all related tables with the same EntityID and an updated EntityDate and give it a status of "checked out". When the record is put into the next state (needs approval), the duplication occurs again. Eventually it will be promoted to master at which time the final record is marked as master and the original master is marked as dead. This design seems hideous to me, but I understand why they've done it. When someone looks up an entity from within the application, they need to see all current versions of that entity. This was a very straightforward way for making that happen. But the fact that they are representing the same entity multiple times within the same table(s) doesn't sit well with me, nor does the fact that they are duplicating EVERY piece of data rather than only storing deltas. I would be interested in hearing your reaction to the design, whether positive or negative. I would also be grateful for any resoures you can point me to that might be useful for seeing how someone else has implemented such a mechanism. Thanks! Darvis

  • Change environment in cake php

    - by ryudice
I just started with cakePHP for a small project, I have rails experience and I can see they are really similar however I cant seem to find where to chagne the environment you are working? I'm current working with test because I see all those debugging messages but I want to see how the design looks and I need to get rid of those messages so I need to change environment to production.

  • Are there any small scale persisitant document/object databases?

    - by Joe Doyle
I have a few .Net projects that would benefit from using a document/object database opposed to a relational one. I think that db4o would be a good choice, but the $1200 commercial price tag is bit too much for us. I'd love to use MongoDb but it's design isn't for small scale, single server applications. Are there other options out there that I just haven't run across for small scale applications?

  • Service injection into Controller (Spring MVC)

    - by ThaSaleni
Hi I have a Spring web application, I have built it up to the controller stage and I could inject my Daos, into my Services fine. Now when I want to inject my Service into my controller i get an error for dependency with the Dao and further down the sessionFactory. I don't want to inject these again cause this will ultimately lead me to eventually create a data source but I have my Daos for data access and they already know about sessionFactory. Am I missing something here? here's the sample code snippets My Service: @Service("productService") @Transactional public class ProductServiceImpl implements ProductService { private ProductDao productDao; @Autowired public void setDao(ProductDao productDao) { this.productDao = productDao; } My Controller @Controller @WebServlet(name="controllerServlet", loadOnStartup= urlPatterns=...}) public class ControllerServlet extends HttpServlet { boolean isUserLogedIn =false; @Autowired private ProductService productService; public void setProductService(ProductService productService){ this.productService = productService; } Servlet-context Stack trace javax.servlet.ServletException: Servlet.init() for servlet mvcServlet threw exception org.apache.catalina.authenticator.AuthenticatorBase.invoke(AuthenticatorBase.java:472) org.apache.catalina.valves.ErrorReportValve.invoke(ErrorReportValve.java:98) org.apache.catalina.valves.AccessLogValve.invoke(AccessLogValve.java:927) org.apache.catalina.connector.CoyoteAdapter.service(CoyoteAdapter.java:407) org.apache.coyote.http11.AbstractHttp11Processor.process(AbstractHttp11Processor.java:999) org.apache.coyote.AbstractProtocol$AbstractConnectionHandler.process(AbstractProtocol.java: 565) org.apache.tomcat.util.net.AprEndpoint$SocketProcessor.run(AprEndpoint.java:1812) java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.runTask(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:886) java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$Worker.run(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:908) java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:662) root cause org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'controllerServlet': Injection of autowired dependencies failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Could not autowire field: private com.phumzile.acme.services.ProductService com.phumzile.acme.client.web.controller.ControllerServlet.productService; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No matching bean of type [com.phumzile.acme.services.ProductService] found for dependency: expected at least 1 bean which qualifies as autowire candidate for this dependency.
