  • Any way to detect SMS to E-Mail Gateways?

    - by Paul
I want to create a PHP app that can send text messages. There are different gateways for different email carriers. Is there any library I could use that would be able to lookup or detect which gateway to use just by passing the phone number into it? This way I can take whatever email address I get out and use PHP's email functions to send a message. Thanks in advance!

  • Best way to send floating point numbers from .NET to Java and back

    - by Evgeny
I'm writing a .NET application that will make an RPC call to a Java application (via a message queue). The data sent in both directions will be large arrays of floating-point numbers. What is the best way to serialize them to send them across the wire? I'd like something more compact than text, but architecture-independent as the server may not be an x86 machine. The Java application can be changed as needed.

I'm using the colorbox plug in for several messages on my web page and I have one specific message that I want it to appear higher on the screen (so it won't hide the center of the page). Is there a parameter that controls the colorbox location on load? Thanks.

  • jquery: Flash messages

    - by Svish
With jQuery, how can I display a flash message at the top of the page in an easy way? Is there something built-in, or a plugin, or is it easy enough to do it yourself? What I mean is like after a successful ajax post I would like to just say "hey, it went good" in a non-obtrusive way.

  • How to POST data to an HTTP page from an HTTPS page

    - by buster55
I know this is a long shot, but I figured I'd ask the question anyway. I have an HTTPS page and am dynamically creating a form. I want to POST the form to an HTTP page. Is this possible without the browser popping up a warning? When I do this on IE8, I get the following message: Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely? Essentially, I'm asking about the inverse of question 1554237.

  • How do I call an upside down jQuery.slideDown()?

    - by Mark Rogers
In the web app I'm working on I want to do a little slide up notification, like on twitter or your desktop. jQuery's .slideDown does exactly what I want, but it's upside down. The .slideUp doesn't execute an upside down version of slideDown. Instead it hides stuff, like after your cleaning up an old message you've displayed with slideDown. So what's the simplest code to do an upside down slideDown() in jQuery?
