  • ZIP Numerous Blob Files

    - by Michael
    I have a database table that contains numerous PDF blob files. I am attempting to combine all of the files into a single ZIP file that I can download and then print. Please help! <?php include 'config.php'; include 'connect.php'; $session= $_GET[session]; $query = " SELECT $tbl_uploads.username, $tbl_uploads.description, $tbl_uploads.type, $tbl_uploads.size, $tbl_uploads.content, $tbl_members.session FROM $tbl_uploads LEFT JOIN $tbl_members ON $tbl_uploads.username = $tbl_members.username WHERE $tbl_members.session= '$session'"; $result = mysql_query($query) or die('Error, query failed'); while(list($username, $description, $type, $size, $content) = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { header("Content-length: $size"); header("Content-type: $type"); header("Content-Disposition: inline; filename=$username-$description.pdf"); echo $content; } $files = array('File 1 from database', 'File 2 from database'); $zip = new ZipArchive; $zip->open('file.zip', ZipArchive::CREATE); foreach ($files as $file) { $zip->addFile($file); } $zip->close(); header('Content-Type: application/zip'); header('Content-disposition: attachment; filename=filename.zip'); header('Content-Length: ' . filesize($zipfilename)); readfile($zipname); mysql_close($link); exit; ?>

  • Does git clone work through NTLM proxies?

    - by AndreaG
    I've tried both using export http_proxy=http://[username]:[pwd]@[proxy] and git config --global http.proxy http://[username]:[pwd]@[proxy]. I couldn't make it work. It looks like git uses Basic authentication: Initialized empty Git repository in /home/.../.git/ * Couldn't find host github.com in the .netrc file, using defaults * About to connect() to github.com port 8080 (#0) * Trying 10.... * Connected to github.com (10....) port 8080 (#0) * Proxy auth using Basic with user '...' > GET http://github.com/sunlightlabs/fiftystates.git/info/refs HTTP/1.1 Proxy-Authorization: Basic MD... For example, curl --proxy-ntlm --proxy ...:8080 google.com works, and I'd like to use the same option with git. I need some more definite answers here: has anybody succeed using git through Windows proxies? Which version? Thanks.

  • spring 3 uploadify giving 404 Error

    - by Rajkumar
    I am using Spring 3 and implementing Uploadify. The problem is, the files are updating properly but it is giving HTTP Error 404, on completion of file upload. I tried every possible solution, but none of them works. The files are uploaded. Values are storing in DB properly, only that i am getting HTTP Error 404. Any help is appreciated and Thanks in advance. The JSP Page $(function() { $('#file_upload').uploadify({ 'swf' : 'scripts/uploadify.swf', 'fileObjName' : 'the_file', 'fileTypeExts' : '*.gif; *.jpg; *.jpeg; *.png', 'multi' : true, 'uploader' : '/photo/savePhoto', 'fileSizeLimit' : '10MB', 'uploadLimit' : 50, 'onUploadStart' : function(file) { $('#file_upload').uploadify('settings', 'formData', {'trip_id' :'1', 'trip_name' :'Sample Trip', 'destination_trip' :'Mumbai','user_id' :'1','email' :'[email protected]','city_id' :'12'}); }, 'onQueueComplete' : function(queueData) { console.log('queueData : '+queueData); window.location.href = "trip/details/1"; } }); }); The Controller @RequestMapping(value="photo/{action}", method=RequestMethod.POST) public String postHandler(@PathVariable("action") String action, HttpServletRequest request) { if(action.equals("savePhoto")) { try{ MultipartHttpServletRequest multipartRequest = (MultipartHttpServletRequest)request; MultipartFile file = multipartRequest.getFile("the_file"); String trip_id = request.getParameter("trip_id"); String trip_name = request.getParameter("trip_name"); String destination_trip = request.getParameter("destination_trip"); String user_id = request.getParameter("user_id"); String email = request.getParameter("email"); String city_id = request.getParameter("city_id"); photo.savePhoto(file,trip_id,trip_name,destination_trip,user_id,email,city_id); photo.updatetrip(photo_id,trip_id); }catch(Exception e ){e.printStackTrace();} } return ""; } spring config <bean class="org.springframework.web.multipart.commons.CommonsMultipartResolver" id="multipartResolver"> <property name="maxUploadSize" value="10000000"/> </bean>

  • The worker processcalls OpenSubKey but returns null by accessing Remote Registry service.

    - by Cary
    My web server is deployed in IIS 6. The web server starts the Remote Registry service in the remote machine successfully by creating a process to run some remote operation commands. This first line runs successfully. But the second line returns null. #1 RegistryKey remoteRegKey = RegistryKey.OpenRemoteBaseKey(RegistryHive.LocalMachine, "139.24.185.27"); #2 RegistryKey targetKey = remoteRegKey.OpenSubKey(@"SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\XXXX\XXXX\Config\Modality", true); I tried to find the reason from MSDN. It tells only one case it would return null. The case is when the subkey does not exist. If it has not enough permission, it will throw exception. But the subkey really exists. I change another machine to debug my code with Visual Studio 2008. It can run two lines successfully. If it has enough permission, it should not only can open the LocalMachine, but also can open any of its subkeys. I am quite confusing about this.

  • ASP.NET: disabling authentication for a single aspx page (custom error page)?

    - by Richard Collette
    I am using a custom error page: <customErrors redirectMode="ResponseRedirect" mode="On" defaultRedirect="Error2.aspx"/> I want to disable authentication for the custom error page because the error being raised is related to an authentication module and I don't want to get into an infinite loop and I want to display a clean error page to the user. I have been trying the following configuration to do that. <location path="Error2.aspx"> <system.web> <authentication mode="None"/> <authorization> <allow users="?"/> <allow users="*"/> </authorization> </system.web> </location> I am getting a System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException for the line that sets the authentication mode. It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. I have verified that there are no other web.config files in subdirectories under the application's folder. The applications folder is configured as an application in IIS and the error page is at the application's root. File permissions set for the error page in IIS include anonymous and windows authentication (I have tried just anonymous as well).

  • C# TcpClient, getting back the entire response from a telnet device

    - by Dan Bailiff
    I'm writing a configuration tool for a device that can communicate via telnet. The tool sends a command via TcpClient.GetStream().Write(...), and then checks for the device response via TcpClient.GetStream().ReadByte(). This works fine in unit tests or when I'm stepping through code slowly. If I run the config tool such that it performs multiple commands consecutively, then the behavior of the read is inconsistent. By inconsistent I mean sometimes the data is missing, incomplete or partially garbled. So even though the device performed the operation and responded, my code to check for the response was unreliable. I "fixed" this problem by adding a Thread.Sleep to make sure the read method waits long enough for the device to complete its job and send back the whole response (in this case 1.5 seconds was a safe amount). I feel like this is wrong, blocking everything for a fixed time, and I wonder if there is a better way to get the read method to wait only long enough to get the whole response from the device. private string Read() { if (!tcpClient.Connected) throw (new Exception("Read() failed: Telnet connection not available.")); StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); do { ParseTelnet(ref sb); System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(1500); } while (tcpClient.Available > 0); return sb.ToString(); } private void ParseTelnet(ref StringBuilder sb) { while (tcpClient.Available > 0) { int input = tcpClient.GetStream().ReadByte(); switch (input) { // parse the input // ... do other things in special cases default: sb.Append((char)input); break; } } }

  • CustomProfile is not saving?

    - by Xaisoft
    I created a class that extends ProfileBase: public class CustomerProfile : ProfileBase { public int CustomerID { get; set; } public string CustomerName { get; set; } public static CustomerProfile GetProfile() { return Create(Membership.GetUser().UserName) as CustomerProfile; } public static CustomerProfile GetProfile(string userName) { return Create(userName) as CustomerProfile; } } If I do: CustomerProfile p = CustomerProfile.GetProfile(); p.CustomerID = 1; p.Save(); The next time I try to access the value for the current user, it is not 1, it is 0, so it appears it is not saving it in the database. In my web.config file I have the following snippet: <profile inherits="PortalBLL.CustomerProfile"> <providers> <add name="CustomerProfile" type="System.Web.Profile.SqlProfileProvider" applicationName="/" connectionStringName="LocalSqlServer"/> </providers> </profile> I tried the following and it worked, I am curious why it doesn't save it using the automatic properties. [SettingsAllowAnonymous(false)] public int CustomerID { get { return (int)base.GetPropertyValue("CustomerID");} set { base.SetPropertyValue("CustomerID",value);} }

  • ASP.NET membership db using integrated security problem

    - by rem
    I published ASP.NET MVC web site to a server on a virtual machine (Hyper-V). SQL Server Express installed on the same server. The problem is that ASP.Net Membership system doesn't work in integrated mode. When Web.config file contains records as follows: <connectionStrings> <remove name="LocalSqlServer" /> <add name="MyDBConnectionString" connectionString="data source=vm-1\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=testdb;Integrated Security=SSPI;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings> I get an error when trying to register and login to the site. If I change connection string this way: <connectionStrings> <remove name="LocalSqlServer" /> <add name="MyDBConnectionString" connectionString="data source=vm-1\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=testdb;User ID=XX;Password=XXXXXXX;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/> </connectionStrings> I could register and login without any problem. What could cause the problem with using ASP.NET membership database in integrated security mode?

  • Preserving SCRIPT tags (and more) in CKEditor

    - by Jonathan Sampson
    Update: I'm thinking the solution to this problem is in CKEDITOR.config.protectedSource(), but my regular-expression experience is proving to be too juvenile to handle this issue. How would I go about exempting all tags that contain the 'preserved' class from being touched by CKEditor? Is it possible to create a block of code within the CKEditor that will not be touched by the editor itself, and will be maintained in its intended-state until explicitly changed by the user? I've been attempting to input javascript variables (bound in script tags) and a flash movie following, but CKEditor continues to rewrite my pasted code/markup, and in doing so breaking my code. I'm working with the following setup: <script type="text/javascript"> var editor = CKEDITOR.replace("content", { height : "500px", width : "680px", resize_maxWidth : "680px", resize_minWidth : "680px", toolbar : [ ['Source','-','Save','Preview'], ['Cut','Copy','Paste','PasteText','PasteFromWord','-','Print', 'SpellChecker', 'Scayt'], ['Undo','Redo','-','Find','Replace','-','SelectAll','RemoveFormat'], ['Bold','Italic','Underline','Strike','-','Subscript','Superscript'], ['NumberedList','BulletedList','-','Outdent','Indent','Blockquote'], ['JustifyLeft','JustifyCenter','JustifyRight','JustifyBlock'], ['Link','Unlink','Anchor'], ['Image','Table','HorizontalRule','SpecialChar'] ] }); CKFinder.SetupCKEditor( editor, "<?php print url::base(); ?>assets/ckfinder" ); </script> UPDATE: I suppose the most ideal solution would be to preserve the contents of any tag that contains class="preserve" enabling much more than the limited exclusives.

  • Runtime Exception when using Custom Healthmonitoring event in medium trust

    - by Elementenfresser
    Hi, I'm using custom healthmonitoring events in ASP.NET We recently moved to a new server with default High Trust Permissions. Literature says that healthmonitoring and custom events should work under Medium or higher trust (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb398933.aspx). Problem is it doesn't. In less than high trust I get a SecurityException saying The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy It works in Full trust or when I remove the inheritance of System.Web.Management.WebErrorEvent. Any suggestions anyone? Here is the super simple code behind with a custom event defined: public partial class Default : System.Web.UI.Page { protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { try { CallCustomEvent(); } catch (Exception ex) { Response.Write(ex.Message); throw ex; } } /// <summary> /// this metho is never called due to lacking permissions... /// </summary> private void CallCustomEvent() { try { //do something useful here } catch (Exception) { //code to instantiate the forbidden inheritance... WebBaseEvent.Raise(new CustomEvent()); } } } /// <summary> /// custom error inheriting WebErrorEvent which is not allowed in high trust? can't believe that... /// </summary> public class CustomEvent : WebErrorEvent { public CustomEvent() : base("test", HttpContext.Current.Request, 100001, new ApplicationException("dummy")) { } } and the Web Config excerpt for high trust: <system.web> <trust level="High" originUrl="" />

  • .NET 4.0 Forms Authentication change?

    - by James Koch
    I'm seeing some new behavior in Forms Authentication after upgrading to .NET 4.0. This occurs only on IIS 6, not on 7. Background - In web.config, we configure Forms Authentication, and then use <authorization tags to globally deny anonymous/unauthenticated users access. Then we explicitly allow access to a login.aspx page using a <location tag. Generally, this works fine, as it did when we were on .NET 2.0 (3.5). The issue only occurs when we visit the root path of the site, ie "http://myserver/". Our default document is configured in IIS to be login.aspx. Under .NET 4.0, upon visiting that URL, we're redirected to "http://myserver/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/". If you log in from here, you're logged in and returned back at the log in page (yuck). Just wanted to post this here to see if anyone else is experiencing this. It's not listed on any "breaking changes" documentation I've been able to find. Either I'm missing something, or the UrlAuthorization module has changed and is no longer "smart" about IIS default documents.

  • How do I use HttpWebRequest GET method w/ ContentType="application/json"

    - by Stephen Patten
    Hello, This one is real simple, run this Silverlight4 example with the ContentType property commented out and you'll get back a response from from my service in xml. Now uncomment the property and run it and you'll get an ProtocolViolationException, what should happen is the service returns JSON formatted data. HttpWebRequest wreq = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequestCreator.ClientHttp.Create(new Uri("http://stephenpattenconsulting.com/Services/GetFoodDescriptionsLookup(2100)")); //wreq.ContentType = "application/json"; wreq.BeginGetResponse((cb) => { HttpWebRequest rq = cb.AsyncState as HttpWebRequest; HttpWebResponse resp = rq.EndGetResponse(cb) as HttpWebResponse; // Exception StreamReader rdr = new StreamReader(resp.GetResponseStream()); string result = rdr.ReadToEnd(); rdr.Close(); }, wreq); EDIT: While perusing SO, I noticed similar posts, like this one Why am I getting ProtocolViolationException when trying to use HttpWebRequest? and this one How do I use HttpWebRequest with GET method EDIT: The WCF 4 end point is 'adapted' from this link http://geekswithblogs.net/michelotti/archive/2010/08/21/restful-wcf-services-with-no-svc-file-and-no-config.aspx. I can use Fiddler's request builder to to construct the proper requests and changing the content type does yield the correct results.

  • How do I pass parameters between request-scoped beans

    - by smayers81
    This is a question that has been bothering me for sometime. My application uses ICEFaces for our UI framework and Spring 2.5 for Dependency Injection. In addition, Spring actually maintains all of our backing beans, not the ICEFaces framework, so our faces-config is basically empty. Navigation is not even really handled through navigation-rules. We perform manual redirects to new windows using window.open. All of our beans are defined in our appContext file as being request-scoped. I have Page ABC which is backed by BackingBeanABC. Inside that backing bean, I have a parameter say: private Order order; I then have Page XYZ backed by BackingBeanXYZ. When I redirect from page ABC to page XYZ, I want to transfer the 'order' property from ABC to XYZ. The problem is since everything is request-scoped and I'm performing a redirect, I am losing the value of 'description'. There has got to be an easier way to pass objects between beans in request scope during a redirect. Can anyone assist with this issue?

  • Advice on a DB that can be uploaded to a website by a smart client for collecting survey feedback

    - by absfabs
    Hello, I'm hoping you can help. I'm looking for a zero config multi-user datbase that my winforms application can easily upload to a webserver folder (together with 1 or 2 classic asp pages) and am looking for some suggestions/recommendations. The idea is that the database will be used to collect feedback entered by people filling in the asp pages. The pages will write to the database using javascript. The database will subsequently be downloaded again for processing once the responses are in. In Summary: It will mostly run in MS Windows environments. I have a modest budget for this and do not mind paying for such a database. No runtime licensing costs. Should be xcopy - Once uploaded to a website folder it should be operational. It should not have a dotnet CLR dependency. It should support a resonable level of concurrent access. Average respondent count would be around 20-30 but one never knows. Should be a reasonable size so that uploads/downloads to and from the site will be reasonably fast. Would appreciate your suggestions/comments Many thanks Abz To clarify - this is a desktop commercial application for feedback management in a vertical market. It uses SQL Server as the backing store. The application currently provides feedback management from email and paper feedback. I now want to add web feedback capability. Getting users to to make their SQL servers accessible to a website is not at option at this time as I am want to make getting up and running as painless as possible. I intend to release a web based implementation of the software in the near future but for now am looking at the above as a pragmatic way to provide web based feedback collection.

  • Optimizing MySQL for ALTER TABLE of InnoDB

    - by schuilr
    Sometime soon we will need to make schema changes to our production database. We need to minimize downtime for this effort, however, the ALTER TABLE statements are going to run for quite a while. Our largest tables have 150 million records, largest table file is 50G. All tables are InnoDB, and it was set up as one big data file (instead of a file-per-table). We're running MySQL 5.0.46 on an 8 core machine, 16G memory and a RAID10 config. I have some experience with MySQL tuning, but this usually focusses on reads or writes from multiple clients. There is lots of info to be found on the Internet on this subject, however, there seems to be very little information available on best practices for (temporarily) tuning your MySQL server to speed up ALTER TABLE on InnoDB tables, or for INSERT INTO .. SELECT FROM (we will probably use this instead of ALTER TABLE to have some more opportunities to speed things up a bit). The schema changes we are planning to do is adding a integer column to all tables and make it the primary key, instead of the current primary key. We need to keep the 'old' column as well so overwriting the existing values is not an option. What would be the ideal settings to get this task done as quick as possible?

  • ReportServer 2005 Custom Assembly Error

    - by user752083
    We have a reportserver on sql server 2005, it has previously been working on computer X which we are replacing with a computer Y. Computer X only had one default sql instance as our test environment, machine Y is a new machine with 2 sql instances, Y\TEST and Y\DEV. Both machines run Windows Server 2003 and Both have Sql Server 2005 installed together with Report Server We have not currently done any work on the DEV instance, just on the TEST instance. The reportserver is installed for TEST. SSRS previously worked as intended on X machine, and on Y\TEST its working for reports not using any custom code. However for some of the reports we are loading a custom assembly Localization. This assembly currently exists in following folders on server: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin Also in rssrvpolicy.config, the entry for Report_Expressions_Default_Permissions has been changed from Execution to FullTrust (Although this was not necessary on the machine X). • Global.asax parser errors when deploying MVC 1 application to remote server.

    - by mannish
    So we're having some issues deploying an ASP.NET MVC app to a client site. Basically when we try to test the app from localhost, we get the dreaded Global.asax parser error indicating it could not load the application global. Research indicates there are basically 4 possible reasons for this exception we're seeing: The solution hasn't been built. This clearly isn't the case since we can deploy it here and it runs fine on any machine we deploy to AND we had to build and publish the darn thing to deploy it anyway. The Global.asax namespace inheritance does not match the application global code file. Again we double checked this and since it runs just fine here that can't be the issue. Miscellaneous non-descript IIS/VS.NET mischief. Basically something get's wonky in IIS or VS.NET and the web server won't behave correctly for this application. We've done cleans and rebuilds, we've deleted virtual dir and recreated, and performed all of the IIS munging that we've found elsewhere online. Various combinations of IIS bounces, server reboots, virtual dir/application recreation, etc. Code level permissions issue. We've verified full trust in machine/web config in the framework directory, we've set .NET trust to full in IIS, we've granted Everyone full control on the directories just to hit it with the security hammer, etc. etc. The pertinent detials: Windows Server 2008 x64 IIS 7, 32 bit compatible app pool (app was written on 32 bit OS compiled for any cpu) App pool identity set to NetworkService Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 1.0 XCopy deployment We deployed another read-only app just fine. The significant difference in this app is the use of NHibernate and Log4Net which require full trust. Additionally, the actual project name of the web project differs from the default namespace however the Inherits namespace in Global.asax and the Global.asax.cs files match so this shouldn't be an issue. Anybody have any bright ideas? We're officially down to just the dim ones.

  • Can't get syntax on to work in my gvim.

    - by user198553
    (I'm new to Linux and Vim, and I'm trying to learn Vim but I'm having some issues with it that I can't seen do fix) I'm in a Linux installation (Ubuntu 8.04) that I can't update, using Vim 7.1.138. My vim installation is in /usr/share/vim/vim71/. /home/user/ My .vimrc file is in /home/user/.vimrc, as follows: fun! MySys() return "linux" endfun set runtimepath=~/.vim,$VIMRUTNTIME source ~/.vim/.vimrc And then, in my /home/user/.vim/.vimrc: " =============== GENERAL CONFIG ============== set nocompatible syntax on " =============== ENCODING AND FILE TYPES ===== set encoding=utf8 set ffs=unix,dos,mac " =============== INDENTING =================== set ai " Automatically set the indent of a new line (local to buffer) set si " smartindent (local to buffer) " =============== FONT ======================== " Set font according to system if MySys() == "mac" set gfn=Bitstream\ Vera\ Sans\ Mono:h13 set shell=/bin/bash elseif MySys() == "windows" set gfn=Bitstream\ Vera\ Sans\ Mono:h10 elseif MySys() == "linux" set gfn=Inconsolata\ 14 set shell=/bin/bash endif " =============== COLORS ====================== colorscheme molokai " ============== PLUGINS ====================== " -------------- NERDTree --------------------- :noremap ,n :NERDTreeToggle<CR> " =============== DIRECTORIES ================= set backupdir=~/.backup/vim set directory=~/.swap/vim ...fact is the command syntax on is not working, neither in vim or gvim. And the strange thing is: If I try to set the syntax using the gvim toolbat, it works. Then, in normal mode in gvim, after activating using the toolbar, using the code :syntax off, it works, and just after doing this trying to do :syntax on doesn't work!! What's going on? Am I missing something?

  • .net 4.5 Asp Mvc -> Error 403.14- IIS 7 - Windows Server 2008 R2

    - by Boas Enkler
    When I want to deploy an MVC 4 (.net 4.5) application to my iis i got the 403.14 calling me that the content ist not browseable. This also occurs when i deploy the unchanged mvc 4 template. when using the mvc 4 template with .net 4.0 everything works. I checked the other posts but can't figure out the solution. ist set i ran aspnet_regiss -i which completed without any errors. the only strange thing is that .net 4.5 is installed in the .net 4.0 directory %windows%/microsoft.net/Framework64/4.0.30319 From this folder i also ran aspnet_regiis. to ensure that 4.5 is installed i restarted the .net 4.5 setup and it tells me taht it is installes Also the apppools show me 4.0.30319 as version. There is an other application targeting mvc with 4.5 which runs. but i don't know wether it was created with a 4.0 templated and retargeted to 4.5 Any hints? The app.config is the unchanged default from the mvc 4 template. I just tested to create a subfolder which i convert to an application. placing the site there makes it working. But why not on root folder?

  • are there java based auto-updating tools other than WebStart & Eclipse P2?

    - by DaddyB
    Hi, I am working on a java based application and we are looking to ease our deployment of updates. Up until now, we've always simply sent out new install packs & had the sysadmin's on our customer sites roll out the upgrades - painful for a large number of users. what I'd like to do is something similar to java webstart (or eclipse p2) - when the application starts, it checks for updates in a specified location and then downloads the updates prior to starting. But here's my problem - I want more control over what's done outside of the scope of plugins & jar files. For example: I'd like to be able to upate my JVM (we ship a modified version with additional security features). I need to install DLL's - possibly local to the jar files, sometimes to windows Occasiontally run MSI's to install windows components (e.g. printer drivers). I need to modify config files & the registry. I have found a few applications that support this (such as AppLifeUpdate at http://www.kineticjump.com/) but they tend to be .NET focused and it seems a bit perverse to introduce a .NET dependancy on a java application ;) I know I could write my own here, but if there is already a 3rd party library out there that supports this kind of facility, then it would make my life a lot easier. So, has anyone else had a similar problem & knows of some products I could look at? Thanks, Brian.

  • Configuring mod_rewrite and mod_jk for Apache 2.2 and JBoss 4.2.3

    - by The Pretender
    Hello! My problem is as follows: I have JBoss 4.2.3 application server with AJP 1.3 connector running on one host under Windows (192.168.1.2 for my test environment) and Apache 2.2.14 running on another FreeBSD box (192.168.1.10). Apache acts as a "front gate" for all requests and sends them to JBoss via mod_jk. Everything was working fine until I had to do some SEO optimizations. These optimizations include SEF urls, so i decided to use mod_rewrite for Apache to alter requests before they are sent to JBoss. Basically, I nedd to implement 2 rules: Redirect old rules like "http://hostname/directory/" to "http://hostname/" with permanent redirect Forward urls like "http://hostname/wtf/123/" to "http://hostname/wtf/view.htm?id=123" so that end user doesn't see the "ugly" URL (the actual rewrite). Here is my Apache config for test virtual host: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot "/usr/local/www/dummy" ServerName 192.168.1.10 <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteRule /directory/(.*) /$1 [R=permanent,L] RewriteRule ^/([^/]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ /$1/view.htm?id=$2 </IfModule> JkMount /* jsp-hostname ErrorLog "/var/log/dummy-host.example.com-error_log" CustomLog "/var/log/dummy-host.example.com-access_log" common </VirtualHost> The problem is that second rewrite rule doesn't work. Requests slip through to JBoss unchanged, so I get Tomcat 404 error. But if I add redirect flag to the second rule like RewriteRule ^/([^/]+)/([0-9]+)/?$ /$1/view.htm?id=$2 [R,L] it works like a charm. But redirect is not what I need here :) . I suspect that the problem is that requests are forwarded to the another host (192.168.1.2), but I really don't have any idea on how to make it work. Any help would be appreciated :)
