  I am running Apache 2.4.6 on my CentOS 6.4 server. Having some trouble with rewrite...so was trying to check loaded modules apache2ctl -M But that returns apache2ctl command not found So I tried which apache2ctl and I get no apache2ctl in (/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin) I am sure apache is installed and running. How do I find apache2ctl/ check loaded modules now?

If i create the repository on the root of the svn folder i can see the repository (http://domain.com/code/t1) when i try the other urls i get the error Could not open the requested SVN filesystem My question is, It is possible to do a search in all subfolders looking for svn repositories?

• WCSF vs MEF, What's Best For Me?

  Hey fellows, I'm working on a large web application that includes many modules (CRM, Inventory, Administration, etc.) What I want to accomplish is to be able develop each of these modules independently (the UI, Core Logic, DataAccess Logic, and all) and then integrate them all together into a core module (this integration should only be a change in the configuration file). For example, if I have a core module named Host, I should be able to add the CRM module to the host module by simply adding this line to the host's configuration file: <module name="CRM" /> I did some reading on the WCSF, and found that it can help integrate some modules together, but it really doesn't offer so much help in terms of integrating those UI elements. Some friends suggested MEF for the job, but I haven't looked at that yet. What do you guys think? Is it possible to achieve this level of modularity, and how much work do I have to put into it to get it working?

After reading i noticed i need to add a flag -std=c99, not sure where it suppose to be added. How do I change the Makefile so it will compile through C99 ? Thanks!

• Do different versions of Perl require different CPAN module installations?

  We have a server farm that we are slowly migrating to a new version of Perl (5.12.1). We are currently running 5.8.5. The OS will be upgraded from RedHat 4 to RedHat 5 as well, but RedHat 5 is still back on Perl 5.8.8. Thus for a while in our source tree we'll be supporting two versions of Perl. I have been told to install the new version of Perl into our source tree, and also all of the CPAN modules we currently use. I was actualy told to 'compile' the modules with the correct version of Perl. I'm confused by this. Do some modules actually configure themselves differently for different versions of Perl? Given this, I assume I should configure a CPAN directory for each version of Perl in our tree? Any information or 'gotchas' about this scenario?

• Downloading Eclipse's Source Code

  I'm doing a study on large Java projects and would like to view the source code for Eclipse. I have gone to this url (http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/CVS_Howto) and figured that the most useful cvs repository for me to look at would be this one: :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/eclipse (The Eclipse platform project) However, when looking at this repository, it has so many modules! Which modules should I be trying to check out? I don't necessarily want to build the IDE from source, however, I just want to get the core Eclipse code base to perform some analysis. Would I just check out any modules starting with "org.eclipse..."? Should I be checking out any of the others? Or is there an easier way to get the source? I read somewhere that you can get the source from the binary version of Eclipse but I am unsure where to find the source.

  I want to create a component that will allow me to install other components, modules, and plugins that i personally use all the time. I will need to be able to change these modules, components, and plugins at anytime but updating the components and etc.. that i use and be able to add more plugins and etc as well. I would like this Component because it takes too much time to install them all individually and on multiple sites as a web designer. I also would need to have some instruction on how to add subtract plugins, modules, components, and etc. I am ok with not a total integration i would like to be able to just host the install file on my server with a link to my server where the file is located. Meaning... can I have a main set of styles for the application, and separate styles for each module.. with each of them rendering their own styles without disturbing the other at runtime? My specific case: The main application is developed by me... and the modules are developed by different people who want to contribute to the main application. I've got this client who's a dietician and wants a site with some functionality I'm not sure how to implement: custom forms that calculate some stuff (like ideal body weight, based on a bazillion factors), the user is supposed to be able to pay for the consultation with a credit card - which lets him access more consultation forms, bi-weekly results from how a user's diet is going (weight reduction and so on) should be displayed using a series of charts, preferably in the user's account page. I use Drupal exclusively, so the question is whether such functionality can be implemented using existing modules? Which modules would you recommend? Can this be achieved without writing custom modules (I've never written a Drupal module)? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

• How are dll's loaded by the CLR?

  My assumption was always that the CLR loaded all of the dlls it needed on startup of the app domain. However, I've written an example that makes me question this assumption. I start up my application and check to see how many modules are loaded. Process[] ObjModulesList; ProcessModuleCollection ObjModulesOrig; //Get all modules inside the process ObjModulesList = Process.GetProcessesByName("MyProcessName"); // Populate the module collection. ObjModulesOrig = ObjModulesList[0].Modules; Console.WriteLine(ObjModulesOrig.Count.ToString()); I then repeate the exact same code and my count is different. The additional dll is C:\WINNT\system32\version.dll. I'm really confused as to why the counts would be different. Could someone please elaborate on what the clr is doing and how it's loading these thing, and by what logic it's doing so?

• drupal: so many js and css files ?

  hi, I've realized I'm loading a lot of resources (24 css and 17 js files) using Drupal. I've several modules installed and they all come with a css and js file. For my website I'm only using 1 additional js plugin (all the other 16 come with Drupal modules). I've not installed useless modules. They are all necessary, and they require js such as swfobject, ajax_views, jquery.media, spamspan, lightbox (modal, video and default js files), etc Same thing with css files: ckeditor, filefield, lightbox, tagadelic, uploadfield, fieldgroup, vews, taxonomy_super_select, html-element, tabs, messages... etc For my website, I only use my theme css zen.css of course. So.. is this normal ? Or I should remove all this stuff? Are drupal websites normally heavy ? thanks

I am wondering how big application/ platform break down there application in to multiple module and how they able to manage modules dependencies. • How do I make log4j create log files on demand only?

  We have a modular application where modules have their own log4j logs (i.e. communication log and error log). The appenders and categories for these are all configured in the core log4j XML, but not all modules are always installed. The DailyRollingFileAppender creates its file regardless of use and that exposes the full set of modules although not present and as some of them are customer specific we'd like to hide logs not in use. Is there a way to make DailyRollingFileAppender create its file on first use instead of automatically at startup?

  I am trying to do some research into potentially setting up an existing Drupal site with user accounts/login page to also be an OAuth service provider, basically authenticating users to make calls with a web service. I am looking for a Drupal module which will give this functionality. Most of what I run into are OAuth consumer modules, which is not what I want in this case. I've found a few modules which I think might do this for me, but the module descriptions are generally pretty vague and don't have much of a user base which doesn't inspire much confidence.   Hi I am creating sort of a "Navigation panel" (which is actually an ItemControl) for SL and using Regions to allow each module to add his link to the panel. Problem is that modules loading is inconsistent and thus order of links in the panel can change according to modules loading order. Restricting the modules order is out of the question. Other feasible option is the order the region's Views Collection that is binded to the ItemControl, the problem is that ViewCollection is very limited, so ordering it is pretty hard. • Multiple svn projects into one git repository?

  Hi, I have started to use git-svn for some of my work to be able to do local commits. This works great for projects that use standard svn layout. Recently I started working on a Java project that is split into multiple connected modules (20-25), and each module have its own root folder in the same svn repo with its own trunk/branches/tags. svnrepo/ module-1 trunk branches tags module-N trunk branches tags I have cloned each and every module with git svn clone -s /path/to/svnrepo/module[1-N]. The "problem" is that when I want to do git svn rebase on all modules i have to do it N times. I have tried to do git svn clone /path/to/svnrepo/ do avoid doing the rebase operation N times, but that leaves me with a directory layout that is the same as in the svn repo. Is there a way that I can track all the trunks of all modules in one git repo? So that I get a directory layout like this within my git repository: module-1 module-2 module-N

• virt-install error: Host does not support any virtualization options

  Completed CentOS 5.4 perfect install from howtoforge.com (ISPConfig 3). I have ISPConfig 3 deployed with a handful of sites. I installed xen: yum install xen kernel-xen i installed the recommended (linuxtopia.org) virtualization packages and started libvirtd yum install virt-manager libvirt libvirt-python libvirt-python python-virtinst i have damn small linux .iso in /root virt-install --name damnsmall --ram 16 --file=/var/lib/xen/images/damnsmall.img --file-size=1 --vnc --cdrom=/root/current.iso yields the error: ERROR Host does not support any virtualization options i have also tried this from GNOME (virt-manager) and i cant even add a connection. i read somewhere i need to reboot with the xen kernel--i dont think i want to do that--though, not really sure why. i need to keep ISPConfig untouched.   I have 30 different RHEL 5.5 machines that will not update some 33 packages via Yum. Does anyone know why these packages will not install and how to correct this? Yum clean all does not fix the issue, however skip broken will allow other updates to install but I am really after a way to clear this up for good.
