  I don't understand whats happening I get a warning that says "SecondViewController" may not respond to '-updatePlayerQueueWithMedia:' Messages without a matching signature will be assumed to return 'id' and accept '...' as arguments. this is my method - (void)mediaPicker: (MPMediaPickerController *) mediaPicker didPickMediaItems: (MPMediaItemCollection *) mediaItemCollection { [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated: YES]; [self updatePlayerQueueWithMediaCollection: mediaItemCollection]; } And the actual method which ive written in the same page is - (void) updatePlayerQueueWithMediaCollection: (MPMediaItemCollection *) mediaItemCollection { //and shit happens here. } I don't understand whats happening can someone please help me get rid of this warning.

  I've got two models class SurveyResponse has_many :answers, :class_name => SurveyResponseAnswer.name accepts_nested_attributes_for :answers end class SurveyResponseAnswer belongs_to :survey_response validates_presence_of :answer_text end In my nested form if validation fails I get this error displayed on the screen: "answers answer text can't be blank" I've customized my attribute names somewhat successfully using rails I18n. It doesn't behave exactly how I would expect though. The yml file below doesn't affect how the attribute name is printed in error_messages_for en: activerecord: models: survey_response: answers: "Response" But if from script/console I try SurveyResponse.human_attribute_name("answers") I get the expected result of "Response". What I'd like to do is have the validation error message say: "Response answer text can't be blank". Any ideas what I need to fix?

  Essentially I would like to have a messages.properties files external to the jar files in my application. So that users can add languages and edit the files easily if my translations are wrong at the moment i use ResourceBundle.getBundle("package.MessageBundle"); But i would like to do something like this ResourceBundle.getBundle("lang/MessageBundle"); Where lang is a folder under my application installation directory. is this a good idea (if not, why not)? can someone point me in the right direction, or some sample code that does this thanks Alex

  On my HTC Desire Z with Android 2.3.3 I get from time to time the problem, that the status information ist wrong. That means status information says, that there is an unread, unsent or failed SMS, but this SMS is already deleted. Does anybody know, where I can reset this information? It must be stored anywhere in ContentResolver of content://mms-sms/conversations or content://sms/conversations on the thread-level, but I have no idea. Example: After I deleted a number of failed SMS in the non delivered SMS overview, the status of non delivered SMS was not reset in the Messages conversation overview though in each conversation there wasn't any undelivered SMS left.

  Hi, I am developing an application which is communicating with the server. Tha application can perform log-in and get different parameters from server. The application consists of a RESTful client (custom class for making requests), Communication Service (the service which runs in the background) and the main activity. For now I created multiple broadcast messages and multiple broadcast receivers in the main activity so when the application performs login operation a receiver (loginBroadcastReceiver) in the main activity receives a message and when another parameter is received from the server different message is broadcasted and another receiver handles the message. This way however the application performance is poor but I am not sure whether it is due to multiple broadcast receivers. Does anyone know what is the best way to exchange data between service and main activity - is it better to create a single broadcast receiver and retrieve all parameters from message or is it better to initialize multiple broadcast receivers for multiple parameters? I would appreciate if you could provide any useful resource about the topic because I'm writing the thesis and it would be good if the solution could be explained.

  I've written a WCF IDispatchMessageInspector, so I can log incomming and outgoing messages. But I'm not sure how to get a nicely-formatted XML string to log.   Hi, Just starting with ASP.Net MVC and have hit a bit of a snag regarding validation messages. I've a custom validation attribute assigned to my class validate several properties on my model. When this validation fails, we'd like the error message to contain XHTML mark-up, including a link to help page, (this was done in the original WebForms project as a ASP:Panel). At the moment the XHTML tags such as "< a ", in the ErrorMessage are being rendered to the screen. Is there any way to get the ValidationSummary to render the XHTML markup correctly?   How do you log messages to a log file in a specific path from a bash script? A naive implementation would be commands like: echo My message >>/my/custom/path/to/my_script.log But this probably has many disadvantages (no log rotation for example). I could use the 'logger' command, but it does not support logs in custom paths as far as I know and is not easy to configure if you have lots of bash scripts that could use a custom log file. In a scripting language like Ruby all this is quite easy: https://github.com/rudionrails/yell/wiki/101-the-datefile-adapter I could also make my own logger command based on this ruby library and call it from my bash scripts, but I guess there is already a well known solution that provides similar behavior for shell scripts?

  I've set up IIS6 with FastCGI to use php-cgi.exe. I have some php websites by external parties, that I'm trying to run in a test environment. One of the websites just plain gives me a FastCGI Error Page. Is there some way to enable logging somewhere so that I can get a bit more information on this problem? I have looked in - Eventlog - IIS Website log (c:\windows\system32\Logfiles) - PHP log But no results, except the IIS Website log mentions a return of a 500 page. But this is when I'm in localhost. When I publish the site, I notice that this ajax is throwing an error 302, but this only occus in HTTPS pages and in FF and Chrome... on IE this ajax request works fine. What is this error 302? Why it only occurs on https pages and only in FF or chrome? thank you all!!

  In my project I have it set up so that all the tables in the DB has the property "id" and then I have the entity objects inherit from the EntityBase class using a repository pattern.   Hi, We've a Spring JMS message listener container for receiving messages asynchronously. Using DefaultMessageListenerContainer and in sessionTransacted mode. I understand being in sessionTransacted mode means in case of an exception the message will be put back into the queue. But how can I make sure the message won't be deleted from the queue even if the receiver (which is picked the message) crashes or just the machine running it looses power? At first I thought CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE acknowledge mode should save me, but apparently it's not the case, Spring calls .acknowledge() no matter what. So here's my question, how can I guarantee the delivery? Using a custom MessageListenerContainer? Using a transaction manager?

• C socket programming: recv / select not seeing sent messages

  Hey guys, I had some questions, about socket programming for client-server using TCP/IP. I am using select() to recv(), which works fine when client send() messages to server, but not the other way around. The send() returns positive (and reasonable) numbers of bytes sent by server but I know that the nubmer of bytes "sent" really means "sent out of the socket", not "sent and was received by the client." The select() function seems to work fine. So given that, my guess is that it's the send() function that is giving me the problem. Probably the address of client in send() is not correct. But when I compared address.sin_addr.s_addrmember (it's an unsigned long int) of struct sockaddr_in from recv() and send() of server, they are identical. So I am kind of lost as to what could be wrong?
