  There should be a standard for saving viewing bunches of webpages as a website. For instance, say I have a whole bunch of pages, such as I get from the WordPress plugin "Really Static" which saves an entire site, and I have all the links start with a slash. Now, I can't really use those links if I am reading it from the file system. If there would be a standard where we could zip up files, give them a unique extension (like "hzip" for html zip), and open the file with any browser, which would display it as though the root of that file were the root of the pages. "http://example.com" The links would all work right. This would facilitate sharing and copying groups of webpages.

• Java: using endpoint to publish webservice to tomcat server

  hi all, i am creating a simple SOAP web service. i am to ensure that it runs on a tomcat web service. im trying to implement this with JAX-WS (see code) my question is: does the Endpoint.publish use the tomcat server to host this or is it a mini glassfish kind of server? should i be extending UnicastRemoveObject or something similiar instead? ideally it would be able to be packaged into a .WAR and dropped in the directory and just work. It doesn't seem to work with my installed tomcat server as is because it says the port is already in use.   First I will explain the context of the problem, because you might be able to point me in a better direction. I need to implement a undo-redo like system on an object. The object has a series of dependency properties. Some are double, int, string but some are also of DependencyObject type. I need to save the value of the property before it is changed, and for this I added the CoerceValueCallback. public static readonly DependencyProperty MyBackgroundProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("MyBackground", typeof(MyCustomizableBackground), typeof(MyComponent), new UIPropertyMetadata(default(MyCustomizableBackground), null, new CoerceValueCallback(OnPropertyChanged))); In OnPropertyChanged I save the value before it's changed. MyCustomizableBackground is the DependencyObject that has also some dependency properties. The problem is that in this case, where I have a custom object as a property, the OnPropertyChanged method isn't triggered, but when I have a common type, it is triggered.

  Using Java on a Windows 7 PC (not sure if that matters) and calling Math.cos() on values that should return 0 (like pi/2) instead returns small values, but small values that, unless I'm misunderstanding, are much greater than 1 ulp off from zero. Math.cos(Math.PI/2) = 6.123233995736766E-17 Math.ulp(Math.cos(Math.PI/2)) = 1.232595164407831E-32 Is this in fact within 1 ulp and I'm simply confused? • Why does gcc add symbols to non-debug build?

  When I do a release build with gcc (i.e. I do not specify -g), I still seem to end up with symbols in the binary, and have to use strip to remove them. In fact, I can still breakpoint functions and get backtraces in gdb (albeit without line numbers). • Get highest frequency terms from Lucene index

  Hello! i need to extract terms with highest frequencies from several lucene indexes, to use them for some semantic analysis. So, I want to get maybe top 30 most occuring terms(still did not decide on threshold, i will analyze results) and their per-index counts. I am aware that I might lose some precision because of potentionally dropped duplicates, but for now, lets say i am ok with that. So for the proposed solutions, (needless to say maybe) speed is not important, since I would do static analysis, I would put accent on simplicity of implementation because im not so skilled with Lucene (not the programming guru too :/ ) and cant wrap my mind around many concepts of it.. I can not find any code samples from something similar, so all concrete advices (code, pseudocode, links to code samples...) I will apretiate very much!!! Thank you!

• Thread Proc for an instancable class?

  Basically I have a class and it is instincable (not static). Basically I want the class to be able to generate its own threads and manage its own stuff. I don't want to make a global callback for each instance I make, this doesnt seem clean and proper to me. What is the proper way of doing what I want. If I try to pass the threadproc to CreateThread and it is the proc from a class instance the compiler says I cannot do this. What is the best way of achieving what I want? Thanks

For example, my app is at http://ajakimov.appspot.com/ and on it there is only some random text like 'form bell road smear sky orange fan glass key'. When i google for 'form bell road smear' for example or the title of the site for that matter , i get no results - cant find the site. Does anyone know how to make a appengine site google-able?   I'm having a problem with Emacs's indentation of Java enums. While it indents the first member OK, it wants to give all of the rest of the static enum members an additional level of indentation. It looks like this: class MyClass { public enum MyEnum { ONE(1), //good TWO(2), // not good! THREE(3), FOUR(4); private final int value; } } When I run C-c C-s on the line that opens the enum, it gives me ((inclass 1) (topmost-intro 1)), which doesn't seem quite right -- it seems like it should be giving brace-list-open. When I run it on the first enum member, it gives me ((defun-block-intro 21)), which is definitely not right. Every subsequent member gives (statement-cont 50). I'm in java-mode and I'm using the java style of indentation. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

How can I fix this?

• CSS - Could use some pointers on correct positioning

  Hi, I'm in need for some pointers on positioning. I've got this square which should be centered on the page. And with a logo and a logo font image kinda wrapped around the square. Now, I want this as dynamic as possible, because I use both the square and images elsewhere as well. So I can't really use stiff static positioning. This is the site: www.matkalenderen.no How should I do this? I want to logo to appear on the left side of the square. And the font to appear above the square. And the square itself should be centered. You probably get the picture :) Right now I've got a wrapper around everything, which is also centered.

• Perl Regex Multiple Items in Single String

  I'm trying to parse a single string and get multiple chunks of data out from the same string with the same regex conditions. I'm parsing a single HTML doc that is static (For an undisclosed reason, I can't use an HTML parser to do the job.) I have an expression that looks like $string =~ /\<img\ssrc\="(.*)"/; and I want to get the value of $1. However, in the one string, there are many img tags like this, so I need something like an array returned (@1?) is this possible?
