What does this do exactly?
var counts = new Dictionary<string, int>();
for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++)
counts[string.Format("STA Thread Queue Worker Thread No. {0}", i + 1)] = 0;
Thanks
I need to get the symbols defined in .so file. I use latest Mac OS and I do this:
/usr/bin/nm -gC libs/armeabi/libhello.so
error: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/nm: invalid argument -C
Usage: /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/nm [-agnopruUmxjlfAP[s segname sectname] [-] [-t format] [[-arch ] ...] [file ...]
As I understand this is another nm utility? It is connected with XCode? How to fix this issue?
I am trying to use diffstrings.py from Three20 on my iPhone project, and I can't find the proper format for the path arguments (as in "Usage: diffstrings.py [options] path1 path2 ...").
For example, when I run the script in my Xcode project directory like this
~/py/diffstrings.py -b
it analyzes just the main.m and finds 0 strings to localize,
then it diffs against existing fr.lproj and others, and finds that thes contain "obsolete strings".
Can anyone post examples of successful comand line invocations of diffstrings.py, for options -b, -d and -m?
I'd like to have a DropDownList that has a CheckBox next to each item that would allow multiple to be selected. I did a little poking around but haven't found anything that will do this, does anyone know if this can be easily achieved?
I know it can be done with a listBox, but would prefer the dropdown format to save space.

How can i achieve this through regex. this 23:59:01 is a timespan and it is always in this format hh:mm:ss
Hello everyone,
I am using VSTS 2008 + C# + .Net 3.5 on Windows 7. I want to use Expression Encoder 3 to generate thumbnail image for video (wmv format) every 30 seconds -- e.g. for a 5 minutes video, there will be 10 thumbnails which reflects video at the time of 0 second, 30 second, 1 minute, 1 minute and 30 seconds, etc.
Any reference code?
thanks in advance,
George
Hi folks,
I have a MySQL table that stores (amongst other things) a persons date of birth.
Is there any way to sort the table so the next due birthday is at the top?
I have the date stored in standard yyyy-mm-dd DATE format and seperate year, month and day fields so I can sort it by the first birthday of the year (ORDER BY month, day) but I can't seem to get any further.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like the user to specify a RSS feed address and serialize the information from it. I am not interested in the XML format, but populate a strongly typed object from the XML. My question is, is there a standard that all RSS feeds support (Do all of them have date, title etc)? If so, is there a XSD that describes this. If not, how do I handle serializing a RSS feed to an object in ASP.NET?
I'm generating code dynamically, currently using String.Format and embedding placeholders - but reformatting the C# code for use as a template is a pain, and I think using a T4 template would be better.
However, the code generation will be happening on a running system, so I need to know that I can safely and legally redistribute the Microsoft T4 Engine with my product.
Anyone else done this? Or know the (legal) answer?
Let's say I have something like 30-10-2025 12:53, how could I convert that to an NSDate? I guess there's some class that takes this plus an format string that tells it how the date looks as a string, so it can parse it... where must I look?
I remember seeing a while ago that there is some method in maybe the Reflection namespace that would recursively run ToString() on all of an object's properties and format it nicely for display.
Yes, I know everything I could want will be accessible through the debugger, but I'm wondering if anyone knows that command?
HI
when an object (having sub objects) is serialized using a BinaryFormatter, what exactly happens? how the object data is stored? how the strings used to map the objects store? I want to know the serialized stream format.
please help me ..
I'd like to map my Users to root - so '/:id'. I do the following now
map.connect ':id', :controller = 'users', :action = 'show'
... but I'd also like the links that are generated by Rails to have this format. Can I do a map.resources ... :as = :root or something similar?
i have created http seesion, using the same http session, i would like to do some get and set operations.
Note : What ever the operation, data is present in XML Format, giving xml file as input. And need to fetch the status.
Is it possible using TCL curl.
I'm trying to learn SQL to store the data rather than reading the file and populating the whole data structure in memory. would it be like reading the data from disk instead of direct memory?
Is there any good tool or tool-chain that allows UML images in the .svg format to be created from a textual source file?
The reason for this question is that I want to automate the generation of these images to avoid having to manually create and update this set of images.
I've got a situation where an ini file is in memory (in a string variable) and I'd like to read values out of it without writing the ini file data to disk.
Is there any way to do that in VB6? Maybe with a Win API call?
Hi guys:
I am trying to stop the windows XP timer, and actually I did it. The problem is that I want to do it using another way, not the one used before: running a visual basic script.
I need to stop it using a knoppix, or a floppy disk... maybe any other way that I don't know it.
Please, how to stop the timer without using a simple script?
I am sorry about my English.
I'm making an AJAX call in my symfony project, so it has an sf_format of 'js'. In the actionSuccess.js.php view, I call get_partial to update the content on the page. By default it looks for the partial in 'js' format since the sf_format is still set as 'js'. Is it possible to override the sf_format so that it uses the regular 'html' partial that I already have (so that I don't have to have two identical partials)?
Can anyone help me? I want to create a search button that will search a word in more than one text file stored on the disk and want to dispaly the corresponding text file in a jsp page.
