  • Jscrollpane causese text to disappear on internet explorer

    - by Crippletoe
    Hello all, in my current site, i am using the new Jscrollpane in order to generate a scrollbar for a menu (not my descision but the designer's descision so i dont wanna get into how 90's that all looks like..). my menu is based on a <UL> the <li> elements inside it have the attribute "text-align: right;". my problem that on IE alone the menu text doesnt show when i apply the ScrollPane to the menu. when i delete the ScrollPane function from my code- the menu re-appears. i checked the page with "microsoft Expression" DOM inspector in order to examine how IE sees my code and i can see the <li> elements there, only the text inside them is missing. when i disable the "text-align: right;" for the <li> in my CSS, the text shows again. i suspect this has something to do with the jScrollPane's containing which is relatively aligned but i cannot be sure.. can anyone suggest some fix for this problem? a link to a page where you can see the problem is here: http://kaplanoland.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=12 the problematic menu is on the right side of the page. on every browser but IE you can see the text. only on IE not. my CSS code for that menu (not including the jScrollPane CSS) is here: div#menu2{ position: absolute; top: 123px; right: 36px; width: 330px; height: 150px; } div#menu2_scroll{ /*the actual scroller*/ height: 150px; } div#menu2 div#menu2_contain{ } div#menu2 li{ text-align: right; } div#menu2 li span{ line-height: 18px; } div#menu2 a:link, div#menu2 a:visited{ color: #808285 ; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif ; font-size: 12px ; } div#menu2 a:hover, div#menu2 li#current a{ color: #000000 ; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif ; font-size: 12px ; } div#menu2 span.separator{ display: block; padding-top: 12px; padding-bottom: 40px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; color: #000000; } div#menu2 span.separator span { padding-top: 12px; border-top-width: 1px; border-top-style: solid; border-top-color: #808285; } thank you all so much.

  • Play! Framework - Can my view template be localised when rendering it as an AsyncResult?

    - by avik
    I've recently started using the Play! framework (v2.0.4) for writing a Java web application. In the majority of my controllers I'm following the paradigm of suspending the HTTP request until the promise of a web service response has been fulfilled. Once the promise has been fulfilled, I return an AsyncResult. This is what most of my actions look like (with a bunch of code omitted): public static Result myActionMethod() { Promise<MyWSResponse> wsResponse; // Perform a web service call that will return the promise of a MyWSResponse... return async(wsResponse.map(new Function<MyWSResponse, Result>() { @Override public Result apply(MyWSResponse response) { // Validate response... return ok(myScalaViewTemplate.render(response.data())); } })); } I'm now trying to internationalise my app, but hit the following error when I try to render a template from an async method: [error] play - Waiting for a promise, but got an error: There is no HTTP Context available from here. java.lang.RuntimeException: There is no HTTP Context available from here. at play.mvc.Http$Context.current(Http.java:27) ~[play_2.9.1.jar:2.0.4] at play.mvc.Http$Context$Implicit.lang(Http.java:124) ~[play_2.9.1.jar:2.0.4] at play.i18n.Messages.get(Messages.java:38) ~[play_2.9.1.jar:2.0.4] at views.html.myScalaViewTemplate$.apply(myScalaViewTemplate.template.scala:40) ~[classes/:na] at views.html.myScalaViewTemplate$.render(myScalaViewTemplate.template.scala:87) ~[classes/:na] at views.html.myScalaViewTemplate.render(myScalaViewTemplate.template.scala) ~[classes/:na] In short, where I've got a message bundle lookup in my view template, some Play! code is attempting to access the original HTTP request and retrieve the accept-languages header, in order to know which message bundle to use. But it seems that the HTTP request is inaccessible from the async method. I can see a couple of (unsatisfactory) ways to work around this: Go back to the 'one thread per request' paradigm and have threads block waiting for responses. Figure out which language to use at Controller level, and feed that choice into my template. I also suspect this might not be an issue on trunk. I know that there is a similar issue in 2.0.4 with regards to not being able to access or modify the Session object which has recently been fixed. However I'm stuck on 2.0.4 for the time being, so is there a better way that I can resolve this problem?

  • How can I change the TreeView Icon into a folder icon?

    - by KDP
    I'm trying to change the icon of my TreeView in a folder icon. Also when it collapses it needs to have an opened folder icon. My treeview has databound items in it and the code is: <TreeView x:Name="TreeViewCategories" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Height="610" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="29,111,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="315" BorderThickness="0" Background="Transparent" > <TreeView.ItemTemplate> <HierarchicalDataTemplate ItemsSource="{Binding Items}"> <TextBlock FontSize="20" Text="{Binding Name}" PreviewMouseDown="TextBlock_PreviewMouseDown"/> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> </TreeView.ItemTemplate> </TreeView> Also this is how I fill the treeview with items from XML (It's a snipped out of alot of code: private void LoadHospitalXML() { try { FileStream fs = new FileStream("ConfigOrgHospital.xml", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); var xml = XmlReader.Create(fs); rootElement = ConvertHospitalData(xml); this.TreeViewCategories.ItemsSource = null; List<HospitalWrapper> li = new List<HospitalWrapper>(); var hosp = rootElement.Items.FirstOrDefault(); if (hosp != null) { foreach (var i in hosp.Hospital) { li.AddIfNotNull(CreateHospList(i)); } } this.TreeViewCategories.ItemsSource = li; } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.Message); } } private HospitalWrapper CreateHospList(object obj) { var newItem = new HospitalWrapper(); newItem.Context = obj; //Hospital Names// if (obj is HospitalDataHospitalsHospital) { var hosp = (HospitalDataHospitalsHospital)obj; //newItem.Title = "Hospitals"; newItem.Name = hosp.DefaultName; var tmp = new HospitalWrapper(); tmp.Name = "Sites"; tmp.IsTitle = true; if (hosp.Sites != null) foreach (var i in hosp.Sites) { tmp.Items.AddIfNotNull(CreateHospList(i)); } newItem.Items.Add(tmp); tmp = new HospitalWrapper(); tmp.Name = "Specialties"; tmp.IsTitle = true; if (hosp.Deps != null) foreach (var j in hosp.Deps) { tmp.Items.AddIfNotNull(CreateHospList(j)); } newItem.Items.Add(tmp); } }

  • StreamWriter appends random data

    - by void
    Hi I'm seeing odd behaviour using the StreamWriter class writing extra data to a file using this code: public void WriteToCSV(string filename) { StreamWriter streamWriter = null; try { streamWriter = new StreamWriter(filename); Log.Info("Writing CSV report header information ... "); streamWriter.WriteLine("\"{0}\",\"{1}\",\"{2}\",\"{3}\"", ((int)CSVRecordType.Header).ToString("D2", CultureInfo.CurrentCulture), m_InputFilename, m_LoadStartDate, m_LoadEndDate); int recordCount = 0; if (SummarySection) { Log.Info("Writing CSV report summary section ... "); foreach (KeyValuePair<KeyValuePair<LoadStatus, string>, CategoryResult> categoryResult in m_DataLoadResult.DataLoadResults) { streamWriter.WriteLine("\"{0}\",\"{1}\",\"{2}\",\"{3}\"", ((int)CSVRecordType.Summary).ToString("D2", CultureInfo.CurrentCulture), categoryResult.Value.StatusString, categoryResult.Value.Count.ToString(CultureInfo.CurrentCulture), categoryResult.Value.Category); recordCount++; } } Log.Info("Writing CSV report cases section ... "); foreach (KeyValuePair<KeyValuePair<LoadStatus, string>, CategoryResult> categoryResult in m_DataLoadResult.DataLoadResults) { foreach (CaseLoadResult result in categoryResult.Value.CaseLoadResults) { if ((LoadStatus.Success == result.Status && SuccessCases) || (LoadStatus.Warnings == result.Status && WarningCases) || (LoadStatus.Failure == result.Status && FailureCases) || (LoadStatus.NotProcessed == result.Status && NotProcessedCases)) { streamWriter.Write("\"{0}\",\"{1}\",\"{2}\",\"{3}\",\"{4}\"", ((int)CSVRecordType.Result).ToString("D2", CultureInfo.CurrentCulture), result.Status, result.UniqueId, result.Category, result.ClassicReference); if (RawResponse) { streamWriter.Write(",\"{0}\"", result.ResponseXml); } streamWriter.WriteLine(); recordCount++; } } } streamWriter.WriteLine("\"{0}\",\"{1}\"", ((int)CSVRecordType.Count).ToString("D2", CultureInfo.CurrentCulture), recordCount); Log.Info("CSV report written to '{0}'", fileName); } catch (IOException execption) { string errorMessage = string.Format(CultureInfo.CurrentCulture, "Unable to write XML report to '{0}'", fileName); Log.Error(errorMessage); Log.Error(exception.Message); throw new MyException(errorMessage, exception); } finally { if (null != streamWriter) { streamWriter.Close(); } } } The file produced contains a set of records on each line 0 to N, for example: [Record Zero] [Record One] ... [Record N] However the file produced either contains nulls or incomplete records from further up the file appended to the end. For example: [Record Zero] [Record One] ... [Record N] [Lots of nulls] or [Record Zero] [Record One] ... [Record N] [Half complete records] This also happens in separate pieces of code that also use the StreamWriter class. Furthermore, the files produced all have sizes that are multiples of 1024. I've been unable to reproduce this behaviour on any other machine and have tried recreating the environment. Previous versions of the application didn't exhibite this behaviour despite having the same code for the methods in question. EDIT: Added extra code.

  • Look over my C# SQLite Query, what am I doing wrong?

    - by CODe
    I'm writing a WinForms database application using SQLite and C#. I have a sqlite query that is failing, and I'm unsure as to where I'm going wrong, as I've tried everything I could think of. public DataTable searchSubs(String businessName, String contactName) { string SQL = null; if ((businessName != null && businessName != "") && (contactName != null && contactName != "")) { // provided business name and contact name for search SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE BusinessName LIKE %@BusinessName% AND Contact LIKE %@ContactName%"; } else if ((businessName != null && businessName != "") && (contactName == null || contactName == "")) { // provided business name only for search SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE BusinessName LIKE %@BusinessName%"; } else if ((businessName == null || businessName == "") && (contactName != null && contactName != "")) { // provided contact name only for search SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE Contact LIKE %@ContactName%"; } else if ((businessName == null || businessName == "") && (contactName == null || contactName == "")) { // provided no search information SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR"; } SQLiteCommand cmd = new SQLiteCommand(SQL); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@BusinessName", businessName); cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ContactName", contactName); cmd.Connection = connection; SQLiteDataAdapter da = new SQLiteDataAdapter(cmd); DataSet ds = new DataSet(); try { da.Fill(ds); DataTable dt = ds.Tables[0]; return dt; } catch (Exception e) { MessageBox.Show(e.ToString()); return null; } finally { cmd.Dispose(); connection.Close(); } } I continually get an error saying that it is failing near the %'s. That's all fine and dandy, but I guess I'm structuring it wrong, but I don't know where! I tried adding apostrophes around the "like" variables, like this: SQL = "SELECT * FROM SUBCONTRACTOR WHERE Contact LIKE '%@ContactName%'"; and quite honestly, that is all I can think of. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Weird Datagrid / paint behaviour

    - by Shane.C
    The scenario: A method sends out a broadcast packet, and returned packets that are validated are deemed okay to be added as a row in my datagrid (The returned packets are from devices i want to add into my program). So for each packet returned, containing information about a device, i create a new row. This is done by first sending packets out, creating rows and adding them to a list of rows that are to be added, and then after 5 seconds (In which case all packets would have returned by then) i add the rows. Here's a few snippets of code. Here for each returned packet, i create a row and add it to a list; DataRow row = DGSource.NewRow(); row["Name"] = deviceName; row["Model"] = deviceModel; row["Location"] = deviceLocation; row["IP"] = finishedIP; row["MAC"] = finishedMac; row["Subnet"] = finishedSubnet; row["Gateway"] = finishedGateway; rowsToAdd.Add(row); Then when the timer elapses; void timerToAddRows_Elapsed(object sender, System.Timers.ElapsedEventArgs e) { timerToAddRows.Enabled = false; try { int count = 0; foreach (DataRow rowToAdd in rowsToAdd) { DGSource.Rows.Add(rowToAdd); count++; } rowsToAdd.Clear(); DGAutoDevices.InvokeEx(f => DGAutoDevices.Refresh()); lblNumberFound.InvokeEx(f => lblNumberFound.Text = count + " new devices found."); } catch { } } So at this point, each row has been added, and i call the re paint, by doing refresh. (Note: i've also tried refreshing the form itself, no avail). However, when the datagrid shows the rows, the scroll bar / datagrid seems to have weird behavour..for example i can't highlight anything with clicks (It's set to full row selection), and the scroll bar looks like so; Calling refresh doesn't work, although if i resize the window even 1 pixel, or minimize and maximise, the problem is solved. Other things to note : The method that get's the packets and adds the rows to the list, and then from the list to the datagrid runs in it's own thread. Any ideas as to something i might be missing here?

  • Get Confirm value in vb.net

    - by user1805641
    I have a hidden asp Button in a Repeater. In the VB.NET code behind I use the Rerpeater_ItemCommand to get the click event within the Repeater. There's a check if user is already recording a project. If yes and he wants to start a new one, a confirm box should appear asking "Are you sure?" How can I access the click value from confirm? <asp:Repeater ID="Repeater1" runat="server" OnItemCommand="Repeater1_ItemCommand"> <ItemTemplate> <div class="tile user_view user_<%# Eval("employeeName") %>"> <div class="tilesheight"></div> <div class="element"> <asp:Button ID="Button1" CssClass="hiddenbutton" runat="server" /> Index: <asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("index") %>' /><br /> <hr class="hr" /> customer: <asp:Label ID="CustomerLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("customer") %>' /><br /> <hr class ="hr" /> order: <asp:Label ID="OrderNoLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("orderNo") %>' /><br /> <asp:Label ID="DescriptionLabel" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("description") %>' /><br /> <hr class="hr" /> </div> </div> </ItemTemplate> </asp:Repeater> code behind: If empRecs.Contains(projects.Item(index.Text).employeeID) Then 'Catch index of recording order i = empRecs.IndexOf(projects.Item(index.Text).employeeID) Page.ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript(Me.GetType, "confirm", "confirm('Order " & empRecs(i + 2) & " already recording. Would you like to start a new one?')",True) 'If users clicks ok insertData() End If Other solutions are using the Click Event and a hidden field. But the problem is, I don't want the confirmbox to appear every time the button is clicked. Only when empRecs conatins an employee. Thanks for helping

  • NHibernateUnitOfWork + ASP.Net MVC

    - by Felipe
    Hi Guys, hows it going? I'm in my first time with DDD, so I'm begginer! So, let's take it's very simple :D I developed an application using asp.net mvc 2 , ddd and nhibernate. I have a domain model in a class library, my repositories in another class library, and an asp.net mvc 2 application. My Repository base class, I have a construct that I inject and dependency (my unique ISessionFactory object started in global.asax), the code is: public class Repository<T> : IRepository<T> where T : Entidade { protected ISessionFactory SessionFactory { get; private set; } protected ISession Session { get { return SessionFactory.GetCurrentSession(); } } protected Repository(ISessionFactory sessionFactory) { SessionFactory = sessionFactory; } public void Save(T entity) { Session.SaveOrUpdate(entity); } public void Delete(T entity) { Session.Delete(entity); } public T Get(long key) { return Session.Get<T>(key); } public IList<T> FindAll() { return Session.CreateCriteria(typeof(T)).SetCacheable(true).List<T>(); } } And After I have the spefic repositories, like this: public class DocumentRepository : Repository<Domain.Document>, IDocumentRepository { // constructor public DocumentRepository (ISessionFactory sessionFactory) : base(sessionFactory) { } public IList<Domain.Document> GetByType(int idType) { var result = Session.CreateQuery("from Document d where d.Type.Id = :IdType") .SetParameter("IdType", idType) .List<Domain.Document>(); return result; } } there is not control of transaction in this code, and it's working fine, but, I would like to make something to control this repositories in my controller of asp.net mvc, something simple, like this: using (var tx = /* what can I put here ? */) { try { _repositoryA.Save(objA); _repositoryB.Save(objB); _repositotyC.Delete(objC); /* ... others tasks ... */ tx.Commit(); } catch { tx.RollBack(); } } I've heared about NHibernateUnitOfWork, but i don't know :(, How Can I configure NHibernateUnitOfWork to work with my repositories ? Should I change the my simple repository ? Sugestions are welcome! So, thanks if somebody read to here! If can help me, I appretiate! PS: Sorry for my english! bye =D

  • Android , Read in binary data and write it to file

    - by Shpongle
    Hi all , Im trying to read in image file from a server , with the code below . It keeps going into the exception. I know the correct number of bytes are being sent as I print them out when received. Im sending the image file from python like so #open the image file and read it into an object imgfile = open (marked_image, 'rb') obj = imgfile.read() #get the no of bytes in the image and convert it to a string bytes = str(len(obj)) #send the number of bytes self.conn.send( bytes + '\n') if self.conn.sendall(obj) == None: imgfile.flush() imgfile.close() print 'Image Sent' else: print 'Error' Here is the android part , this is where I'm having the problem. Any suggestions on the best way to go about receiving the image and writing it to a file ? //read the number of bytes in the image String noOfBytes = in.readLine(); Toast.makeText(this, noOfBytes, 5).show(); byte bytes [] = new byte [Integer.parseInt(noOfBytes)]; //create a file to store the retrieved image File photo = new File(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory(), "PostKey.jpg"); DataInputStream dis = new DataInputStream(link.getInputStream()); try{ os =new FileOutputStream(photo); byte buf[]=new byte[1024]; int len; while((len=dis.read(buf))>0) os.write(buf,0,len); Toast.makeText(this, "File recieved", 5).show(); os.close(); dis.close(); }catch(IOException e){ Toast.makeText(this, "An IO Error Occured", 5).show(); } EDIT: I still cant seem to get it working. I have been at it since and the result of all my efforts have either resulted in a file that is not the full size or else the app crashing. I know the file is not corrupt before sending server side. As far as I can tell its definitely sending too as the send all method in python sends all or throws an exception in the event of an error and so far it has never thrown an exception. So the client side is messed up . I have to send the file from the server so I cant use the suggestion suggested by Brian .

  • How to write my own global lock / unlock functions for PostgreSQL

    - by rafalmag
    I have postgresql (in perlu) function getTravelTime(integer, timestamp), which tries to select data for specified ID and timestamp. If there are no data or if data is old, it downloads them from external server (downloading time ~300ms). Multiple process use this database and this function. There is an error when two process do not find data and download them and try to do an insert to travel_time table (id and timestamp pair have to be unique). I thought about locks. Locking whole table would block all processes and allow only one to proceed. I need to lock only on id and timestamp. pg_advisory_lock seems to lock only in "current session". But my processes uses their own sessions. I tried to write my own lock/unlock functions. Am I doing it right? I use active waiting, how can I omit this? Maybe there is a way to use pg_advisory_lock() as global lock? My code: CREATE TABLE travel_time_locks ( id_key integer NOT NULL, time_key timestamp without time zone NOT NULL, UNIQUE (id_key, time_key) ); ------------ -- Function: mylock(integer, timestamp) DROP FUNCTION IF EXISTS mylock(integer, timestamp) CASCADE; -- Usage: SELECT mylock(1, '2010-03-28T19:45'); -- function tries to do a global lock similar to pg_advisory_lock(key, key) CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION mylock(id_input integer, time_input timestamp) RETURNS void AS $BODY$ DECLARE rows int; BEGIN LOOP BEGIN -- active waiting here !!!! :( INSERT INTO travel_time_locks (id_key, time_key) VALUES (id_input, time_input); EXCEPTION WHEN unique_violation THEN CONTINUE; END; EXIT; END LOOP; END; $BODY$ LANGUAGE 'plpgsql' VOLATILE COST 1; ------------ -- Function: myunlock(integer, timestamp) DROP FUNCTION IF EXISTS myunlock(integer, timestamp) CASCADE; -- Usage: SELECT myunlock(1, '2010-03-28T19:45'); -- function tries to do a global unlock similar to pg_advisory_unlock(key, key) CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION myunlock(id_input integer, time_input timestamp) RETURNS integer AS $BODY$ DECLARE BEGIN DELETE FROM ONLY travel_time_locks WHERE id_key=id_input AND time_key=time_input; RETURN 1; END; $BODY$ LANGUAGE 'plpgsql' VOLATILE COST 1;

  • Twisted + SQLAlchemy and the best way to do it.

    - by Khorkrak
    So I'm writing yet another Twisted based daemon. It'll have an xmlrpc interface as usual so I can easily communicate with it and have other processes interchange data with it as needed. This daemon needs to access a database. We've been using SQL Alchemy in place of hard coding SQL strings for our latest projects - those mostly done for web apps in Pylons. We'd like to do the same for this app and re-use library code that makes use of SQL Alchemy. So what to do? Well of course since that library was written for use in a Pylons app it's all the straight-forward blocking style code that everyone is accustomed to and all of the non-blocking is magically handled by Pylons via threading, thread locals, scoped sessions and so on. So now for Twisted I guess I'm a bit stuck. I could: Just write the sql I need directly if it's minimal and use the dbapi pool in twisted to do runInteractions etc when I need to hit the db. Use the objects and inherently blocking methods in our library and block now and then in my Twisted daemon. Bah. Use sAsync which was last updated in 2008 and kind of reuse the models we have defined already but not really and it does address code that needs to work in Pylons either. Does that even work with the latest version SQL Alchemy? Who knows. That project looked great though - why was it apparently abandoned? Spawn a separate subprocess and have it deal with the library code and all it's blocking, the results being returned back to my daemon when ready as objects marshalled via YAML over xmlrpc. Use deferToThread and then expunge the objects returned having made sure to do eager loads so that I have all my stuff that I might need. Seems kind of ugha to me. I'm also stuck using Python 2.5.4 atm so no 2.6 yet and I don't think I can just do an import from future to get access to the cool new multiprocessing module stuff in there. That's OK though I guess as we've got dealing with interprocess communication down pretty well. So I'm leaning towards option 4 mostly as that would avoid the mortal sin of logic duplication with option 1 while also staying the heck away from threads. Any better ideas?

  • Issue with blocking the UI during a onchange request - prevents other event from firing.

    - by jfrobishow
    I am having issues with jQuery blockUI plugins and firing two events that are (I think, unless I am loosing it) unrelated. Basically I have textboxes with onchange events bound to them. The event is responsible for blocking the UI, doing the ajax call and on success unblocking the UI. The ajax is saving the text in memory. The other control is a button with on onclick event which also block the UI, fire an ajax request saving what's in memory to the database and on success unblock the UI. Both of these work fine separately. The issue arise when I trigger the onchange by clicking on the button. Then only the onchange is fired and the onclick is ignored. I can change the text in the checkbox, click on the link and IF jQuery.blockUI() is present the onchange alone is fired and the save is never called. If I remove the blockUI both function are called. Here's a fully working example where you can see the issue. Please note the setTimeout are there when I was trying to simulate the ajax delay but the issue is happening without it. <html> <head> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="http://github.com/malsup/blockui/raw/master/jquery.blockUI.js?v2.31"></script> <script> function doSomething(){ $.blockUI(); alert("doing something"); //setTimeout(function(){ $.unblockUI(); //},500); } function save(){ $.blockUI(); //setTimeout(function(){ alert("saving"); $.unblockUI(); //}, 1000); } </script> </head> <body> <input type="text" onchange="doSomething();"> <a href="#" onclick="save()">save</a> </body> </html>

  • How to send a Java integer in four bytes to another application?

    - by user1468729
    public void routeMessage(byte[] data, int mode) { logger.debug(mode); logger.debug(Integer.toBinaryString(mode)); byte[] message = new byte[8]; ByteBuffer byteBuffer = ByteBuffer.allocate(4); ByteArrayOutputStream baoStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); DataOutputStream doStream = new DataOutputStream(baoStream); try { doStream.writeInt(mode); } catch (IOException e) { logger.debug("Error converting mode from integer to bytes.", e); return; } byte [] bytes = baoStream.toByteArray(); bytes[0] = (byte)((mode >>> 24) & 0x000000ff); bytes[1] = (byte)((mode >>> 16) & 0x000000ff); bytes[2] = (byte)((mode >>> 8) & 0x00000ff); bytes[3] = (byte)(mode & 0x000000ff); //bytes = byteBuffer.array(); for (byte b : bytes) { logger.debug(b); } for (int i = 0; i < 4; i++) { //byte tmp = (byte)(mode >> (32 - ((i + 1) * 8))); message[i] = bytes[i]; logger.debug("mode, " + i + ": " + Integer.toBinaryString(message[i])); message[i + 4] = data[i]; } broker.routeMessage(message); } I've tried different ways (as you can see from the commented code) to convert the mode to four bytes to send it via a socket to another application. It works well with integers up to 127 and then again with integers over 256. I believe it has something to do with Java types being signed but don't seem to get it to work. Here are some examples of what the program prints. 127 1111111 0 0 0 127 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 0 mode, 3: 1111111 128 10000000 0 0 0 -128 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 0 mode, 3: 11111111111111111111111110000000 211 11010011 0 0 0 -45 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 0 mode, 3: 11111111111111111111111111010011 306 100110010 0 0 1 50 mode, 0: 0 mode, 1: 0 mode, 2: 1 mode, 3: 110010 How is it suddenly possible for a byte to store 32 bits? How could I fix this?

  • making a password-only auth with bcrypt and mongoose

    - by user3081123
    I want to create service that let you login only with password. You type a password and if this password exists - you are logged in and if it's not - username is generated and password is encrypted. I'm having some misunderstandings and hope someone would help me to show where I'm mistaken. I guess, it would look somewhat like this in agularjs First we receive a password in login controller. $scope.signup = function() { var user = { password: $scope.password, }; $http.post('/auth/signup', user); }; Send it via http.post and get in in our node server file. We are provided with a compare password bcrypt function userSchema.methods.comparePassword = function(candidatePassword, cb) { bcrypt.compare(candidatePassword, this.password, function(err, isMatch) { if (err) return cb(err); cb(null, isMatch); }); }; So right now we are creating function to catch our http request app.post('/auth/signup', function(req, res, next) { Inside we use a compair password function to realize if such password exists or not yet. So we have to encrypt a password with bcrypt to make a comparison First we hash it same way as in .pre var encPass; bcrypt.genSalt(10, function(err, salt) { if (err) return next(err); bcrypt.hash(req.body.password, salt, function(err, hash) { if (err) return next(err); encPass=hash; )}; )}; We have encrypted password stored in encPass so now we follow to finding a user in database with this password User.findOne({ password: encPass }, function(err, user) { if (user) { //user exists, it means we should pass an ID of this user to a controller to display it in a view. I don't know how. res.send({user.name}) //like this? How should controller receive this? With $http.post? } else { and now if user doesn't exist - we should create it with user ID generated by my function var nUser = new User({ name: generId(), password: req.body.password }); nUser.save(function(err) { if (err) return next(err); )}; )}; )}; Am I doing anything right? I'm pretty new to js and angular. If so - how do I throw a username back at controller? If someone is interested - this service exists for 100+ symbol passphrases so possibility of entering same passphrase as someone else is miserable. And yeah, If someone logged in under 123 password - the other guy will log in as same user if he entered 123 password, but hey, you are warned to make a big passphrase. So I'm confident about the idea and I only need a help with understanding and realization.

  • Android Thumbnail Loading Problem

    - by y ramesh rao
    I'm using a thumbnail loader in my project the one mentioned below. The problem is that the it loads all the thumbnails properly except the ones who's size is of about 40K. When our back end is giving that sort of thumbnails are not generated and sometimes this eventually leads to a Crash too. What m I supposed to do with this ? public class ThumbnailManager { private final Map<String, Bitmap> drawableMap; public static Context context; private Resources res; private int thumbnail_size; public ThumbnailManager() { drawableMap = new HashMap<String, Bitmap >(); res = new Resources(context.getAssets(), null, null); thumbnail_size = res.getInteger(R.ThumbnailManager.THUMBNAIL_SIZE); } public Bitmap fetchBitmap(String urlString) { if(drawableMap.containsKey(urlString)) { return (drawableMap.get(urlString)); } //Log.d(getClass().getSimpleName(), " Image URL :: "+ urlString); try { InputStream is = fetch(urlString); android.util.Log.v("ThumbnailManager", "ThumbnailManager " + urlString); drawableMap.put(urlString, BitmapFactory.decodeStream(is));//Bitmap.createScaledBitmap(BitmapFactory.decodeStream(is), thumbnail_size, thumbnail_size, false)); return drawableMap.get(urlString); } catch(Exception e) { android.util.Log.v("EXCEPTION", "EXCEPTION" + urlString); return null; } } public void fetchBitmapOnThread(final String urlString, final ImageView imageView) { if(drawableMap.containsKey(urlString)) { imageView.setImageBitmap(drawableMap.get(urlString)); return; } if(urlString.compareTo("AUDIO") == 0) { Bitmap audioThumb = BitmapFactory.decodeResource(context.getResources(), R.drawable.timeline_audio_thumb); drawableMap.put(urlString, Bitmap.createScaledBitmap(audioThumb, thumbnail_size, thumbnail_size, false)); imageView.setImageBitmap(drawableMap.get(urlString)); return; } final Handler handler = new Handler() { public void handleMessage(Message message) { imageView.setImageBitmap((Bitmap) message.obj); } }; Thread thread = new Thread() { public void run() { Bitmap urlBitmap = fetchBitmap(urlString); Message message = handler.obtainMessage(1, urlBitmap); handler.sendMessage(message); } }; thread.start(); } public InputStream fetch(String urlString) throws IOException, MalformedURLException { final URL url = new URL(urlString); final URLConnection conn = url.openConnection(); HttpURLConnection httpConn = (HttpURLConnection) conn; httpConn.setAllowUserInteraction(true); httpConn.setInstanceFollowRedirects(true); httpConn.setRequestMethod("GET"); httpConn.connect(); return(conn.getInputStream()); } }

  • Facebook PHP SDK - can't pass parameters to getLoginUrl()

    - by Elliott
    I'm using the Facebook PHP SDK for simple login with extended permissions. I'm using the example code from the SDK docs, but I found that I need to manually clear out the FB session data otherwise if($user) comes back as true even though the user is logged out. I have the app going to logout.php upon logout; this page clears out the session vars and redirects to the app home page. Once I clear out the FB session data, log in/log out works fine. However, it stops working if I pass $params to the getLoginUrl function. Once I pass any params (I've tried several), the login breaks, either by not bringing up the second extended permissions screen or by refreshing the app page w/out login success. index page and logout page code follow. index.php <?php require 'services/facebook-php-sdk/src/facebook.php'; $facebook = new Facebook(array( 'appId' => '[APP_ID]', 'secret' => '[SECRET]', )); // Get User ID $user = $facebook->getUser(); if($user) { try { // Proceed knowing you have a logged in user who's authenticated. $user_profile = $facebook->api('/me'); $params = array('next' => 'http://'.$_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].'/logout.php'); $logout_url = $facebook->getLogoutUrl($params); } catch (FacebookApiException $e) { error_log($e); $user = null; } } else { $login_url = $facebook->getLoginUrl($params = array('redirect_uri' => 'http://'.$_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].'/', 'scope' => 'read_stream')); } ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> </head> <body> <?php if($user) { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo($logout_url); ?>">Log out</a></p> <?php } else { ?> <p><a href="<?php echo($login_url); ?>">Log in</a></p> <?php } ?> </body> </html> logout.php <?php session_start(); $fb_app_id = '[APP_ID]'; unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_code']); unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_access_token']); unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_user_id']); unset($_SESSION['fb_'.$fb_app_id.'_state']); header('Location: http://'.$_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].'/'); ?>

  • Sending string to wcf service using jquery ajax. why can i only send strings of numbers?

    - by Robodude
    Hi Guys, For some reason, I'm only able to pass strings containing numbers to my web service when using jquery ajax. This hasn't been an issue so far because I was always just passing IDs to my wcf service. But I'm trying to do something more complex now but I can't figure it out. In my interface: [OperationContract] [WebInvoke(ResponseFormat = WebMessageFormat.Json)] DataTableOutput GetDataTableOutput(string json); My webservice: public DataTableOutput GetDataTableOutput(string json) { DataTableOutput x = new DataTableOutput(); x.iTotalDisplayRecords = 9; x.iTotalRecords = 50; x.sColumns = "1"; x.sEcho = "1"; x.aaData = null; return x; } Javascript/Jquery: var x = "1"; $.ajax({ type: "POST", async: false, url: "Services/Service1.svc/GetDataTableOutput", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: x, dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { }, error: function (XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { //alert(XMLHttpRequest.status); //alert(XMLHttpRequest.responseText); } }); The above code WORKS perfectly. But when I change x to "t" or even to "{'test':'test'}" I get a Error 400 Bad Request error in Firebug. Thanks, John EDIT: Making some progress! data: JSON.stringify("{'test':'test'}"), Sends the string to my function! EDIT2: var jsonAOData = JSON.stringify(aoData); $.ajax({ type: "POST", async: false, url: sSource, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: "{'Input':" + jsonAOData + "}", dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { }, error: function (XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { //alert(XMLHttpRequest.status); //alert(XMLHttpRequest.responseText); } }); EDIT3: I modified the code block I put in EDIT2 up above. Swapping the " and ' did the trick! $.ajax({ type: "POST", async: false, url: sSource, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", data: '{"Input":' + jsonAOData + '}', dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { }, error: function (XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { //alert(XMLHttpRequest.status); //alert(XMLHttpRequest.responseText); } }); However, I have a new problem: public DataTableOutput GetDataTableOutput(DataTableInputOverview Input) { The input here is completely null. The values I passed from jsonAOData didn't get assigned to the DataTableInputOverview Input variable. :(

  • Why isn't my File.Move() working?

    - by yeahumok
    I'm not sure what exactly i'm doing wrong here...but i noticed that my File.Move() isn't renaming any files. Also, does anybody know how in my 2nd loop, i'd be able to populate my .txt file with a list of the path AND sanitized file name? using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.IO; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; namespace ConsoleApplication2 { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { //recurse through files. Let user press 'ok' to move onto next step string[] files = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Documents and Settings\jane.doe\Desktop\~Test Folder for [SharePoint] %testing", "*.*", SearchOption.AllDirectories); foreach (string file in files) { Console.Write(file + "\r\n"); } Console.WriteLine("Press any key to continue..."); Console.ReadKey(true); //End section //Regex -- find invalid chars string pattern = " *[\\~#%&*{}/<>?|\"-]+ *"; string replacement = " "; Regex regEx = new Regex(pattern); string[] fileDrive = Directory.GetFiles(@"C:\Documents and Settings\jane.doe\Desktop\~Test Folder for [SharePoint] %testing", "*.*", SearchOption.AllDirectories); List<string> filePath = new List<string>(); //clean out file -- remove the path name so file name only shows string result; foreach(string fileNames in fileDrive) { result = Path.GetFileName(fileNames); filePath.Add(result); } StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter(@"C:\Documents and Settings\jane.doe\Desktop\~Test Folder for [SharePoint] %testing\File_Renames.txt"); //Sanitize and remove invalid chars foreach(string Files2 in filePath) { try { string sanitized = regEx.Replace(Files2, replacement); sw.Write(sanitized + "\r\n"); System.IO.File.Move(Files2, sanitized); System.IO.File.Delete(Files2); } catch (Exception ex) { Console.Write(ex); } } sw.Close(); } } } I'm VERY new to C# and trying to write an app that recurses through a specific drive, finds invalid characters (as specified in the RegEx pattern), removes them from the filename and then write a .txt file that has the path name and the corrected filename. Any ideas?

  • C# AES returns wrong Test Vectors

  • Strange lifecycle behaviour with f:ajax and valueChangedListener

    - by gerry
    I want to use the f:ajax tag to update a part of a page with a editor gui, which style depends on a selectOneMenu and its selected item. The problem is, that if the ajax is called the server first renders the editor and then executes the valueChangedListener method. In my JSF2.0 / Facelets app I've the following code: ... <h:selectOneMenu id="typeSelect" validator="#{addEntityBean.checkType}" value="#{addEntityBean.selectedTypeAsString}" valueChangeListener="#{addEntityBean.selectedTypeChanged}"> <f:ajax render="editorGrid"/> <f:selectItems value="#{addEntityBean.entityTypeListAsString}"/> </h:selectOneMenu> ... <h:panelGrid id="editorGrid" columns="2" binding="#{addEntityBean.dynamicEditorGrid}" /> The BackingBean code looks like this: public String getSelectedTypeAsString() { return selectedTypeAsString; } public void setSelectedTypeAsString(String selectedType) { this.selectedTypeAsString = selectedType; } public Class<? extends Entity> getSelectedType() { log.severe("getSelectedType"); Class<? extends Entity> res = null; if(selectedTypeAsString != null){ int index = entityTypeListAsString.indexOf(selectedTypeAsString); res = entityTypeList.get(index); } return res; } public void selectedTypeChanged(ValueChangeEvent event){ setSelectedTypeAsString((String)event.getNewValue()); Class<? extends Entity> clazz = getSelectedType(); if(clazz != null){ try { setEntity(clazz.newInstance()); } catch (Exception e) { log.severe(e); } } else{ setEntity(null); } } public HtmlPanelGrid getDynamicEditorGrid() { HtmlPanelGrid grid = DynamicHtmlComponentCreator.createHtmlPanelGrid(); Entity entity = getEntity(); if(entity != null){ log.severe("getEntity() -->"+entity.getClassName()); grid = (HtmlPanelGrid)buildGui(grid, entity, "entityBean.entity", false); } else log.severe("getEntity() --> null"); return grid; } The problem is, that the server logs show that at first the getDynamicEditorGrid() is executed. And later the selectedTypeChanged()-listener-method. So everytime the selected editor style type is update one selection later. I.e. after a page reload (the type is initally null) the user selects the A, now the getDynamicEditorGrid() is executed again with type null and after that the type is changed to A. Again the user selects now B (after A) and now the getDynamicEditorGrid() is executed with the type A and after that the type is changed to B. What is wrong with my code? How can I fix this really strange behavior...

  • JUnit for Functions with Void Return Values

    - by RobotNerd
    I've been working on a Java application where I have to use JUnit for testing. I am learning it as I go. So far I find it to be useful, especially when used in conjunction with the Eclipse JUnit plugin. After playing around a bit, I developed a consistent method for building my unit tests for functions with no return values. I wanted to share it here and ask others to comment. Do you have any suggested improvements or alternative ways to accomplish the same goal? Common Return Values First, there's an enumeration which is used to store values representing test outcomes. public enum UnitTestReturnValues { noException, unexpectedException // etc... } Generalized Test Let's say a unit test is being written for: public class SomeClass { public void targetFunction (int x, int y) { // ... } } The JUnit test class would be created: import junit.framework.TestCase; public class TestSomeClass extends TestCase { // ... } Within this class, I create a function which is used for every call to the target function being tested. It catches all exceptions and returns a message based on the outcome. For example: public class TestSomeClass extends TestCase { private UnitTestReturnValues callTargetFunction (int x, int y) { UnitTestReturnValues outcome = UnitTestReturnValues.noException; SomeClass testObj = new SomeClass (); try { testObj.targetFunction (x, y); } catch (Exception e) { UnitTestReturnValues.unexpectedException; } return outcome; } } JUnit Tests Functions called by JUnit begin with a lowercase "test" in the function name, and they fail at the first failed assertion. To run multiple tests on the targetFunction above, it would be written as: public class TestSomeClass extends TestCase { public void testTargetFunctionNegatives () { assertEquals ( callTargetFunction (-1, -1), UnitTestReturnValues.noException); } public void testTargetFunctionZeros () { assertEquals ( callTargetFunction (0, 0), UnitTestReturnValues.noException); } // and so on... } Please let me know if you have any suggestions or improvements. Keep in mind that I am in the process of learning how to use JUnit, so I'm sure there are existing tools available that might make this process easier. Thanks!
