  • Security considerations processing emails

    - by Timmy O' Tool
    I have process that will be reading emails from an account. The objective of the process is saving to a database those emails with image(s) as attachments. I will be saving sender, subject body and image path (the image will be saved on the process). I will be showing this information on a page so I would like to know all (or most of them :) ) security aspects to cover. I plan to sanitize the subject and body of the email. I can remove most of the tags, probably it would be enough keeping the <p> tag. I'm not sure if I can trust just in a sanitizer. I would like to HTML encode everything except for the <p> tag after sanitize, just in case. Any suggestion? I'm only accepting images as attachment as I said above, any security risk I have to take into account in relation to the attachment? Thanks!

  • Problem with NHibernate and saving - NHibernate doesn't detect changes and uses old values.

    - by Vilx-
    When I do this: Cat x = Session.Load<Cat>(123); x.Name = "fritz"; Session.Flush(); NHibernate detects the change and UPDATEs the DB. But, when I do this: Cat x = new Cat(); Session.Save(x); x.Name = "fritz"; Session.Flush(); I get NULL for name, because that's what was there when I called Session.Save(). Why doesn't NHibernate detect the changes - or better yet, take the values for the INSERT statement at the time of Flush()?

  • Could I return a FileStream as a generic interface to a file?

    - by Eric
    I'm writing a class interface that needs to return references to binary files. Typically I would provide a reference to a file as a file path. However, I'm considering storing some of the files (such as a small thumbnail) in a database directly rather then on a file system. In this case I don't want to add the extra step of reading the thumbnail out of the database onto the disc and then returning a path to the file for my program to read. I'd want to stream the image directly out of the database into my program and avoid writing anything to the disc unless the user explicit wants to save something. Would having my interface return a FileStreamor even a Imagemake sense? Then it would be up to the implementing class to determine if the source of the FileStream or Image is a file on a disc or binary data in a database. public interface MyInterface { string Thumbnail {get;} string Attachment {get;} } vs public interface MyInterface { Image Thumbnail {get;} FileStream Attachment {get;} }

  • How do I theme Form API buttons in Drupal?

    - by larssg
    The default output from Drupal's Form API is: <input id="edit-submit" class="form-submit" type="submit" value="Save" name="op"/> How do I theme that so I get: <button id="edit-submit" class="form-submit" type="submit"> <span>Save</span> </button> I need the inner span-tag so I can use the sliding doors CSS technique. I guess I need to override theme_button($element) from form.inc but my attempts so far have been unsuccessful.

  • Another php array looping question

    - by Dan
    Been battling with this one for what seems, like forever. I have an array: $url_array It contains this info: Array ( [ppp] => Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 46660 [entity_id] => 0 [redirect_url] => http://www.google.com [type] => Image ) [1] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 52662 [entity_id] => 0 [pixel_redirect_url] => http://www.yahoo.com [type] => Image ) [2] => stdClass Object ( [id] => 53877 [entity_id] => 0 [redirect_url] => http://www.msn.com [pixel_type] => Image ) ) [total_count] => 3 ) I need to loop through it, and do things to each variable. I can get this to work: foreach ($piggies_array as $key => $value) { $id = $value[0]->id; $redirect_url = $value[0]->redirect_url; } Not unsurprisingly, it's only echoing the first value of those variables, but no matter what I try I cannot get it to loop through: $value->redirect_url; $value=>redirect_url; I would appreciate any help.

  • Why might this work on my server but not my schools?

    - by Doug
    I created a captcha just now, and it works PERFECTLY on my own server. On the school's server, it doesn't generate an image. Why might this be? The difference in code is one line. *Edit:*Originally, it was working, but I deleted the directory by mistake and I do not know why did it suddenly work in the first place. Source code on school server: <?php session_save_path("/ichanged/this/path/for/this/post/"); session_start(); $img=imagecreatefromjpeg("bg.jpg"); if( empty($_SESSION['captcha_numbers']) ) { $captcha_numbers = 'error'; } else { $captcha_numbers = $_SESSION['captcha_numbers']; } $image_numbers=$captcha_numbers; $red=rand(100,150); $green=rand(100,255); $blue=rand(100,255); $color=imagecolorallocate($img,255-$red,255-$green,255-$blue); $text=imagettftext($img,12,rand(-7,7),rand(10,20),rand(20,30),$color,"fonts/M04.TTF",$image_numbers); header("Content-type:image/jpeg"); header("Content-Disposition:inline ; filename=secure.jpg"); imagejpeg($img); ?> Source code on my server: <?php session_start(); $img=imagecreatefromjpeg("bg.jpg"); if( empty($_SESSION['captcha_numbers']) ) { $captcha_numbers = 'error'; } else { $captcha_numbers = $_SESSION['captcha_numbers']; } $image_numbers=$captcha_numbers; $red=rand(100,150); $green=rand(100,255); $blue=rand(100,255); $color=imagecolorallocate($img,255-$red,255-$green,255-$blue); $text=imagettftext($img,12,rand(-7,7),rand(10,20),rand(20,30),$color,"fonts/M04.TTF",$image_numbers); header("Content-type:image/jpeg"); header("Content-Disposition:inline ; filename=secure.jpg"); imagejpeg($img); ?>

  • Print an EObject ?

    - by tul
    I am writing some eclipse emf code and would like to print the content of an EObject (not store it to disk). Here is what I try: public static void print(EObject obj) { Resource eResource = obj.eResource(); try { eResource.save(System.out, null); } catch (IOException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } but that gives a NullPointerException. I have tried this instead: public static void print(EObject obj) { ResourceSet resourceSet = new ResourceSetImpl(); resourceSet.getResourceFactoryRegistry().getProtocolToFactoryMap() .put("*", new XMIResourceFactoryImpl()); Resource resource = resourceSet.createResource(URI.createURI("dummyfile.xml")); resource.getContents().add(obj); try { resource.save(System.out, null); } catch (IOException ioe) { ioe.printStackTrace(); } } This works, but is it not possible to print to screen without specifying a dummy URI??

    As a newbie to rails I can't find how to solve my issue ^^ I want to create a VideoPost from a form with a text field containing a video url (like youtube) I'm getting information on the video thanks to the gem https://github.com/thibaudgg/video_info And I want to save thoses information using a model of mine (VideoInformation). But I don't know how the create process should work. Thanks for any help ! I'm trying to create a VideoPost in VideoPostsController like this : def create video_info = VideoInfo.new(params[:video_url]) video_information = VideoInformation.create(video_info) #undefined method `stringify_keys' for #<Youtube:0x00000006a24120> if video_information.save @video_post = current_user.video_posts.build(video_information) end end My VideoPost model : # Table name: video_posts # # id :integer not null, primary key # user_id :integer # video_information_id :integer # created_at :datetime not null # updated_at :datetime not null My VideoInformation model (which got same attributes name than VideoInfo gem) : # Table name: video_informations # # id :integer not null, primary key # title :string(255) # description :text # keywords :text # duration :integer # video_url :string(255) # thumbnail_small :string(255) # thumbnail_large :string(255) # created_at :datetime not null # updated_at :datetime not null

  • 3d cube using canvas. Need a little improvement

    - by TimeManx
    I made this 3d cube using the following code Matrix mMatrix = canvas.getMatrix(); canvas.save(); camera.save(); camera.rotateY(-angle); camera.getMatrix(mMatrix); mMatrix.preTranslate(-width, 0); mMatrix.postTranslate(width, 0); canvas.concat(mMatrix); canvas.drawBitmap(bmp1, 0, 0, null); camera.restore(); canvas.restore(); camera.rotateY(90 - angle); camera.getMatrix(mMatrix); mMatrix.preTranslate(-width, 0); mMatrix.postTranslate(width2, 0); canvas.concat(mMatrix); canvas.drawBitmap(bmp2, width, 0, null); This is what it gives But what I need is It's because when Camera rotates the images, some part of the image gets hidden. Like this But I think this can be done.

  • C#.NET Reload configuration settings from an external config file during run-time.

    - by user569850
    I'm writing a game server in C#.Net and would like to reload or refresh settings from a config file while the server is running. Ideally I would like to save the settings in an XML file, have the ability to edit the file while the game server is running and then send the server the command to reload the settings from the file. I know I can use a database to do this as well, but the game server is fairly small and I think it would be more practical to just save settings in a flat-file. I will have file-level access to the machine the server will run on. What should I use?

  • RequestFactoryEditorDriver getting edited data after flush

    - by Deanna
    Let me start with I have a solution, but I don't really think it is elegant. So, I am looking for a cleaner way to do this. I have an EntityProxy displayed in a view panel. The view panel is a RequestFactoryEditorDriver only using display mode. The user clicks on a data element and opens a popup editor to edit a data element of the EntityProxy with a few more bits of data than is displayed in the view panel. When the user saves the element I need the view panel to update the display. I ran into a problem because the RequestFactoryEditorDriver of the popup editor flow doesn't let you get to the edited data. The driver uses the passed in context and sends it to the server. The context returned out of flush only allows a Receiver even if you cast it to the type of context you stored in the editor driver in the edit() call. It doesn't appear to send and EntityProxyChanged event either, so I couldn't listen for that and update the display view. The solution I found was to change my domain object persist to return the newly saved entity. Then create the popup editor like this editor.getSaveButtonClickHandler().addClickHandler(createSaveHandler(driver, editor)); // initialize the Driver and edit the given text. driver.initialize(rf, editor); PlayerProfileCtx ctx = rf.playerProfile(); ctx.persist().using(playerProfile).with(driver.getPaths()) .to(new Receiver<PlayerProfileProxy>(){ @Override public void onSuccess(PlayerProfileProxy profile) { editor.hide(); playerProfile = profile; viewDriver.display(playerProfile); } }); driver.edit(playerProfile, ctx); editor.centerAndShow(); Then in the save handler I just fire the context I get from the flush. While this approach works, it doesn't seem right. It would seem I should subscribe to the entitychanged event in the display view and update the entity and the view from there. Also this approach saves the complete entity, not just the changed bits, which will increase bandwidth usage. What I would think should happen, is when you flush the entity it should 'optimistically' update the rf managed version of the entity and fire the entity proxy changed event. Only reverting the entity if something went wrong in the save. The actual save should only send the changed bits. In this way there isn't a need to refetch the whole entity and send that complete data over the wire twice. Is there a better solution?

  • WCF publish/subscribe service, and ASP.NET MVC client

    - by d3j4vu
    I managed to develop a custom WCF service, using the publish / subscribe model, and hosted inside a managed windows service. Everything's working. I developed an interface as the service contract implementing a method definition marked as a non-one way operation contract (OperationContract(IsOneWay = false)]. This, to make possible returns an instance of a custom class derived from System.Web.Mvc.ActionResult. In the MVC app, event fires ok. It wraps inside an action method, (just the one defined in the interface), but, and this is my current problem, i believe that something relative to the execution context of the windows service (and the hosted wcf counterpart) blocks the execution of the action method in the MVC app. This is what i have until now (some pieces ripped off just to be more clear): /// Method definition for the contract's service. Maps to a MVC ActionMethod. [OperationContract(IsOneWay = false)] ActionResult Imagen(string data, CustomActionResult result); The class to hold an ActionResult derived class instance: public class ServiceEventArgsMvc : ServiceEventArgs { /// <summary> /// /// </summary> public CustomActionResult Result { get; set; } } And the code in the MVC client app: /// <summary> /// Just a simple class to hold an abstract ActionResult derived class instance. /// </summary> public ActionResult Image(string data, CustomActionResult result) { ViewData["data"] = data; return View(); } Ok. ActionMethod sucessfully executes...but when it's done (and usually expected obtain a reditection to a View named Image, like the action method), the WCF service throws a Timeout exception, making clear that he's still waiting for a response from the MVC client. The response never arrives, so the MVC app never finish his work (redirect to the "Image" view as expected). Any ideas?. Guess i'm missing something very simple, but i don't know what it could be. This is drivin' me nuts.

  • Best way to attach row from datagrid to EF.

    - by AKoran
    Using MVVM and EF...I have a datagrid binding to a View Model (using ObservableCollection). The view model has a save command which simply calls the SaveChanges command of the Data Context. However, when a user adds a new row to the datagrid, the new entity is detached. Is there any easy way to automatically attach it when it gets created. Currently, I'm having to do this in the Save command of my View Model and it seems a bit clunky: foreach (var dataItem in _DataList) // where _DataList is the ObservableCollection { if (dataItem.EntityState == EntityState.Detached) { _DataContext.AddToTestTables(dataItem); } } _DataContext.SaveChanges();

  • Interesting Scala typing solution, doesn't work in 2.7.7?

    - by djc
    I'm trying to build some image algebra code that can work with images (basically a linear pixel buffer + dimensions) that have different types for the pixel. To get this to work, I've defined a parametrized Pixel trait with a few methods that should be able to get used with any Pixel subclass. (For now, I'm only interested in operations that work on the same Pixel type.) Here it is: trait Pixel[T <: Pixel[T]] { def mul(v: Double): T def max(v: T): T def div(v: Double): T def div(v: T): T } Now I define a single Pixel type that has storage based on three doubles (basically RGB 0.0-1.0), I've called it TripleDoublePixel: class TripleDoublePixel(v: Array[Double]) extends Pixel[TripleDoublePixel] { var data: Array[Double] = v def this() = this(Array(0.0, 0.0, 0.0)) def toString(): String = { "(" + data(0) + ", " + data(1) + ", " + data(2) + ")" } def increment(v: TripleDoublePixel) { data(0) += v.data(0) data(1) += v.data(1) data(2) += v.data(2) } def mul(v: Double): TripleDoublePixel = { new TripleDoublePixel(data.map(x => x * v)) } def div(v: Double): TripleDoublePixel = { new TripleDoublePixel(data.map(x => x / v)) } def div(v: TripleDoublePixel): TripleDoublePixel = { var tmp = new Array[Double](3) tmp(0) = data(0) / v.data(0) tmp(1) = data(1) / v.data(1) tmp(2) = data(2) / v.data(2) new TripleDoublePixel(tmp) } def max(v: TripleDoublePixel): TripleDoublePixel = { val lv = data(0) * data(0) + data(1) * data(1) + data(2) * data(2) val vv = v.data(0) * v.data(0) + v.data(1) * v.data(1) + v.data(2) * v.data(2) if (lv > vv) (this) else v } } Now I want to write code to use this, that doesn't have to know what type the pixels are. For example: def idiv[T](a: Image[T], b: Image[T]) { for (i <- 0 until a.data.size) { a.data(i) = a.data(i).div(b.data(i)) } } Unfortunately, this doesn't compile: (fragment of lindet-gen.scala):145: error: value div is not a member of T a.data(i) = a.data(i).div(b.data(i)) I was told in #scala that this worked for someone else, but that was on 2.8. I've tried to get 2.8-rc1 going, but it doesn't compile for me. Is there any way to get this to work in 2.7.7?

  • Javascript object encapsulation that tracks changes

    - by Raynos
    Is it possible to create an object container where changes can be tracked Said object is a complex nested object of data. (compliant with JSON). The wrapper allows you to get the object, and save changes, without specifically stating what the changes are Does there exist a design pattern for this kind of encapsulation Deep cloning is not an option since I'm trying to write a wrapper like this to avoid doing just that. The solution of serialization should only be considered if there are no other solutions. An example of use would be var foo = state.get(); // change state state.update(); // or state.save(); client.tell(state.recentChange()); A jsfiddle snippet might help : http://jsfiddle.net/Raynos/kzKEp/ It seems like implementing an internal hash to keep track of changes is the best option. [Edit] To clarify this is actaully done on node.js on the server. The only thing that changes is that the solution can be specific to the V8 implementation.

  • MVC partial page update

    - by GB
    Hello, I have an MVC project where I have a form with fields a user can enter and save. On that same page I have a table which shows a brief listing of information that the user just saved. The problem I am having is trying to update only the table after a save and not an entire page refresh. Is this possible in jquery or MVC? If so does anyone have an example. Here is what the action in the controller looks like: public ActionResult RefreshList() { string _employeeID = Request.QueryString["empIDSearch"]; this.ViewData["coursehistorylist"] = _service.ListCoursesByEmpID(_employeeID); return View("CourseHistoryList"); } The function in the view: (and this is where I'm confused on how to update only the table) $.ajax({ url: "/Home/RefreshList", type: "POST", success: function(result) { alert("got here"); }, error: function(xhr, ajaxOptions, thrownError) { alert(xhr.status + " " + thrownError + " " + ajaxOptions); } }); Thanks.

  • How do I create an empty file in emacs?

    - by Singletoned
    How can I create an empty file from emacs, ideally from within a dired buffer? For example, I've just opened a Python module in dired mode, created a new directory, opened that in dired, and now need to add an empty __init__.py file in the directory. If I use C-x C-f __init__.py RET C-x C-s then emacs doesn't create the file because no changes have been made to it. I would have to type in the file, save it, delete my typing and then save it again for that to work. Thanks

  • Objective-C: iPad Crash When Screen Shot Button Clicked

    - by SeongHo
    OK, i am making a Coloring app and it has a "Save" button that will take the screen shot of the view where the drawing is. I have 6 images to color. In the intro page there 6 buttons, each will link you to a particular coloring page. All are working well including the "Save" button except for one. All coloring views has the same contents and functions but in one image, it crashes the iPad whenever i clicked the "Save" button. Here's some of my codes: On Button Click: [self saveScreenshotToPhotosAlbum]; camFlash = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768)]; [camFlash setBackgroundColor:[UIColor whiteColor]]; [camFlash setAlpha:0.0]; [cbHolder addSubview:camFlash]; [cbHolder bringSubviewToFront:camFlash]; [UIView beginAnimations:@"Flash-On" context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:0.2]; [UIView setAnimationRepeatAutoreverses:NO]; [camFlash setAlpha:1.0]; [UIView commitAnimations]; NSString *soundPath = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"flash" ofType:@"wav"]; AVAudioPlayer *flashSFX = [[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:soundPath] error:NULL]; flashSFX.volume = 0.5; flashSFX.numberOfLoops = 0; self->camFlashSFX = flashSFX; if ([flashSFX currentTime] != 0) [flashSFX setCurrentTime:0]; [flashSFX play]; [self performSelector:@selector(removeFlash) withObject:nil afterDelay:0.2]; Remove Flash: - (void) removeFlash { [camFlash removeFromSuperview]; } For the screenshot: - (UIImage*)captureView { UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(CGSizeMake(1024, 768)); CGContextRef context = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); [cbHolder.layer renderInContext:context]; UIImage *img = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); return img; } - (void)saveScreenshotToPhotosAlbum { UIImageWriteToSavedPhotosAlbum([self captureView], nil, nil, nil); } This one is for the button that will show the coloring page: uc4 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"tpUncolored1.png"]]; [uc4 setUserInteractionEnabled:YES]; [uc4 setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768)]; [cbHolder addSubview:uc4]; clrd4 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"tpColored1.png"]]; [clrd4 setUserInteractionEnabled:YES]; [clrd4 setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768)]; [cbHolder addSubview:clrd4]; [UIView beginAnimations:@"fabe-out" context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.5]; [clrd4 setAlpha:0.0]; [UIView commitAnimations]; [self performSelector:@selector(cb4) withObject:nil afterDelay:1.5];
