I have searched the Interwebs for it for a long time and even the official one has a very poor documentation for beginners. It looks like you have to be a Facebook developer to work with them.     I've been given the task of working with SAML to implement an SSO solution between my company and a third party provider. My only issue is that I can't seem to find how to implement SAML in C# 2.0. I've been able to find a few examples for .Net 3.0 and 3.5, but none for 2.9 (and the classes they use don't appear to be available in 2.0). Does anyone know of any oline examples using SAML and C# 2.0?

I imagine I will need to use a cross platform communication framework that can support named pipes (or other in memory communication), what is the best choice?     Hi, i have a small problem. Im using the ASP.NET Xml control and want to pass it a url to a rss feed and a stylesheet - so that i can style the rss myself on my website. When applying the full web path to the xml control (http://www.myserver.com/myfeed.rss) i get an exception telling me that the document source is not a valid virtual path. What am i doing wrong? I would hate to download the file before showing it...

    How can I protect a ClickOnce deployed application with a password? Do I have to change the IIS settings of the web or is there a way to do it programmatically? I'm using Visual Studio 2005 (.NET 2.0). If I have to use web credentials, are auto-updates of the application still possible? Would be great if you could provide some sample code or detailed instructions for administering IIS. Thank you!

  • ASP.NET Compiled vs Uncompiled DB qualifiers

    We have an ASP.NET application that uses SQL statements, where table names are unqualified. When compiled, it works fine, but when uncompiled, it complains and errors out, saying these tables dont' exist. (Qualified name looks like Select * from MyDatabase.mySchema.MyTable ; Unqualified like Select * from MyTable) If you try these queries on the database, by yourself, it will take only the qualified names. What's going on? I thought Compiled vs Uncompiled apps should perform the same way codewise.

    I would like to know the number of users logged into my ASP.NET 2.0 application. Points to be considered: 1) Simplest way would be to use Application or Cache object to have the counts on Session start or end. However this would fail if there is a worker process recycle. Wouldn't it? 2) Should't make a difference whether the session is inproc/state server managed/ or SQL server managed. 3) Should preferably be seamless to a web-farm architecture.

    Hello, I am creating some cookies in my ASP.NET application. These cookies expire 10 minutes after they have been created. I follow the approach described on MSDN as shown here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httpcookie.expires.aspx My question is, when a cookie "expires", what happens? Does the browser automatically delete the cookie? Is it our responsibility as developers to remove the cookies if they exist and have expired? Thank you,
