  • Existing parsers in c# (BSD license or similar)

    I am looking for parsers (in C#) for a bunch of formats. (PHP, ASP, some XML based formats, HTML,...pretty much anything I can get my hands on.) The purpose is to separate the text from the code and do some edits without messing up the code. I had a look at ANTLR, but while it seems like the "right tool", there is just too much prior knowledge assumed. I have an easier time writing a parser from scratch than understanding how to "easily" generate parsers from ANTLR. (I wrote a small parser for a specific type of RTF files within a couple days, so the task is probably within my reach, but as I have no formal knowledge of parsing/lexing, I am at loss with ANTLR) Then it occurred to me that there must existing parsers for many formats, so before I start writing yet another a brand new and potentially buggy version of the wheel, I figured I would check what parsers already exist and can be reused in a commercial product. I could use parsers for just about every format in existence, so this question would be a good place to make a list of all existing free parsers written in C#, if there are any.   • Parsing secure entries XML file with jquery

    Apologies if this is elementary. I'm primarily a front end designer/dev. I have webform through a form service called wufoo. Wufoo generates a lovely XML (or json) file that can be grabed and parsed. I'm trying to grab the entries xml feed that is associated with the form and parse it via jquery to show who has entered.   • virtualenv on Windows: not over-riding installed package

    My current setup is Python 2.5/ Django 1.1.1 on Windows. I want to start using Django 1.2 on some projects, but can't use it for everything. Which is just the sort of thing I've got virtualenv for. However, I'm running into a problem I've never encountered and it's hard to Google for: installing Django 1.2 into a virtualenv has no effect for me. If I then activate the environment and do python import django django.VERSION I get "1.1.1 Final". Django is installed in the site-packages directory of my environment and the init file in the root shows that it is 1.2. But the environment falls back to 1.1.1, even if I create the environment with the --no-site-packages flag. What am I screwing up?

    Hi, I need to display a thumbnail preview of a folder full of MP4 files. So, is there a Delphi 7 component which extract a thumbnail image from MP4 files (if MP4 does contain a thumbnail image), or is there a Delphi 7 component which can extract the 1st frame from a MP4 file ? I need to extract it so I can save it to a .jpg or .png file (to be used again later on). Any ideas, Thanks.

    I'm using Entity Framework for a new project (VS 2008, .net 3.5 sp1) and "reasonably happy" with it, especially compared to dataset-based solutions. One of recurring annoyances is "Could not find file CodeGenerationSchema.xsd" exception during application startup. Exception seems to re-appear rather frequently after changes to the model. Googling gives temporary and strange workarounds for this error: Delete .suo file, or Set Options Debugging General Enable Just My Code = On May be someone have more permanent, straightforward fix or can explain the reason of this issue.
