    I want to extract some links from a XML document (links are in same format as on html pages). Now for eg a link is "http://xyz.com/start/tyu/a.html" and another is "http://ert.com/tyu/b.html" while a third link is "http://asdf.com/ghjk/c.html" From the above 3 links (which I have with me using a for clause in a FLWOR expression)...I want only the links which contain within them a string "tyu" to be selected-- I thought of using substring for this, but substring requires start and end positions to be specified- whereas in my scenario, I dont know at which position the desired string will be. How do I do substring matching in such a scenario, i.e. where exact position for occurrence of substring, is not known? I can use XQuery 1.0 for this purpose. Finally, I want to extract the link URL, as well as link text...

  • Symfony2 Theming form generated by embedded controller action

    I am generating the form in embedded controller action. And now i have faced the following problem. The Form Theming is not working in that case. So what i have: The tempalte "page.html.twig" {% block content %} {% render 'MyBundle:Widget:index' %} {% endblock %} The indexAction() creates the form and rendering another template "form.html.twig" which is normally renders a form using form_row, form_rest and so on. So, now i am trying to customize form theming, and here is my problem. When i put the code {% form_theme form _self %} in the page.html.twig, i got an error the the form variable does not exists. And its correct, the form var is created later in the embedded controller.   • why is css not being applied to this jquery anchor button?

    I must be missing something very basic in the CSS. My jQuery anchor button is functional, but it's rendering as a simple underlined label, not asa rounded-corner UI button.   • Does NASA license the software that it develops?

    NASA provides a visualization software called Panoply. There is a Credits and Acknowledgments page that acknowledges and lists the licenses of software dependencies, but provides no information about its own license. I have looked at other software produced by NASA, including the source code for GISS and can not find any information about a licence. The closest information that I can find is in the FAQ for the global climate model EdGCM Global that says the code is in the "public domain" is it standard practice at NASA to release code into the public domain? are there exceptions? Can I assume that Panoply is public domain and can be used without restriction other than than those imposed by licenses of software dependencies? Is the absence of specific permission to reuse the code a concern (this issue was raised in the answer to a separate question) How common is this practice across government agencies?

    i have some html files as part of a regular website that has been ported over to asp.net mvc.   • Learning the nuances of a language (C++)

    So I'm a recent college graduate, and I really enjoy working in C++; I worked with it a lot in school, and would like to pursue a career writing in C or C++. The problem I'm having is that I'm trying to learn the nuances of C++. I'm not talking about the basics, or even advanced concepts like templates, namespaces, etc. I'm talking about the real nitty-gritty stuff like undefined behavior and stuff like that. When I'm interviewing, and they put a bizarre piece of C++ code in front of me, and ask me what the output will be, I want to be able to nail those questions. Obviously experience is a great way to learn, but when I write code for practice, I [obviously] know what it does. Reading open-source projects have been good practice, but I find that there tends to be an enormous learning curve just understanding the organization of the code (because the projects tend to be large). So basically what I'm asking is, what should I do now?

As soon as I try to redirect the page in the preRenderView method of the bean (just uncomment the code in the method), using handleNavigation() the bean is created again in the next view instead of using the allready created instance. Considering that resources are already defined in routes.rb I was expecting it to work easily, bute somehow when I click the save button it calls the create method, instead of update, using a POST http request. Any ideas?

  • Get the entire string of a jquery DOM object

    Hi, I have had a bit of a look around and am having some difficulty solving a wee issue I am having. I basically have a string of HTML, I convert that to a JQuery DOM object so that I can easily remove all elements that have a certain class using JQuery's .remove(). I.e., var radHtml = editor.get_html(); var jqDom = $(radHtml); $(".thickbox", jqDom).remove(); editor.set_html(jqDom.html()); The only problem is that .html() only gets the first element, not the entire DOM. In reference to my code I am basically wanting radHhtml - elements with class "thickbox" (returned as string). I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this - have some html and remove all elements (in this case divs) that have a certain class (but leaving their contents). JQuery doesnt have to used, but I would like to. Any help would be much appreicated. Thanks.

    IE8 has a known bug (per connect.microsoft.com) where typing or pasting text into a TEXTAREA element will cause the textarea to scroll by itself. This is hugely annoying and shows up in many community sites, including Wikipedia. The repro is this: open the HTML below with IE8 (or use any long page on wikipedia which will exhibit the same problem until they fix it) size the browser full-screen paste a few pages of text into the TEXTAREA move the scrollbar to the middle position now type one character into the textarea Expected: nothing happens Actual: scrossing happens on its own, and the insertion point ends up near the bottom of the textarea!     I have the following RewriteRule in my .htaccess to redirect from a friendly url to my main application file: RewriteRule ^\/(.*).html$ home/www/page.php?p=$1 [L] This should send any url that points to a html page to page.php with the url as a parameter that will be parsed by the app. This works for urls that look like http://www.example.com/hello.html The problem is that I get a 404 error when the url contains a directory path, for example: http://www.example.com/category/hello.html The error reads: "File does not exist: /home/www/category" Seems it is first looking for the 'category' path instead of processing the .htaccess Any ideas how to solve this?

The absolute ones which are already in that string should not be touched, they are fine to me as they are already absolute. Can this be done by regex or other means?

  • Why can't I get the value of this text input?

    It seems simple enough, but nothing I try is working. I have a jquery ui datepicker, I use val() to get the value of that input on button click(), then log it. The click event is working. I can log a string I write myself, but when I pass console.log() the variable that stores the datepicker value...nothing. I have successfully validated my JSON at JSONLint, so I've run out of ideas as to what I might be doing wrong. Any thoughts? Update: I had the client switch the content type to application/json. Unfortunately, I'm still experiencing the exact same problem. I also updated my HTML and included the live URL I've been working with. Update 2: I just gave this a try in IE8 and it works fine. For some reason, it doesn't work in either Firefox 3.6.3 or Chrome 4.1.249.1064 (45376). I did notice a mistake with the data being returned (the developer is returning a collection of data, even for queries that will always return a single record), but it still baffles me why it doesn't work in other browsers. It might be important to note that I am working from an HTML file on my local file system. I thought it might be a XSS issue, but that doesn't explain why Flickr works.

  • JQuery fadeIn fadeOut loop issue

    I am trying to create a jQuery fadeIn fadeout effect for my page content using the code below. $(document).ready(function (){ $("#main").click(function(){ $("#content").fadeOut(800, function(){ $("#content").load("main.html", function(){ $("#content").fadeIn(800); }); }); }); $("#gallery").click(function(){ $("#content").fadeOut(800, function(){ $("#content").load("gallery.html", function(){ $("#content").fadeIn(800); }); }); }); }); So whenever a user clicks on either the main link or gallery link, the old content fades out and new content fades in. The problem I am facing is that for every link I have to repeat the same code again and again. So I tried to use a loop to simplify this but it doesn't work. Here is my code: var p = ["#main","#gallery", "#contact"]; var q = ["main.html", "gallery.html", "contact.html"]; for (i=0;i<=(p.length-1);i++){ $(p[i]).click(function(){ $("#content").fadeOut(500, function(){ $("#content").load(q[i], function(){ $("#content").fadeIn(500); }); }); }); } It works fine when I write repeat the scripts for each link but it doesn't work when I combine them in a loop. I only get the FadeOut effect and nothing happens after that. This might be a very simple issue or may be something deep into jQuery. Any hint or help is greatly appreciated. TK

Now when the page is getting submitted and new page is coming up cursor still remains to 'wait' not changing to default until mouse is moved in Firefox Here is simple html click on show button div is coming when user move mouse over the div cursor is changing as wait cursor.   • Simulating a contains If-Else using RewriteCond

    Hi! I'm trying to get my head around RewriteCond, and want to rewrite any requests either to a static html page (if it exists), or to a specific index.php (so long as the requested file doesn't exist). To illustrate the logic: if HTTP_HOST is '(www\.)?mydomain.com' if file exists: "/default/static/{REQUEST_URI}.html", then rewrite .* to /default/static/{REQUEST_URI}.html else if file exists: {REQUEST_FILENAME}, then do not rewrite else rewrite .* to /default/index.php I don't seem to have much trouble doing it when I don't need to test for the HTTP_HOST. Ultimately, this one .htaccess file will be handling requests for several domains. I know I could get around this with vhosts, but I'd like to figure out how to do it this way. Here's where I am at now: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?mydomain\.com$ [NC] RewriteCond /default/static/%{REQUEST_URI}.html -f RewriteRule . /default/static/%{REQUEST_URI}.html [L,NC] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteRule . /default/index.php [L,QSA] I'm not too familiar with some of the other flags, will any of them be of use here (like chain|C, next|N or skip|S)?     Hi, I'm aware about Google ignore most of the time, meta tag and use content. (This is not the point here) I'm working on an existing web site, not created by me. I need a quick solution, I guess with variables. The website construction: (no known template system) index.html which is presentation page with language selection index.php which embeding menu, content, footer several content pages that are embedded by index.php What I need to do only for those 2 pages welcome_en.html and welcome_fr.html (these pages are embedded so no header possible on these page) to have different page title (browser title) and different META tag.
