  • Wordpress menu issue on IE!

    So I am building a site for a client. The problem is the menu I made doesn't work on IE. Here's the site: http://robertnogueira.com You'll see that the topmost menu isn't where it is supposed to be.. I know this could be a very simple problem to fix.     So, I'm grabbing data from a sharepoint 2007 announcements list, and displaying it on another site. I need to make sure that the web part that I created is not displayed for people who don't have permissions for the site I'm getting the data from. How do I "disable" the web part if a user doesn't have permissions? I've tried this.enabled = false in the onload() event, didn't work though.

Aside from solutions like iframes, is it possible to embed a Java portlet within an ASP.NET page?   • Redirect to https login page

    I have a site that has a mix of http and https pages. Under the root of the site, one folder has all the http pages and another has all the https pages. Login is over https and sends the user to the other pages. When a session expires the forms authentication redirects to the Login page but the browser uses http and the user gets a 403 error. Is there any way to override the session timeout to send it to https?

  • Client-side Twitter API method using XMLHttpRequest?

    Does (or did) Twitter ever have a method in their API that allowed client-side HTTP requests without producing any cross-domain issues? I have a site that used the following url: http://search.twitter.com/search.json?q=from%3adaleyjem&rpp=3&page=1&callback=? It once worked, but now it doesn't. Is there something else I should be using, or do I have to make a request to my own server-side code?

    I'd like to use searchlogic's scope_procedure feature like so class MyModelObject < ActiveRecord::Base scope_procedure :my_scope_proc, lambda { |p1, p2| { :conditions => "p1 >= #{p1} AND p2 < #{p2}" }} end Then, I am doing the search: scope = MyModelObject.search(:my_scope_proc => true) scope.all The above code obviously doesn't work because I didn't pass p1 and p2 parameters to my named scope. I can't figure out how to pass parameters to the named scope.

    I have the following code in my Root htaccess file RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^paperviewmagazine.com RewriteRule (.*) http://www.paperviewmagazine.com/$1 [R=301,L] It works fine for the main site, but for my forums at /forums/ if someone misses off the www it will show the page and not redirect to the www.paperviewmagazine.com/forums/ instead. I need to force the WWW to prevent anyone from logging in by accident on the non-www as it wont have the correct cookie credentials for accessing the site at www./forums/ Can anyone help? Thanks.

I am remote from their site and do not have access to their web server. Is there something like ComScore for small sites that I can go into to check their usage statistics?

  • Solr query results using *

    I want to provide for partial matching, so I am tacking on * to the end of search queries. What I've noticed is that a search query of gatorade will return 12 results whereas gatorade* returns 7. So * seems to be 1 or many as opposed to 0 or many ... how can I achieve this? Am I going about partial matching in Solr all wrong? Thanks.

  • PODS + WordPress + User Registration

    So I have PODS installed on my wordpress site that I am developing. I need to put up a user registration system such that once the user registers, he/she can be directed to POD pages that I have created. Can I just use the default registration system that comes with wordpress and redirect users based on a default role I assign to them? I basically don't want my potential users to view any part of the admin site. Any help is appreciated.
