• How to access apache behind home router?

  Hi! I have public IP 89.103.xxx.yyy, then router and home network with 192.168.1.zz My router is set to portforward every 8056 on ip adress 192.168.1.5 (my PC), where apache is running. Apache listen is set to: Listen 127.0.0.1:80 Listen 192.168.1.5:8056 When i try: Listen 89.103.xxx.yyy:8056 I get message "unexpected end of apache" (I'm using easyphp for windows). Added: When i try to access 89.103.xxx.yyy via browser, it's prompting router request for authorization to access router web-settings. And when i try 89.103.xxx.yyy:8056, browser says that connection timed out =(

• postfix 5.7.1 Relay access denied when sending mail with cron

  Reluctant to ask because there is so much here about 'postfix relay access denied' but I cannot find my case: I use php (Zend Framework) to send emails outside my network using the Google mail server because I could not send mail outside my server (user: web). However when I sent out an email via cron (user: root, I believe), still using ZF, using the same mail config/credentials, I get the message: '5.7.1 Relay access denied' I guess I need to know one of two things: 1. How can I use the google smtp server from cron 2. What do I need to change in my config to send mail using my own server instead of google Though the answer to 2. is the more structural solution I assume, I am quite happy with an answer to 1. as well because I think Google is better at server maintaince (security/spam) than I am.   Direct Question: I want to enable Perl to send emails. What package(s) should I install to setup a simplistic email server: no need for incoming, only outgoing. I can forward through gmail's SMTP if that's best? Background: I am programmer with a nightly build script written in Perl. I would like to email myself the results of my nightly builds (especially if there's an error). I've read about the perl package Mail::Sendmail briefly, but if something else is more appropriate, please tell me!! I tried the simple aptget install sendmail, but that doesn't seem to work. • How can I display and log PHP errors on IIS7?

  We're running PHP 5.2.5 on an IIS 7 Server and we're having problems making PHP errors visible... At the moment whenever we have a PHP error the server sends back a 500 error with the message "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." This might be a good setting for production websites but it's rather annoying on a development server... ;-) I have tried configuring php.ini to display errors to the screen as well as log them to a specific folder but it seems that the Server catches all errors before and prevents and handling by PHP... Does someone know what we have to do to make IIS display PHP errors on screen? Any links, tipps or tutorials on the subject would be appreciated!

• BCM 2007 not opening contacts...

  Business Contact Manager for Outlook (2007) is refusing to open contacts. This problem appeared this morning on every machine (Windows XP SP3) on our network. The contact list does populate as normal, and contacts can be printed from the context menu, but the form that displays the contact information does not display, and no error message is thrown. I have turned on logging for BCM in the help menu, but nothing is being generated (or, leastways, I cannot find it anywhere). The SQL services appear to have started as normal. Anyone come across this before I take a deep breath and go with my boss' suggestion of "just reboot the server"? Any other information you need? Thanks.

  Similar to this related question, I came home and found that my media center pc showed this message, Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press Enter Before I do anything with the (defective?) harddisk, what are the best first steps I can take to fix this with a minimum of damage? Normally the machine (Win Vista) is always on and never reboots by itself (Windows auto-updates are disabled too). Something must have caused it to reboot, though I'm sure we didn't have a power outage. The machine can't reboot on that disk, but it will boot on another disk I just plugged in for testing. I haven't changed anything, or even touched the machine, for several days, and it has been running fine until now. I did replace the power supply some weeks ago, because the old one suddenly stopped working. It has been working fine with the replacement PSU.

  TRADACOMS is an initial standard for EDI. Predominantly used in the retail sector of United Kingdom. This is similar to EDIFACT messaging system, involving ecs file for translation and validation of messages. The slight difference between EDIFACT and TRADACOMS is, 1. TRADACOMS is a simpler version than EDIFACT 2. There is no Functional Acknowledgment in TRADACOMS 3. Since it is just a business message to be sent to the trading partner, the various reference numbers at STX, BAT, MHD level need not be persisted in B2B as there is no Business logic gets derived out of this. Considering this, in AS11 B2B, this can be handled out of the box using Positional Flat file document plugin. Since STX, BAT segments which define the envelope details , and part of transaction, has to be sent from the back end application itself as there is no Document protocol parameters defined in B2B. These would include some of the identifiers like SenderCode, SenderName, RecipientCode, RecipientName, reference numbers. Additionally the batching in this case be achieved by sending all the messages of a batch in a single xml from backend application, containing total number of messages in Batch as part of EOB (Batch trailer )segment. In the case of inbound scenario, we can identify the document based on start position and end position of the incoming document.   I use a HP G62. I am unable to use my recovery disk to restore to factory settings. I had no problems earlier until I created an additional partition which I hear might have changed my hard disk to dynamic. How do I get back to 'normal'? I don't mind formatting the disk. I just want my factory OS back. .............. i get an error message at about 69 percent telling me that the restoration process failed. I'm using the factory image disks i created using the hp recovery manager. I have tried formating the hard drive clean and then restoring woth the cd, it didn't work. I was always able to restore before i created that partition.

  I have an instance of an application running in the cloud on Amazon EC2 instance, and I need to connect it from my local Ubuntu. It works fine on one of local ubuntu and also laptop. I got message "Permission denied (publickey)" when trying to access SSH to EC2 on another local Ubuntu. It's so strange to me. I'm thinking some sort of problems with security settings on the Amazon EC2 which has limited IPs access to one instance or certificate may need to regenerate. Does anyone know a solution?

After investigating a little (with google's help) I found : find: File system loop detected; /var/named/chroot/var/named' is part of the same file system loop as/var/named'. What I don't know is what to do next. I found this on centos.org : and see if the inode numbers are the same (they shouldn't be). • IE8 Windows 7 (64bit) security certificate problem

  Hi, We have just received some new computers for use in the office (Dell Vostro). They seem to work fine in the main. When we use IE8 to go to some web pages such as yahoo mail it tells us: “There is a problem with this websites security certificate” If we have a look at the details it says: “This certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certification authority” This however works correctly in Firefox. I don't understand why I should get such an error message, should this not just work? I don't think its anything to do with the certificate itself as this is happening on www.yahoo.co.uk and other commercial (amazon I think?) sites. I think there is something off with the PCs setup. The PC has Windows 7 (64 bit) and Norton Internet Security installed. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks

  Hi, I'd like to parse logfiles. Is the logfile format of syslogd the same for all systems? On my system (Debian Lenny), it's: Mar 7 04:22:40 my-host-name ... (I'm not much interested in the ... part) Can I rely on this? And is there maybe some more-or-less official description? The manpage of syslogd describes the config format, but not the logfile format. Ideally, the description would give the fields official names like (date, time, host, entry) or (datetime, hostname, message). Maybe additionally some regular expressions. I'd like to use the names and regexes in my script, to avoid an unnecessary deviation from the standard, and to make sure, that the script runs everywhere. Thanks Chris

I accomplished this by adding the following lines to the virtual host for www.mydomain.com on port 80 in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^80$ RewriteRule ^/login(.*)$ https://%{SERVER_NAME}/login$1 [L,R] RewriteLog "/var/log/apache2/rewrite.log" Now, I want to restrict using SSL for www.mydomain.com. That means, whenever someone accessed https://www.mydomain.com, I want him to be redirected to http://www.mydomain.com (for performance reasons). I tried this by adding the following lines to the virtual host of www.mydomain.com on port 443 in /etc/apache2/sites-available/default-ssl: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^443$ RewriteRule ^/(.*)$ http://%{SERVER_NAME}/$1 [L,R] RewriteLog "/var/log/apache2/rewrite.log" But when I now try to access www.mydomain.com/login, I get an error message that the server has caused to many redirects. That does make sense. Obviously, the two RewriteRules are playing ping-pong against each other. How could I work around this?

• Partimage and autocheck problem when restoring Windows XP from image

  I'm trying to create an image of Windows XP and clone it to several partitions on the same hard drive using Partimage. I seem to be running into a problem when I restore the image onto another partition - when I boot into the OS from the partition I just restored, it brings up this message during the boot sequence: autochk program not found - skipping autocheck, and then after this, the OS reboots the PC and the whole process repeats itself in an infinite loop. After doing some Google search, it is suggested that this loop was caused by the partition being hidden or the mountmgr.sys file is missing. I checked my configuration and verified that this was not the case. I'm just wondering: Has anyone else experienced this and is there a solution for it? Is this what happens when you try to restore the image to a different partition on the same hard disk or is Partimage itself the problem? Should I be trying out a different partition cloning software?

  Hello I didn't find the answer in Clonezilla's site/mailing list archives. Maybe someone has already seen this issue and knows how to recover from it: On a test host, using www.partedmagic.com, I created two partitions: One to hold an OS I wish to use for testing (/sda1), and a second partition to hold images (/sda2) After trying out Windows7, I used CloneZilla to restore an XPSP3 image, but I get the following error message when rebooting: "Reboot and select proper boot device" Could it be that Clonezilla didn't save/restore the MBR? Gparted didn't let me set a partition as "active", so it could also be this, but I have no idea. Thank you for any help.

• Awstats messaging non existant user causing exim4 to go nuts

  I've taken over managing a server set up by someone else now uncontactable, while managing to work out most faults / changes needed this one is stumping me. Awstats is running on the machine and sending messages via exim4 to a user every time it runs an update. The user account has been deleted and so the exim4 main log files are filling up with message delivery errors, which firstly hinders meaningful log analysis for anything else and secondly uses up quite a lot of space (it grew to 22GB unattended, panic!) I've been through all the conf files in /etc/awstats and can't seem to find any mention of this user account. Google just turns up results about how to use awstats to parse exim4 log files. So the questions is where is this setting (on debian) likely to be? Cheers in advance
