Please could you let me know if there are any performance issues with using mysql on windows xp. The mysql serves over 10 client server apps, which query the database simultaneously
My idea is to make an application start automatically when a message from a specific user reaches the inbox of the mobile . For example if my friend sends some numbers to my mobile, the sms has to be read and validated first and then calculator ( inbuilt mobile application) has to be triggered and process the numbers from the message. Please help me with the above query.
I am using mysql_fetch_assoc($query), one of the bit field returns out to be , which is supposedly to be true.
The problem is that I also need to output this to xml and it's an illegal xml character.
the charset for the db table is utf-8. why does this happen?
I used this query URL
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=from+A+to+B&output=kml
,which is given in the answer to this question. But after I tried it, it doesn't work with coordinates. It works with address names tho. I guess I could use google's geocoding to get the addresses first. But I wonder if there is another way to get the walking distance between two coordinates?
I have done
Dim qd as querydef
set qd = Querydefs("MyQuery")
set qd.sql = "..."
In debug qd.sql has been updated but the physical MyQuery still contains the old sql.
How to update this physical query ?
i am building a simple PM for my personal website where a user can join and send message to the registered users on my website,
i am stuck in grouping and selecting latest user (by latest msg time) in INBOX page
my table :
id msg_from msg_to msg date in_del out_del
i want to show latest user's id each in a group
here is my SQL query :
SELECT ttalk.id, ttalk.msg_from, users.first_name, users.last_name
FROM ttalk
INNER JOIN users ON ttalk.msg_from = users.id
WHERE ttalk.msg_to = '$_SESSION[user_id]' AND ttalk.in_del='0'
GROUP BY ttalk.msg_from DESC LIMIT 500
Thanks in advance :-)
I want to get file size I'm doing this:
my $filename=$query->param("upload_file");
my $filesize = (-s $filename);
print "Size: $filesize ";`
Yet it is not working. Note that I did not upload the file. I want to check its size before uploading it. So to limit it to max of 1 MB.
I have a column called "menu_order" which has no default value. When I select the contents of this column using the following select statement:
SELECT * FROM categories ORDER BY menu_order ASC
It lists the category items that have nothing as their menu order first and then the one's that have 1's and 2's and 3's. Is there any way to prevent SQL from take nothing to come before numbers when I am trying to list things in order?
So for example, if I have:
cat_name | menu_order
----------------------
Lunch | 1
Dinner |
And I perform my query, the output should be:
Lunch Dinner
Not:
Dinner Lunch
Hi,
I am using group by ID WITH ROLLUP in my mysql query. The thing is I want to store these totals in a variable in php. Is there any way to do that?
Thanks.
I have a music collection and use sphinx for searching in it. Search mode is SPH_MATCH_PHRASE, but when I search f.e. for "B'Day" album - sphinx cuts "'" and searching by "Day" query. How can I force sphinx to search by exact phrase without filtering any symbols?
I'm using Doctrine 2 with my Zend Framework application and a typical query result could yield a million (or more) search results.
I want to use Zend_Paginator in line with this result set. However, I don't want to return all the results as an array and use the Array adapter as this would be inefficient, instead I would like to supply the paginator the total amount of rows then and array of results based on limit/offset amounts.
Is this doable using the Array adapter or would I need to create my own pagination adapter?
I'm querying a view and filtering the results with a column named status. I'd like to query it so I can search for rows with different status, by using the IN operator as I'd do in SQL.
As so:
SELECT * FROM VIEW WHERE Status in ('....', '.....')
How can I achieve this?
Currently I have the following query...
SELECT id,
LOWER(title) as title,
LOWER(sub_title) as sub_title
FROM ebay_archive_listing
WHERE MATCH(title, sub_title) AGAINST ("key" IN BOOLEAN MODE)
However it is not finding rows where the title contains the word "key". "key" is generated dynamically based on a set of keywords, so sometimes it contains + and - symbols.
I'm using libxml2 for SOAP-Actions in an iPhone App.
The big problem is that i want send an SQL-Statement with
NSString *query = @"SELECT test FROM database WHERE test = \"string\""
But libxml2 converts the qotes " into "
Any ideas how to prevent this?
If I have a table like this:
pkey age
---- ---
1 8
2 5
3 12
4 12
5 22
I can "group by" to get a count of each age.
select age,count(*) n from tbl group by age;
age n
--- -
5 1
8 1
12 2
22 1
What query can I use to group by age ranges?
age n
----- -
1-10 2
11-20 2
20+ 1
I want to get file size I'm doing this:
my $filename=$query->param("upload_file");
my $filesize = (-s $filename) ;

I have the below query
Select
case upper(device_model)
when 'IPHONE' then 'iOS - iPhone'
when 'IPAD' then 'iOS - iPad'
when 'IPOD TOUCH' then 'iOS - iPod Touch'
Else 'Android'
End As Device_Model,
count(create_dtime) as Installs_Oct17_Oct30
From Player
Where Create_Dtime >= To_Date('2012-Oct-17','yyyy-mon-dd')
And Create_Dtime <= To_Date('2012-Oct-30','yyyy-mon-dd')
Group By Device_Model
Order By Device_Model
This spits out multiple rows of results that read "Android"....I would like there to be only 4 results rows, one for each case....so it comes out like this:
Device_Model Installs_Oct17_Oct30
Android 987
iOS - iPad 12003
iOS - iPhone 8563
iOS- iPod Touch 3482

I'm trying to figure out how to use Zend_Db_Table_Abstract correctly. I want to return just the name column from my query. Can you please explain what's wrong with the following code?
class Model_DbTable_Foo extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract
{
protected $_name = 'foo';
public function getFooById($id) {
$select = $this->select(true)->columns('name')->where('id=' . $id);
$row = $this->fetchRow($select);
print_r($row->toArray());
}
}

When I do an XMLHttpRequest, I always get redirected automatically to the URL (presumably by the headers of the response). For example, if I query "http://www.stackoverflow.com" I will be redirected to "http://stackoverflow.com".
How can I get that final URL? (http://stackoverflow.com/ in the example)
I checked in the response headers but I cannot seem to find it. (I just used the GET/POST method not HEAD).
Trying to understand S3...How do you limit access to a file you upload to S3? For example, from a web application, each user has files they can upload, but how do you limit access so only that user has access to that file? It seems like the query string authentication requires an expiration date and that won't work for me, is there another way to do this?
Can I have a SQL query to get the data from columna in tableA whose values don't start with 'f' ?
For example:
select * from tableA where columnA
where values don't start with letter 'F'.
I have a YQL query that extracts data from a page and returns it to my script as JSON. The JSON is huge, and as such, here's my question:
Is JSON array parsable? So that I can iterate over the entire JSON structure?
