    I am developing a Delphi application that needs to pick up the rows from a period of work and convert them to a single XML file in order to upload to a 3rd party web-service. Is there any component or library available to do that? If not, what is the best approach of code to build that DB2XML conversor? I noticed that most XML questions are about how to convert it to another type of data. Note: the database will be MySQL or Firebird.

  • FLEX: How to know when a dialog created throw PopUpManager Closes

    Is there a easy way to figure out consistently when a Dialog closes that has been created through PopUpManager. I would have suspected some type of message or callback mechanism, but there does not seem to be. In one case I use the WindowTitle component and event that only fires the CLOSE if someone presses the close and give no message when the dialog actually closes.

    i would like the label and message to be on the left of the icon....i would also like the icon to be right-aligned what is the best way to do this?   • Detecting mouse enter/exit events anywhere on JPanel

    Hi, Basically there is a JPanel on which I want to know when the mouse enters the area of the JPanel and exits the area of the JPanel. So I added a mouse listener, but if there are components on the JPanel and the mouse goes over one of them it is detected as an exit on the JPanel, even though the component is on the JPanel. I was wondering whether anyone knows any way to solve this problem without doing something like adding listeners onto all components on the JPanel?

Would be a good reference to learn some best practices. I'm talking about an application that you would also use in production.     I'm trying to write a Postgres trigger such that when a configuration table is updated, a backend component is notified and can handle the change. I know that Oracle has the concept of a web/HTTP trigger, where you can execute an HTTP GET from the Oracle instance itself to a URL that can then handle the request at the application layer. I'm wondering if Postgres (v. 9.0.5) has the same feature, or comes with anything similar (and, subsequently, how to set it up/configure it)?

I keep getting an error that says that a reference could not be added and to please check if the is accessible, a valid assembly or COM component. I have no C++ experience, though I would like to use the functionality. Right now I'm using Process from the .NET framework to call lame.exe and do stuff, but I'd like to know if there's another way.

  • Debug.Assert Appears in Release Mode

    We all know that Debug.Assert will not be compiled into the dlls when compiled in release mode. But for some reason Debug.Assert did appear in the release version of a component I wrote. I suspect that I might have mess up my csproject setting. Any idea why Debug.Assert appears in release mode? P/S: I have double checked to make sure that I was really compiling in release mode before asking this question.

I've tried using "proxy" which works great if I just want a single instance (in the same way as an anonymous inner class). However I'd really like a named class so that I can generate an arbitrary number of instances. What's the recommended way of doing this?

However, if we take the programming language component out of the equation, what Cassandra API provides the highest level of abstraction? Definition of "level of abstraction" in this context: An API providing a lot of extra goodies such as index handling, etc would be considered being at a higher abstraction layer than a bare bones "close to Thrift" API.
