• Can I read an Outlook (2003/2007) PST file in C#?

  Is it possible to read a .PST file using C#? I would like to do this as a standalone application, not as an Outlook addin (if that is possible). If have seen other SO questions similar to this mention MailNavigator but I am looking to do this programmatically in C#. I have looked at the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook namespace but that appears to be just for Outlook addins. LibPST appears to be able to read PST files, but this is in C (sorry Joel, I didn't learn C before graduating). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! EDIT: Thank you all for the responses! So I was thinkingif we could come up with a small script or tool that could be used to periodically throw up a reminder and force the user to update the comments. This is for a .NeET 3.5 SP1 project. When I add the attribute to my web.config, I get the warning The 'optimizeCompilations' attribute is not declared. Does this work for the ASP.NET Development Server? How can I test that it's working?

  My application needs to backup and restore .sdf files. There is a single dataSet the the whole application and some bindngSource and table adapters on forms using this same dataset. Just for a sake of test I tryied to copy the .sdf in runtime for a backup folder and back to restore it and I got my application not finding the file like it was not there anymore. How should I manage connections to open and close the database since the dataSet do it automaticaly at begin and end of my application?

EDIT: I'd also like to match a blank string.

• Spring Security - Persistent Remember Me Issue

  I've been trying to track down why Spring Security isn't creating the Spring Security remember me cookie (SPRING_SECURITY_REMEMBER_ME_COOKIE). At first glance, the logs make it seem like the login is failing, but the login is actually successful in the sense that if I navigate to a page that requires authentication I am not redirected back to the login page. However, the logs appear to be saying the login credentials are invalid. I'm using Spring 3.0.1, Spring Security 3.0.1, and Google App Engine 1.3.1. Any ideas as to what is going on?   Hi all- I'm getting some really bizarre stuff while trying to merge multiple data frames. Help! I need to merge a bunch of data frames by the columns 'RID' and 'VISCODE'. However, when I use larger subsets of my data, they both break down and give me the following error: Error in match.names(clabs, names(xi)) : names do not match previous names. The really weird thing is that using this works: dataList = list(demog[1:50,], neurobat[1:50,], apoe[1:50,], mmse[1:50,], faq[1:47, ]) And using this fails: dataList = list(demog[1:50,], neurobat[1:50,], apoe[1:50,], mmse[1:50,], faq[1:48, ]) As far as I can tell, there is nothing special about row 48 of faq. Likewise, using this works: dataList = list(demog[1:50,], neurobat[1:50,], apoe[1:50,], mmse[1:50,], pdx[1:47, ]) And using this fails: dataList = list(demog[1:50,], neurobat[1:50,], apoe[1:50,], mmse[1:50,], pdx[1:48, ]) Row 48 in faq and row 48 in pdx have the same values for RID and VISCODE, the same value for EXAMDATE (something I'm not matching on) and different values for ID (another thing I'm not matching on). Besides the matching RID and VISCODE, I see anything special about them. They don't share any other variable names. This same scenario occurs elsewhere in the data without problems. To add icing on the complication cake, this doesn't even work: dataList = list(demog[1:50,], neurobat[1:50,], apoe[1:50,], mmse[1:50,], faq[1:48, 2:3]) where columns 2 and 3 are "RID" and "VISCODE". 48 isn't even the magic number because this works: dataList = list(demog[1:500,], neurobat[1:500,], apoe[1:500,], mmse[1:457,]) while using mmse[1:458, ] fails. I can't seem to come up with test data that causes the problem. Has anyone had this problem before? Any better ideas on how to merge? Thanks for your help! Jasmine

Hover over the first row, second column to see the effect. There are a couple of things I'm trying to accomplish: Make the activation area for the hover wider, so hovering over some space to the right of "Status 6" calls up the tooltip (say, 100-150px total width of target). At first, when I was adding "display:block" to a.tooltip, IE was terminating on hover. I resolved that by removing width:14em from a.tooltip:hover. Styling the width of the hover event + display.block on the a element does BAD things. Change the width of the tooltip without changing the width of the column/parent element (so the tooltip can be wider than itso it takes up less vertical space). Options for making the tooltips change width with its contents up to a max width, at which point the lines wrap would be awesome, but probably impossible in IE. As soon as I put a width in place on a.tooltip, the portion of the tooltip that is above other rows than the hover source let text show through from those cells. Remove the width and you'll see that the text doesn't show through any more. The hover effect applies to the entire tooltip, so if the tooltip covers 3 rows, while moving the mouse downward, the next 2 rows won't activate because the cursor hasn't left the tooltip. Can the hover effect apply only to the initial element hovered over and not the tooltip itself so moving the mouse downward will show each tooltip in each row? It would be nice if the links could never be activated (they can't take the focus). I don't know if that's possible. Too bad IE doesn't support hover on any elements but links. Note: soon IE6 will be abandoned in favor of IE8. If it makes a big difference, then IE8 can be the target browser instead. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure you want to run this software ?", and it also said : "Publisher : Unknown Publisher".   I'm unit testing my routes in ASP.NET MVC 2. I'm using MSTest and I'm using areas as well. When I call AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas() however, it throws this exception: System.InvalidOperationException: System.InvalidOperationException: This method cannot be called during the application's pre-start initialization stage.. OK, so I reckon I can't call it from my class initializer. But when can I call it? I don't have an Application_Start in my test obviously.
