  • visual studio crashes when i view a javascript file

    i start up an existing solution, click on a javascript file, the file opens up in the IDE for a few seconds and then visual studio disappears. This is consistent and reproducible. I saw this patch for KB958502 and installed it but it didn't seem to do anything. Any suggestions on how i can proceed as this is completely stopping my development here.

  • Automate downloads from password protected website

    I need some help with a work project I have been assigned. At the moment we manually go to the site, logon and then download 2 excel files from a supplier's website every month. The files are then loaded into SQL. We want to automate this process. Now the loading of the files into SQL I can do, but I am not sure how I can automate logging onto the website entering my user details and collecting the files. I mostly deal with SQL and have very little .NET experience, so any code samples would be most appreciated.

  • Visual Studio Default Open File Action

    I am using Visual Studio 2008 with C#. Is there a way to set the default editor for a class file containing a DataTable derived class? Whenever I double click on one of these classes to open the file VS attempts to open a component designer. Since my class isn't compatible with that editor this is a rather useless default. I would like these files to open up in the normal code editor.

Well i want to replace item_type=weapon at second line with item_type=armor. If I actually give the entire path in C# then I am able to retrieve the XML values, but if I give the project path then it is not getting the values. Right now I have a function that finds all links to PDF files (i.e. the href ends with '.pdf') and appends the string '[pdf]' to the innerText.     I want to use file_get_contents to implement a proxy so I can do ajax cross domain requests. Querystring will be used to supply the URL to file_get_contents. Now the problem is people can muck around with the qurystring in order to read local files on the server. I dont wnat this. Can someone get me a function to sinitize the querystring in order only to accept urls and not local files: ie: ?url=http://google.com.au - OK ?url=./passwords.txt - Not OK

  • How to copy files without slowing down my app?

    I have a bunch of little files in my assets which need to be copied to the SD-card on the first start of my App. The copy code i got from here placed in an IntentService works like a charm. However, when I start to copy many litte files, the whole app gets increddible slow (I'm not really sure why by the way), which is a really bad experience for the user on first start. As I realised other apps running normal in that time, I tried to start a child process for the service, which didn't work, as I can't acess my assets from another process as far as I understood. Has anybody out there an idea how a) to copy the files without blocking my app b) to get through to my assets from a private process (process=":myOtherProcess" in Manifest) or c) solve the problem in a complete different way Edit: To make this clearer: The copying allready takes place in a seperate thread (started automaticaly by IntentService). The problem is not to separate the task of copying but that the copying in a dedicated thread somehow affects the rest of the app (e.g. blocking to many app-specific resources?) but not other apps (so it's not blocking the whole CPU or someting) Edit2: Problem solved, it turns out, there wasn't really a problem.     I get this exception when I want to open a keystore java.io.FileNotFoundException: \resources\keystore (The system cannot find the path specified) Basically my application is like src/ client.java server.java resources/ keystore truststore And the faulty code : System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore","/resources/keystore"); System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword", "ebanking"); I also tried ./resources/keystore, resources/keystore, \\resources\\keystore etc.. My application is supposed to work in an executable jar so no absolute path technique please.
