  • Sharing session (or cookie) using Grails acegi plugin

    Is it possible for two different Grails project, also having different domains, to share a session/cookie? Let's say I have 2 sites: www.mycompany.com, and, www.othercompany.com. Assume that both sites are having same domains, and same database and records too. What I want to know is if this code: authenticateService.userDomain() or even the authenticateService.isLoggedIn() will behave and return exactly the same object/result whether it is called in either of the site. Basically, what we need is a solution for sharing/identifying logged in user between two different sites. Need more details on how to implement this using acegi 0.5.2 and grails 1.2.1. Hoping for any leads on this. Thank you.

    I'm buiding an HTML/jQuery site where almost all the content comes from remote JSON data. I'm having trouble coming up with a good way to store and access the data in the future (scope-wise). Currently, I've written a jQuery plugin that gets the JSONP data when the site loads. But I have other functions and jQuery plugins that need to access this data. Where should this data be stored so other functions and plugins can access it? Should it be a global variable? If it matters, this site will only run on the iPad and the back-end of the site is in Rails.

    Have a text field in the jsp which shows and takes input for ftp Url like below : ftp://ftplog:*****@10.203.291.177/abc/DS/Simulator/B11/B11/L2 The password field above is masked . Now when user tries the edit say ftp to sftp or File Path , He should re-type the password too , other wise What I will be getting in server is only "*" . Can somebody suggest the best way of validating this . It has a lot of test cases that has to be taken care of . Thanks .

I have an class with a number of member variables (system, zone, site, ...) public sealed class Cello { public String Company; public String Zone; public String System; public String Site; public String Facility; public String Process; //... } I have an array of objects of this class. private Cello[] m_cellos = null; // ... I need to know whether the array contains objects with the same site but different systems, zones or companies since such a situation would be illegal. I have various other checks to make but they are all along similar lines. The Array class has a number of functions that look promising but I am not very up on defining 'key selector' functions and things like that. Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated. --- Alistair.

    I have a php application that sometimes creates two lightboxes on the same page - the result is the last one to be called is the only one shown. How might I ensure that they show one after anohter? I call a facebox at the bottom of the page like so: jQuery.facebox('blah'); Currently multiple facebox's are called like so: jQuery.facebox('blah');jQuery.facebox('blah2'); But only blah2 will ever show. I need to wait for 'blah' to close before calling 'blah2'...

    I am writing an application with RequireJS and Knockout JS. The application includes an extension to knockout that adds ko.protectedObservable to the main knockout object. I would like this to always be available on the require'd knockout object, and not only when I specify it in the dependencies. I could concat the files together, but that seems that it should be unnecessary. Additionally, I can put knockout-protectedObservable as a dependency for knockout in the requirejs shim configuration, but that just leads to a circular dependency and it all fails to load.     Hello, I've built an mvc application which contains some jquery code. When I run the app from my ide, everything works perfectly. When I publish to the server and open the page, the jquery does not work. I get object expected errors. Could this be due to my file mappings? here is a sample of my mapping in the app - <script type="text/javascript" href="../../Scripts/jquery-1.3.2.js"></script> I published the app to iis7 successfully, but the jquery is broken. I did publish to an application within an existing web site. Any thoughts?

    Hi, I'm looking to create an extension for the leading browsers (firefox, safari and ie). Its rather simple, and I'm looking for the most efficient way to go about this. I need to get the hostname of the current site the user is on, and if it matches a certain parameter(eg, mysite.org), I'll need to append to the link some extra data and refresh to the new link. What is the simplest way to go about this? (I don't want to go in the direction of a bookmarklet - since this would require the user to click.   • Need generated UML diagrams for C++ plugin modules

    I need various UML diagrams (sequence/collaboration, class, package, and system component) from some C++ files. However, these files are plugins in a larger programming framework. I have tried generating UML from Rational Rose 7 (2002 version), but I am not very experienced and I am unsure if RR simply cannot produce the diagram, I am doing something wrong, or the diagrams are not rendering correctly because the source files are plugins instead of standalone programs. I have also tried Star Modeler with little success and there seem to be no tutorials on how to generate these models. Is there a simple, bulletproof way to get UML diagrams for C++ files?
