Issues with simple jQuery image gallery with Colorbox plugin

I'm putting together an image gallery for an ecommerce site and wanting to use colorbox to launch larger images. My problem is that image launched in colorbox stays as the first one launched and should reflect the image shown as img#bigpic - the link to the image does appear to be updating correctly. Passing data to a jQuery click() function

Hi I have a simple span like so <span class="action removeAction">Remove</span> This span is within a table, each row has a remove span. And then I call a URL using AJAX when that span is clicked. The AJAX event needs to know the ID of the object for that row? What is the best way of getting that ID into the click function? I thought I could do something like this <span class="action removeAction" id="1">Remove</span> But an ID should not start with a number? Right? Then I thought I could do <span class="action removeAction" id="my1">Remove</span> Then just strip the 'my' part from the ID, but that just seems Yuk! How to open a file and remove the last line?

I am looking to open up a file, grab the last line in the file where the line = "?", which is the closing tag for a php document. Than I am wanting to append data into it and add back in the "?" to the very last line. I've been trying a few approaches, but I'm not having any luck. Here's what I got so far, as I am reading from a zip file. It wait for EOF but I can't send it because if I use out.close(); or skt.shutdownOutput(); I close Socket and I must keep alive this connection. I can't send '\0' becouse I get Parse Error in the server. How can I do? Can I "close" output stream without close socket? RESOLVED I've created new class XMLStreamOutput and XMLStreamInput with advanced Stream gesture.

Hi all, i have a set of php function that i want to call on different events mostly onclick with jquery async (ajax). So when that function finishes i get an array which contains IDs and Names. I echo the names but i want the ID for reference so when i click on the echoed name i can call an other php function with parameter the ID of the name... How do i get rid of the switch statement?? How do i call properly php functions and pass params to it??? How can i save this IDs so when i click on an item with that id an other php function is called?? Plz feel free to ask any question, any answer is welcome :)

Hi, my xml document looks somewhat like that (Values are both xsl:hexBinary): <Offsets> <Offset> <Name>ErrorOffset</Name> <Value>DD</Value> </Offset> <Offset> <Name>OtherOffset</Name> <Value>FF</Value> </Offset> </Offsets> <Value> <Name>Error1</Name> <Code>01</Code> </Value> <Value> <Name>Error2</Name> <Code>02</Code> <Offset>ErrorOffset</Offset> </Value> now i want to transform this to a new xml file: <Value> <Name>Error1</Name> <Code>01</Code> </Value> <Value> <Name>Error2</Name> <Code>DF</Code> </Value> All that should happen is adding <Offset> to the basic <Value>. But plain + returns NaN and sum() expects only one parameter. XSLT and XPATH are quite nice, but it goes on my nerves that easy operations like adding two hex values just dont work as easy as it should.

IE8, XHTML, position: fixed; and z-index.

I have an XHTML 1.0 transitional Doctype. I have a <div> that is position: fixed; bottom: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; z-index: 200;. Inside that <div> I have two buttons which are position relative, aligned right, with a set z-index of 201; In Firefox the bar at the bottom and the two buttons are correctly located at the bottom. In IE8 however, the bar is visible and the z-index appears to be overlaying the other content, but the buttons are hidden behind the main div, despite being children and having their z-index set. I'm using the following meta tag; <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" /> to force the document into IE8 mode. If I emulate IE7 (put on compatability mode), the bar and buttons work just fine. I don't understand how IE7's rendering is better than IE8. I don't want to have to force compatability mode due to other things that IE7 cannot render and IE8 can. Is there another solution, or have I missed something? Thanks.

Everything I try fails. Does anyone have a good example of how to do this?

Javascript get image height works in all browsers but firefox...please help?

So I am fairly new to Javascript (a lot of experience in PHP), but I have this basic script that checks a link that redirects to a URL to see what the image height is. If it is a certain height then it adds one to a variable, otherwise nothing. I would easily do this in PHP but the images are on other servers and not my own so it doesn't work. Anyways, ehre is the script. Let me know if you have any tips. How do I gather data from the same collumn in multiple worksheets in a single workbook?

Okay so here is what I want to accomplish. For this example I have a single workbook composed of 4 data sheets plus a totals sheet. Each of the 4 data sheets has a similar name following the same pattern where the only difference is the date. (Ex. 9854978_1009_US.txt, where 1009 is the date that changes while the rest of the file name is the same). In each of those documents column F contains a series of number that I would like to find the sum of but I will have no idea how many cells in F actually contain numbers. (However there will never be additional information below it the numbers so I could in theory just add the entire F column together). I will also add new files to the workbook over time and do not want to have to rewrite the code of which I gather my data from column F. Essentially what I would like to accomplish is for the 'totals' document to take every column F from documents in the workbook with the name of '9854978_????_US.txt', where the question marks change based on the file name. How would I go about doing this in pure Excel code?

jQuery not working as expected on HTTPS Internet explorer

When I try to run my code on any other webbrowsers apart from the Internet explorer it works fine. But when I try to run the code on Internet explorer I do get an alert box saying HERE along with an Ok button. but the problem is when I click on that OK button I do not get anything. Making a Delete and Reply button in Jquery

this is my second post on the website. Of all other sites i tried, this one gave the most accurate and useful information! I'm in a bit of a trouble with buttons, i have a task to make an inbox and to add a "reply" and "delete" button into every instance of the message. I was indeed wandering if there is a better way to do that than forcing the HTML code into the script, because every message is dynamically generated. UpdatePanel doesn't Refresh

I have got a simple page with a HtmlInputHidden field. I use Javascript to update that value and, when posting back the page, I want to read the value of that HtmlInputHidden field. The Value property of that HtmlInputHidden field is on postback the default value (the value it had when the page was created, not the value reflected through the Javascript). I also tried to Register the HtmlInputHidden field with ScriptManager.RegisterHiddenField(Page, "MyHtmlImputHiddenField", "initialvalue") but it still only lets me read the 'initialvalue' even though I (through javascript) can inspect that the value has changed. I tried to hardcoded the rowid and, to my surprise, after postback gridview was exactly the same before the delete but the record was deleted from the database. Chrome + jQuery hide/show inline

Hello I have these things <ul class="ul_std" style="float:right"> <li class="action_buttons" ><a id="button_deleteNormal" class="button_small button_small_red" >??a??af?</a></li> <li class="action_buttons"><a id="button_editCancel" class="button_small" >?????s? ???p?p???s??</a></li> <li class="action_buttons"><a id="button_editNormal" class="button_small" >???p?p???s?</a></li> <li class="action_buttons" style="margin-right:0" ><a id="button_addNormal" class="button_small">???s????</a></li> </ul> The problem is that i hide all of them except the anchor with id = button_addNormal at $(document).ready()... Everything works fine but at chrome when i want to show them ,it displays them as display:inline and not as display:inline-block ... The css class button_small have display:inline-block.... Firefox,IE 6+ works ok... Havent tested on safari but i hope that it would be ok... Why chrome kills inline-block? The solution was to put .css("display","inline-block") instead of .show()

Hello everybody, Once again I find myself stuck by something that I just don't understand. Any help would be appreciated. I'm working on a modal window, you click something and the background is masked and a modal window shows some content. I have a div with "display:none" and "opacity:0", and when the user triggers the modal, this div will overlay everything and have certain transparency to it. In my mind, what I need to do is: Set the opacity Perform a "for" loop that will check if the opacity is less than the desired value. Inside this loop, perform a "setInterval" to gradually increment the value of the opacity until it reaches the desired value.
