  • "The connection was reset" in Mozilla Firefox

    i have the submit form with multiple file upload control(java script).when i will run the code is working well and showing me the form proper.i will fill the information properly and also file upload is working ok.but on clicking of Submit button the Mozilla shows me the "The connection was reset" exception.but if i was not upload any file by using the file upload then it never shows me any error.it save in database properly. i cant understand the problem please anybody help me out. (sorry for English grammar). thanks in advance.

    Take a look at the bottom right example on the jQuery Cycle Advanced Demos page. Notice how when it loops the gallery, the next image goes beneath the last, as opposed to others where the next image always covers the previous one? Well, at least in Firefox 3.6.3. I'm developing a custom animation with jQuery cycle that has the same problem. When it loops, the next image goes under instead of over. This is my config object I pass to cycle(). { fx: 'custom', timeout: 5000, easing: 'easeInOutQuad', pause: 1, cssFirst: { zIndex: 0 }, cssBefore: { display: 'block', top: -500, opacity: 1, zIndex: 1 }, animIn: { top: 0, opacity: 1 }, animOut: { opacity: .2 }, cssAfter: { display: 'none', opacity: .2, zIndex: 0 }, delay: -1000 } Basically the animation is the same as the cover fx, except the previous image should fade away as the next one comes down on top. Is there any way to get the next slide when it loops to cover the previous one? Thanks

    in a form i have a buttoin, when click both OnclientClick and postback should happen. on clicking the "Email" button a client side "mailto" tag should do the work and pull a new message window on the client's machine. whereas, the email addresses should be invoked by the post back. so , when clicking the button the server side post should happen and on return the client side script should be invokded with the values read during post back, and populate all the email addresses. i need know how to first do a server hit take the values and then execute the client script with those values without using AJAX

    Can someone tell me if there is a webpage that lists the official Google limit on emails sent from a Google Apps Script? In testing my little script I got a Service invoked too many times: email (# 59) and now I can't send any more emails. The obvious place for this information would be in the MailApp.sendEmail documentation. But, that does not say anything about a limit. I found this discussion on the google forum from 2/11/10 where users discuss about a 100 or 500 emails/day limit, with a 24 hour ban, but no one from Google provided an official answer. Note that this is for google apps script, which is different from the google app engine, which does have well published limits.

I mean, I have been searching for a combo to send data both ways (Client-server, server-client) with jQuery to ASPX. The best I found was jCryption that sends data from JavaScrpit to PHP. I need a combo to send data from JavaScrpit to ASPX. Any ideas?? PD: Please don't tell me to use HTTPS, it's not enough to ensure the data communication on a client - server application.

  • using checkbox as radio button

    Hi, I am looking for a way for users to select one of the two options (strength or weakness) for a list of qualities. for eg: strength weakness not applicable 1. Communication 2. Punctuality ... Radio button lets me select either a strength or weakness. However, I want the user to check only those qualities that apply and if a user accidentally selects a quality there is no way to undo the selection for a radio button unless there is a third radio button called not applicable or have the user re-enter the page. I was wondering if there is a way to be able to get the flexibility of a checkbox (check / uncheck) in addition to disabling or enabling the other checkbox when one of them is checked or unchecked instead of using three radio buttons. I don't think I have seen this behavior before so wondering if there is a more elegant way of doing this. I am open to other ideas to get the same functionality. Using a checkbox as radio button was just a thought. thanks much.

  • DOM memory issue with IE8 (inserting lots of JSON data)

    i am developing a small web-utility that displays some data from some database tables. i have the utility running fine on FF, Safari, Chrome..., but the memory management on IE8 is horrendous. the largest JSON request I do will return information to create around 5,000 or so rows in a table within the browser (3 columns in the table). i'm using jquery to get the data (via getJSON). to remove the old/existing table, i'm just doing a $('#my_table_tbody').empty(). to add the new info to the table, within the getJSON callback, i am just appending each table row that i am creating to a variable, and then once i have them all, i am using $('#my_table_tbody').append(myVar) to add it to the existing tbody. i don't add the table rows as they are created because that seems to be a lot slower than just adding them all at once. does anyone have any recommendation on what someone should do who is trying to add thousands of rows of data to the DOM? i would like to stay away from pagination, but i'm wondering if i don't have a choice.     I'm trying to add another asynchronous call to the contract of an existing Deferred before its state is set to success. I want Call 1 and Call 3 to be executed in parallel. Once all 3 calls are complete, I want the All Done code to execute. My understanding is that Deferred.pipe() is supposed to chain another asynchronous call to the given deferred, but in practice, I always get Call 2 completing after All Done. Does anyone know how to get jQuery's Deferred to do what I want? Hopefully the solution doesn't involve ripping the code apart into chunks any further. Thanks for any help.
