  • How do I turn off accent combining in Windows 7?

    I have English Windows 7 Professional with Hungarian keyboard language installed. The English keyboard layout works as expected, but for the Hungarian layout some kind of "accent combining" is activated. The effect of this ^+o becomes ô, ^+a becomes â, etc. This is not helpful at all, since the accented characters of Hungarian are already mapped to keys, but it's really annoying because I have to type a non-combining character to actually get ^. Is there any way to turn this "feature" off?

    I'am trying to install "fail2ban" on Cubidebian, a Debian port for Cubieboard (A raspberry like board). The following rule failed due to "-m multiport --dports ssh" options (It works, when i run manually the command without multiple options). $ iptables -I INPUT -p tcp -m multiport --dports ssh -j fail2ban-ssh" iptables: No chain/target/match by that name.     OS: Ubuntu 10.04 Logging daemon: rsyslog For some reason i'm not getting any iptables logs, even thought i don't look through them very often i'd still like to get it working for the sake of it working XD Here is my /etc/ryslog.d/iptables.conf :msg, contains, "[IPTABLES]" -/var/log/iptables.log & ~ My iptables logging prefix is "[IPTABLES]" followed by whatever else (example [IPTABLES] Denied xyz) the /var/log/iptables.log file is being created, however its not getting any entries. I can see the logging entries in dmesg but not in syslog or messages. Whats going on?   • How can I check cells for number series?

    I have a bit of a problem evaluating an excel cell. Example: M M M M M M M M M 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 2;5;7 1;9 3;5;7;9 I have a number of excel cells which contain numbers (months). In the first column I have a series of numbers. I want to use conditional formatting to color the corresponding cells in the right columns. If correctly colored I would get something like this: M M M M M M M M M 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 2;5;7 X X X 1;9 X X 3;5;7;9 X X X X The formula I have now is this: IF(ISNUMBER(FIND(L$22;$K23));$H23;"") but the problem is that cells are colored too which contain part of a number. If I enter 10;15 as input I get this: M M M M M M M M M M M M M M M 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 10;15 X X X X because 1 and 5 are found too. I only want column 10 and 15 to be marked. How can I change the formula or the input?

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 creating a multi-year client certificate using the IIS certsrv page while deploying SSTP VPN

    I am trying to follow instructions on Technet about deploying a Standard (non-enterprise) SSTP based VPN) that were originally written for Server 2008, but I am using Server 2008 R2, I have gotten as far as the part where it asks you to create a request a Server Authentication certificate. I have deployed IIS, and Active Directory Certificate Services, and chose "Standalone" and "Standard" (non-enterprise) Certificate Authority because I don't have an OID and don't think I should have to get one for a simple deployment of SSTP. The resulting certificates made by the Certification Authority "Issue" command, only have a 1 year period of validity, I want a multi-year certificate. At no point in this process is there any way to input this information unless it's through the Attributes text input area on the Advance Certificate Request page, which appears to be generated using an old ActiveX control, which means I can only do this using the workarounds in the article that I linked at the top, and only using Internet Explorer. Update:: It may be that this question is pointless since self-signed keys do not appear to work, when I try them, using Windows 8 as the VPN client. The problem is that the keys that are self-created by the technique shown here do not have any Certificate Revocation Server URLs and so you get an error "The revocation function was unable to check revocation", and the VPN connection fails.

    I'm struggling with something in FFMpeg at the moment... I'm trying to make DNxHD 1080p/24, 36Mb/s MXF files from a sequence of PNG files. My current command-line is: ffmpeg -y -f image2 -i /tmp/temp.%04d.png -s 1920x1080 -r 24 -vcodec dnxhd -f mxf -pix_fmt rgb32 -b 36Mb /tmp/temp.mxf To which ffmpeg gives me the output: Input #0, image2, from '/tmp/temp.%04d.png': Duration: 00:00:01.60, start: 0.000000, bitrate: N/A Stream #0.0: Video: png, rgb32, 1920x1080, 25 tbr, 25 tbn, 25 tbc Output #0, mxf, to '/tmp/temp.mxf': Stream #0.0: Video: dnxhd, yuv422p, 1920x1080, q=2-31, 36000 kb/s, 90k tbn, 24 tbc Stream mapping: Stream #0.0 -> #0.0 [mxf @ 0x1005800]unsupported video frame rate Could not write header for output file #0 (incorrect codec parameters ?) There are a few things in here that concern me: The output stream is insisting on being yuv422p, which doesn't support alpha. 24fps is an unsupported video frame rate?     I am copying a 4.7 GB dvd contents into my local drive but the total size of DVD is being shown as 415 GB!. How is that possible? Because of which it is showing less space (as my drive is of 150 GB) and thus cannot be copied? I am surprised that how a 4.7 GB dvd contains 415 GB data?     Has anyone seen this before? The question marks are odd, and any directory with a question mark throws an io error when you attempt to use/delete/etc it. I was unable to umount the drive due to "busy". Rebooting the server "fixed" it but it was throwing some raid errors on shutdown. I have configured two raid 5 arrays and both started doing this on random files. Both are using the following config: mkfs.xfs -l size=128m -d agcount=32 mount -t xfs -o noatime,logbufs=8 Nothing too fancy, but part of an optimized config for this box. We're not partitioning the drives and that was suggested as a possible issue. Could this be the culprit?

  • cannot connect to my nginx server from remote machine

    I thought that it's iptables problem.. but it seems not. I really have no idea about this situation. I'm getting a server hosting(CentOS). I installed Nginx + Django and nginx uses 8080 port. A domain is connected to the server. When I executed "wget [domain]:8080/[app name]/" in the server, it worked. Of course, "wget 127.0.0.1:8080/[app name]/" has no problem. (wget [server ip]:8080/[app name]/, either) However, from other computers, connecting was failed. (message says, no route) I checked my firewall setting. I excuted these commands. iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 8080 -j ACCEPT iptables -I OUTPUT -p tcp --sport 8080 -j ACCEPT iptables -A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 8080 -j ACCEPT /etc/init.d/iptables restart I don't really understand all options of commands and I think there were useless commands, but I just tried all googled iptables settings. It works fine, I can connect to apache from other computers. There is DB connecting issue, (PHP to MySQL) but I think that it is just PHP coding bug. please excuse my low-level English.   • DotNetOpenAuth OpenID Provider "Sequence contains more than one element"

    Hello, all, I'm having trouble implementing my OpenID provider with DNOA 3.4.3. Everything was going absolutely peachy until I needed AX support as well. I set AXFetchAsSregTransform in the web config, as recommended by Andrew at http://groups.google.com/group/dotnetopenid/browse_thread/thread/5629a24c0a7e8d99. Doing this caused me to get the exception "Sequence Contains More Than One Element" on my decide.aspx page, however, and I haven't been able to get past it. The following line is throwing the exception: Edit: Strangely enough, this is not the line throwing the error anymore. The SendResponse() is now triggering the exception ClaimsRequest requestedFields = ProviderEndpoint.PendingRequest.GetExtension(); ProviderEndpoint.SendResponse() Any thoughts on why this may be?   • jqGrid - Problems opening in jquery tabs (on Firefox and Google Chrome)

    I have developed a very simple MVC app to test out trirand's jqGrid for MVC. The app opens a jqgrid in a jquery tab group and everything is ok with IE. However when I use Firefox jqgrid only opens occasionaly in the first tab (but not under any other tab), and in Chrome my jqgrids dont appear to open under any tab of the group. I'm a bit of an MVC newbie (and have only been testing jqgrid out for a few days), but I know my users will want to use different browsers. Trirand have not come back with any answer so wondered if anyone else had had a similar issue. I have really just implemented jqgrid as per the controllers and model in the sample application on the Trirand site, and then combined it with a straightforward jquery tab group.   • PHP Email Form Sending Random Text

    Hi, I did a webpage for a client that involved a series of text boxes asking for specific information such as a person's name, e-mail address, company, etc. Along with a button that would e-mail the information to my client. Whenever I tested the button it seemed to work perfectly, I uploaded the page and thought I was done. I'm a little dumbfounded on how this happened, the client mentioned a couple e-mails of this, so I don't think it is a random glitch. Also, the e-mail address was formatted like an e-mail address, so someone or some program was interpreting the labels next to each text box. I also noticed that the first and last names entered are the same word, even though they were in different text boxes, I'm thinking its some spam program, but wouldn't they try to advertise something and make money, rather than just spouting out random text? Also, the comments section makes no sense to me at all, the links goto nowhere and they're all perfectly formatted, a random person just screwing around wouldn't know those tags, and a programmer doing it wouldn't bother with it, but also neither would a program. I have no idea what caused this or how to fix it, I'm drawing a blank here. Anyone have any ideas?
