  • Image rescale and write rescaled image file in blackberry

    - by Karthick
    I am using the following code to resize and save the file in to the blackberry device. After image scale I try to write image file into device. But it gives the same data. (Height and width of the image are same).I have to make rescaled image file.Can anyone help me ??? class ResizeImage extends MainScreen implements FieldChangeListener { private String path="file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/pictures/test.jpg"; private ButtonField btn; ResizeImage() { btn=new ButtonField("Write File"); btn.setChangeListener(this); add(btn); } public void fieldChanged(Field field, int context) { if (field == btn) { try { InputStream inputStream = null; //Get File Connection FileConnection fileConnection = (FileConnection) Connector.open(path); if (fileConnection.exists()) { inputStream = fileConnection.openInputStream(); //byte data[]=inputStream.toString().getBytes(); ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream(); int j = 0; while((j=inputStream.read()) != -1) { baos.write(j); } byte data[] = baos.toByteArray(); inputStream.close(); fileConnection.close(); WriteFile("file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/pictures/org_Image.jpg",data); EncodedImage eImage = EncodedImage.createEncodedImage(data,0,data.length); int scaleFactorX = Fixed32.div(Fixed32.toFP(eImage.getWidth()), Fixed32.toFP(80)); int scaleFactorY = Fixed32.div(Fixed32.toFP(eImage.getHeight()), Fixed32.toFP(80)); eImage=eImage.scaleImage32(scaleFactorX, scaleFactorY); WriteFile("file:///SDCard/BlackBerry/pictures/resize.jpg",eImage.getData()); BitmapField bit=new BitmapField(eImage.getBitmap()); add(bit); } } catch(Exception e) { System.out.println("Exception is ==> "+e.getMessage()); } } } void WriteFile(String fileName,byte[] data) { FileConnection fconn = null; try { fconn = (FileConnection) Connector.open(fileName,Connector.READ_WRITE); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.print("Error opening file"); } if (fconn.exists()) try { fconn.delete(); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.print("Error deleting file"); } try { fconn.create(); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.print("Error creating file"); } OutputStream out = null; try { out = fconn.openOutputStream(); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.print("Error opening output stream"); } try { out.write(data); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.print("Error writing to output stream"); } try { fconn.close(); } catch (IOException e) { System.out.print("Error closing file"); } } }

  • Class hierarchy problem (with generic's variance!)

    - by devoured elysium
    The problem: class StatesChain : IState, IHasStateList { private TasksChain tasks = new TasksChain(); ... public IList<IState> States { get { return _taskChain.Tasks; } } IList<ITask> IHasTasksCollection.Tasks { get { return _taskChain.Tasks; } <-- ERROR! You can't do this in C#! I want to return an IList<ITask> from an IList<IStates>. } } Assuming the IList returned will be read-only, I know that what I'm trying to achieve is safe (or is it not?). Is there any way I can accomplish what I'm trying? I wouldn't want to try to implement myself the TasksChain algorithm (again!), as it would be error prone and would lead to code duplication. Maybe I could just define an abstract Chain and then implement both TasksChain and StatesChain from there? Or maybe implementing a Chain<T> class? How would you approach this situation? The Details: I have defined an ITask interface: public interface ITask { bool Run(); ITask FailureTask { get; } } and a IState interface that inherits from ITask: public interface IState : ITask { IState FailureState { get; } } I have also defined an IHasTasksList interface: interface IHasTasksList { List<Tasks> Tasks { get; } } and an IHasStatesList: interface IHasTasksList { List<Tasks> States { get; } } Now, I have defined a TasksChain, that is a class that has some code logic that will manipulate a chain of tasks (beware that TasksChain is itself a kind of ITask!): class TasksChain : ITask, IHasTasksList { IList<ITask> tasks = new List<ITask>(); ... public List<ITask> Tasks { get { return _tasks; } } ... } I am implementing a State the following way: public class State : IState { private readonly TaskChain _taskChain = new TaskChain(); public State(Precondition precondition, Execution execution) { _taskChain.Tasks.Add(precondition); _taskChain.Tasks.Add(execution); } public bool Run() { return _taskChain.Run(); } public IState FailureState { get { return (IState)_taskChain.Tasks[0].FailureTask; } } ITask ITask.FailureTask { get { return FailureState; } } } which, as you can see, makes use of explicit interface implementations to "hide" FailureTask and instead show FailureState property. The problem comes from the fact that I also want to define a StatesChain, that inherits both from IState and IHasStateList (and that also imples ITask and IHasTaskList, implemented as explicit interfaces) and I want it to also hide IHasTaskList's Tasks and only show IHasStateList's States. (What is contained in "The problem" section should really be after this, but I thought puting it first would be way more reader friendly). (pff..long text) Thanks!

  • vsts load testing wcf app

    - by ashish.s
    I have a simple test written like this public class Test { [ThreadStatic] private static ServiceClient client; [TestMethod] public void TestCase1() { If( client == null) { .... //instantiate client } client.CallMyServiceMethod() } [TestMethod] public void TestCase2() { using(var newClient = new ServiceClient()) { newClient.CallMyServiceMethod() } } The percentage of new users is set to 100 % for the test, and the user load is constant load of 1. But the response time for TestCase1 is about 3 times better than TestCase2. Can someone see what i am missing here ? many thanks

  • C++ Using a class template argument as a template argument for another type

    - by toefel
    Hey Everyone, I'm having this problem while writing my own HashTable. It all works, but when I try to templatize the thing, it gave me errors. I recreated the problem as follows: THIS CODE WORKS: typedef double Item; class A { public: A() { v.push_back(pair<string, Item>("hey", 5.0)); } void iterate() { for(Iterator iter = v.begin(); iter != v.end(); ++iter) cout << iter->first << ", " << iter->second << endl; } private: vector<pair<string, double> > v; typedef vector< pair<string, double> >::iterator Iterator; }; THIS CODE DOES NOT: template<typename ValueType> class B { public: B(){} void iterate() { for(Iterator iter = v.begin(); iter != v.end(); ++iter) cout << iter->first << ", " << iter->second << endl; } private: vector<pair<string, ValueType> > v; typedef vector< pair<string, ValueType> >::iterator Iterator; }; the error messages: g++ -O0 -g3 -Wall -c -fmessage-length=0 -omain.o ..\main.cpp ..\main.cpp:50: error: type std::vector<std::pair<std::string, ValueType>, std::allocator<std::pair<std::string, ValueType> > >' is not derived from typeB' ..\main.cpp:50: error: ISO C++ forbids declaration of `iterator' with no type ..\main.cpp:50: error: expected `;' before "Iterator" ..\main.cpp: In member function `void B::iterate()': ..\main.cpp:44: error: `Iterator' was not declared in this scope ..\main.cpp:44: error: expected `;' before "iter" ..\main.cpp:44: error: `iter' was not declared in this scope Does anybody know why this is happening?   • How to ACTUALLY install Java on Linux?

    - by Camran
    I have a Ubuntu Server. From the terminal, how should I install JDK? In this guide it says to use this command: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk But on Suns website, it says JDK includes the JRE, so why the JRE in the line above? Anybody know how to actually install Java? Every guide and every forum shows different ways of doing it. BTW: It is a VPS (virtual private server) Thanks

  • Help creating a JavaScript mixin in Tapestry5?

    - by shane87
    I am creating a mixin which renders a javascript file when a textfield gains focus. I am new to the idea of mixins in Tapestry, and I am unsure of where to place my original javascript file which i wish to run when the textfield gains focus. The following is an example of my code: The Java mixin class: package asc.mixins; import org.apache.tapestry5.RenderSupport; import org.apache.tapestry5.annotations.AfterRender; import org.apache.tapestry5.annotations.Environmental; import org.apache.tapestry5.annotations.IncludeJavaScriptLibrary; import org.apache.tapestry5.annotations.InjectContainer; import org.apache.tapestry5.corelib.base.AbstractTextField; @IncludeJavaScriptLibrary("js_dasher_mixin.js") public class DasherMixin { @Environmental private RenderSupport renderSupport; @InjectContainer private AbstractTextField field; @AfterRender void addScript() { this.renderSupport.addScript("new JSDasher('%s');", this.field.getClientId()); } } The Javascript mixin file: JSDasher = Class.create({ initialize: function(textField) { this.textField = $(textField); this.textField.observe('focus', this.onFocus.bindAsEventListener(this)); }, onFocus: function(event) { //call my javascript init() function } } part of my javascript file I wish to run when the textfield gains focus: var posX, posY; // Sets up our global variables and dispatches an init request to the server. function init() { posX=0; posY=0; canvas = document.getElementById("canvas"); canvasWidth = canvas.offsetWidth; canvasHeight = canvas.offsetHeight; if (canvas.getContext) { ctx = canvas.getContext("2d"); } canvas.onclick = canvasClicked; canvas.onmousemove = mouseMoved; canvasOffsetX = findPosX(canvas); canvasOffsetY = findPosY(canvas); sessID = -1; sendInitRQ(canvasWidth, canvasHeight); } My javascript file is much larger than above, my question is where should I put my javascript code above? Should it all be contained in the mixin.js file? if so where exactly should it go? Thanks in advance for any help.

  • conflicting declaration when filling a static std::map class member variable

    - by Max
    I have a class with a static std::map member variable that maps chars to a custom type Terrain. I'm attempting to fill this map in the class's implementation file, but I get several errors. Here's my header file: #ifndef LEVEL_HPP #define LEVEL_HPP #include <bitset> #include <list> #include <map> #include <string> #include <vector> #include "libtcod.hpp" namespace yarl { namespace level { class Terrain { // Member Variables private: std::bitset<5> flags; // Member Functions public: explicit Terrain(const std::string& flg) : flags(flg) {} (...) }; class Level { private: static std::map<char, Terrain> terrainTypes; (...) }; } } #endif and here's my implementation file: #include <bitset> #include <list> #include <map> #include <string> #include <vector> #include "Level.hpp" #include "libtcod.hpp" using namespace std; namespace yarl { namespace level { /* fill Level::terrainTypes */ map<char,Terrain> Level::terrainTypes['.'] = Terrain("00001"); // clear map<char,Terrain> Level::terrainTypes[','] = Terrain("00001"); // clear map<char,Terrain> Level::terrainTypes['\''] = Terrain("00001"); // clear map<char,Terrain> Level::terrainTypes['`'] = Terrain("00001"); // clear map<char,Terrain> Level::terrainTypes[178] = Terrain("11111"); // wall (...) } } I'm using g++, and the errors I get are src/Level.cpp:15: error: conflicting declaration ‘std::map, std::allocator yarl::level::Level::terrainTypes [46]’ src/Level.hpp:104: error: ‘yarl::level::Level::terrainTypes’ has a previous declaration as ‘std::map, std::allocator yarl::level::Level::terrainTypes’ src/Level.cpp:15: error: declaration of ‘std::map, std::allocator yarl::level::Level::terrainTypes’ outside of class is not definition src/Level.cpp:15: error: conversion from ‘yarl::level::Terrain’ to non-scalar type ‘std::map, std::allocator ’ requested src/Level.cpp:15: error: ‘yarl::level::Level::terrainTypes’ cannot be initialized by a non-constant expression when being declared I get a set of these for each map assignment line in the implementation file.   • Calling 32 bit unmanaged dlls from C# randomly failing

    - by Bert
    Hi, I'm having an issue when calling 32 bit delphi dll's from c# web site. The code generally runs fine, but occasionally I get an error Unable to load DLL '': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E). This issue persists until I recycle the app pool for the site, and then it works fine again. On the same server, there is also a web service that is calling the same set of dlls. This web service doesn't seem to have the same issue that the web site has. Both applications are using .net framework 3.5, separate app pools on IIS. Here is the code I'm using to wrap the dlls: public sealed class Mapper { static Mapper instance = null; [DllImport("kernel32.dll")] private static extern bool SetDllDirectory(string lpPathName); private Mapper() { SetDllDirectory(ConfigManager.Path); } public static Mapper Instance { get { if (instance == null) { instance = new Mapper(); } return instance; } } public int Foo(string bar, ref double val) { return Loader.Foo(bar, ref val); } } public static class Loader { [DllImport("some.dll", CallingConvention = CallingConvention.StdCall, CharSet = CharSet.Unicode, EntryPoint = "foo")] public static extern int Foo(string bar, ref double val); } Then I call it like this: double val = 0.0; Mapper.Instance.Foo("bar", ref val); Any ideas as to why it would "randomly" Unable to load DLL '': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E). The other problem is that I haven't been able to replicate the issue in the development environment. I thought that due to 2 applications calling the same dlls, that there could be some locks occurring. To replicate this, I created an app that spawned multiple threads and repeatedly called the 32bit dlls, and then used the web site to call these same dlls. I still couldn't replicate the issue. Some possible fixes that I can think of: Wrap the 32 bit dlls in web service (because the webservice doesn't seem to suffer from the same problem). But this may be worthless if it turns out that the web service also fails. Set up state server for the session state and periodically recycle the app pool for the site.This isn't fixing the problem, only avoiding it. Wrap the dll's in exe, and call that exe. Then I shouldn't get the same issue. But this also seems like a hacky solution. Implement the mapper class differently ? But how else should I be doing the call? The other draw back is that other applications are using this mapper, so I'd need to change there code too. Thanks

  • When are response headers created in ASP.NET web forms?

    - by Jones
    I read somewhere the you can't remove response headers once they've been added. Given that, I'm wondering where in a standard ASP.NET web forms application do response headers get added initially. For example, these: Date Fri, 23 Apr 2010 16:25:56 GMT Server Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By ASP.NET Cache-Control private And can I stop it from happening? Do subsequent headers override old headers? Does my question even make sense? Thanks.

  • How to get compatibility between C# and SQL2k8 AES Encryption?

    - by Victor Rodrigues
    I have an AES encryption being made on two columns: one of these columns is stored at a SQL Server 2000 database; the other is stored at a SQL Server 2008 database. As the first column's database (2000) doesn't have native functionality for encryption / decryption, we've decided to do the cryptography logic at application level, with .NET classes, for both. But as the second column's database (2008) allow this kind of functionality, we'd like to make the data migration using the database functions to be faster, since the data migration in SQL 2k is much smaller than this second and it will last more than 50 hours because of being made at application level. My problem started at this point: using the same key, I didn't achieve the same result when encrypting a value, neither the same result size. Below we have the full logic in both sides.. Of course I'm not showing the key, but everything else is the same: private byte[] RijndaelEncrypt(byte[] clearData, byte[] Key) { var memoryStream = new MemoryStream(); Rijndael algorithm = Rijndael.Create(); algorithm.Key = Key; algorithm.IV = InitializationVector; var criptoStream = new CryptoStream(memoryStream, algorithm.CreateEncryptor(), CryptoStreamMode.Write); criptoStream.Write(clearData, 0, clearData.Length); criptoStream.Close(); byte[] encryptedData = memoryStream.ToArray(); return encryptedData; } private byte[] RijndaelDecrypt(byte[] cipherData, byte[] Key) { var memoryStream = new MemoryStream(); Rijndael algorithm = Rijndael.Create(); algorithm.Key = Key; algorithm.IV = InitializationVector; var criptoStream = new CryptoStream(memoryStream, algorithm.CreateDecryptor(), CryptoStreamMode.Write); criptoStream.Write(cipherData, 0, cipherData.Length); criptoStream.Close(); byte[] decryptedData = memoryStream.ToArray(); return decryptedData; } This is the SQL Code sample: open symmetric key columnKey decryption by password = N'{pwd!!i_ll_not_show_it_here}' declare @enc varchar(max) set @enc = dbo.VarBinarytoBase64(EncryptByKey(Key_GUID('columnKey'), 'blablabla')) select LEN(@enc), @enc This varbinaryToBase64 is a tested sql function we use to convert varbinary to the same format we use to store strings in the .net application. The result in C# is: eg0wgTeR3noWYgvdmpzTKijkdtTsdvnvKzh+uhyN3Lo= The same result in SQL2k8 is: AI0zI7D77EmqgTQrdgMBHAEAAACyACXb+P3HvctA0yBduAuwPS4Ah3AB4Dbdj2KBGC1Dk4b8GEbtXs5fINzvusp8FRBknF15Br2xI1CqP0Qb/M4w I just didn't get yet what I'm doing wrong. Do you have any ideas? EDIT: One point I think is crucial: I have one Initialization Vector at my C# code, 16 bytes. This IV is not set at SQL symmetric key, could I do this? But even not filling the IV in C#, I get very different results, both in content and length.

  • Check if DataRow exists by column name in c#?

    I want to do something like this: private User PopulateUsersList(DataRow row) { Users user = new Users(); user.Id = int.Parse(row["US_ID"].ToString()); if (row["US_OTHERFRIEND"] != null) { user.OtherFriend = row["US_OTHERFRIEND"].ToString(); } return user; } However, I get an error saying US_OTHERFRIEND does not belong to the table. I want to simply check if it is not null, then set the value. Isn't there a way to do this?

  • Can you help me optimize this code for finding factors of a number? I'm brushing up on my math progr

    - by Sergio Tapia
    I've never really bothered with math programming, but today I've decided to give it a shot. Here's my code and it's working as intended: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; using System.Windows.Data; using System.Windows.Documents; using System.Windows.Input; using System.Windows.Media; using System.Windows.Media.Imaging; using System.Windows.Navigation; using System.Windows.Shapes; namespace PrimeFactorization { /// <summary> /// Interaction logic for MainWindow.xaml /// </summary> public partial class MainWindow : Window { public MainWindow() { InitializeComponent(); } private void btnSubmit_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { List<int> primeFactors = FindPrimeFactors(Convert.ToInt32(txtNumber.Text)); primeFactors.Sort(); for (int i = 0; i < primeFactors.Count; i++) { listBoxFoundNumbers.Items.Add(primeFactors[i]); } } private List<int> FindPrimeFactors(int number) { List<int> factors = new List<int>(); factors.Add(1); factors.Add(number); for (int i = 2; i < number; i++) { if (number % i == 0) { int holder = number / i; //If the number is in the list, don't add it again. if (!factors.Contains(i)) { factors.Add(i); } //If the number is in the list, don't add it again. if (!factors.Contains(holder)) { factors.Add(holder); } } } return factors; } } } The only problem I can see with my code is that it will iterate through to the bitter end, even though there will definitely not be any factors. For example, imagine I wrote in 35. My loop will go up to 35 and check 24,25,26,27...etc. Not very good. What do you recommend?

  • How the simples GUI countdown is supposed to work?

    - by Roman
    I am trying to write the simples GUI countdown. I found in Internet some code but it is already too fancy for me. I am trying to keep it as simple as possible. So, I just want to have a window saying "You have 10 second left". The number of second should decrease every second from 10 to 0. I wrote a code. And I think I am close to the working solution. But I still missing something. Could you pleas help me to find out what is wrong? Here is my code: import javax.swing.*; public class Countdown { static JLabel label; // Method which defines the appearance of the window. private static void showGUI() { JFrame frame = new JFrame("Simple Countdown"); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); JLabel label = new JLabel("Some Text"); frame.add(label); frame.pack(); frame.setVisible(true); } // Define a new thread in which the countdown is counting down. static Thread counter = new Thread() { public void run() { for (int i=10; i>0; i=i-1) { updateGUI(i,label); try {Thread.sleep(1000);} catch(InterruptedException e) {}; } } }; // A method which updates GUI (sets a new value of JLabel). private static void updateGUI(final int i, final JLabel label) { SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(i,label) { public Runnable(int i, JLabel label) { this.i = i; this.label = label; } public void run() { label.setText("You have " + i + " seconds."); } }); } // The main method (entry point). public static void main(String[] args) { javax.swing.SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() { public void run() { showGUI(); //counter.start(); } }); //counter.start(); } } And I have several concrete question about this code: Where should I place the counter.start();? (In my code I put it on 2 places. Which one is correct?) Why compiler complains about the constructor for Runnable? It says that I have an invalid method declaration and I need to specify the returned type. ADDED: I made the suggested corrections. And then I execute the code and get: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException at Worker.run(Worker.java:12) In the Worker.java in the line 12 I have: label.setText("You have " + i + " seconds.");.

  • Virtual member call in a constructor when assigning value to property

    - by comecme
    I have an Abstract class and a Derived class. The abstract class defines an abstract property named Message. In the derived class, the property is implemented by overriding the abstract property. The constructor of the derived class takes a string argument and assigns it to its Message property. In Resharper, this assignment leads to a warning "Virtual member call in constructor". The AbstractClass has this definition: public abstract class AbstractClass { public abstract string Message { get; set; } protected AbstractClass() { } public abstract void PrintMessage(); } And the DerivedClass is as follows: using System; public class DerivedClass : AbstractClass { private string _message; public override string Message { get { return _message; } set { _message = value; } } public DerivedClass(string message) { Message = message; // Warning: Virtual member call in a constructor } public DerivedClass() : this("Default DerivedClass message") {} public override void PrintMessage() { Console.WriteLine("DerivedClass PrintMessage(): " + Message); } } I did find some other questions about this warning, but in those situations there is an actual call to a method. For instance, in this question, the answer by Matt Howels contains some sample code. I'll repeat it here for easy reference. class Parent { public Parent() { DoSomething(); } protected virtual void DoSomething() {}; } class Child : Parent { private string foo; public Child() { foo = "HELLO"; } protected override void DoSomething() { Console.WriteLine(foo.ToLower()); } } Matt doesn't describe on what error the warning would appear, but I'm assuming it will be on the call to DoSomething in the Parent constructor. In this example, I understand what is meant by a virtual member being called. The member call occurs in the base class, in which only a virtual method exists. In my situation however, I don't see why assigning a value to Message would be calling a virtual member. Both the call to and the implementation of the Message property are defined in the derived class. Although I can get rid of the error by making my Derived Class sealed, I would like to understand why this situation is resulting in the warning.
