Hello. I have Microsoft Office 2003 installed, but no frontpage is installed. I don't know why not. It was an OEM installation.
Can anyone recommend an open source replacement?
Thanks.

I'm getting an error when I try to install .NET 2.0 on my Server 2003 SP1;
Error 25007.Error occurred while initializing fusion.
Setup could not load fusion with LoadLibraryShim()
.NET-Framework 1.1 is already installed, is that the problem? I always thought you can just override any older installations of .NET

I'm looking for a tool to manage the maintenance tasks on a Windows PC. Things like disk defrag, antivirus, update software and any other maintenance.
This should not be an all-in-one solutions, with these features built in. Rather, it should be a framework to automate other tools (like CCleaner, Defragler etc.).
Many tasks should be run periodically (with different frequencies). I'm looking for one tool to manage all these tasks.
Hello, I want to create a bootable Windows 7 vhd using the steps mentioned at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=80ede31d-3509-407b-a896-0beea8705589&displaylang=en
However, I wanted to know if I will be able to access the vhd using Virtualbox too. I intend to install VS2008 in the VM and use it in Virtualbox when doing quick work and on native hardware when doing a lot of work. I don't want to mess up my actual Win7 installation with VS2008 dev work.
I have a Dell Mini 9 with only Ubuntu installed, I want to install Windows XP also but I don't have and can't get an external CD drive, so I need to make a windows installation from the usb.
All the tutorials I found use windows to make the usb bootable, how can I make the same from linux?
I installed GnoCHM and it keeps on crashing on my Fedora installation so I'm looking for better alternatives. Please only suggest those that you've used.
I have a Jenkins-ci installation on a debian squeeze.

Is there a way to run multiple DNS server instances on the same Windows 2003 installation?
We have to support multiple development teams coding in separate environments using the same server names that resolve to different IPs depending on the team.
These are for internal development so server failing, etc is not an issue. I'm looking for a way to avoid setting up a server 2003 DNS server per environment.
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop. Due to space constraint of the SSD, I did not set a swap partition for the OS, and I have 1.5GB of RAM.
There's a warning during installation, but I think it's not a big deal since everything went smoothly.
For the long term, would there be any drawbacks of not having a swap partition?
I have an installation of MSSQL where I would like to move the data directory to another drive so that all the existing databases are located there and all new databases are created there, as well as the backups, logs, etc. I know I can detach/attach the existing databases, but what about the rest of the settings (backup, new databases)? Is this possible without an uninstall/reinstall? Thank you.

Having an issue migrating a wordpress-mu installation that I have running with cas authentication enabled (using wpcas and phpcas 1.1.0) from apache on an ubuntu machine to IIS on a windows 2008 machine. While CAS authed fine under linux, I'm getting a "CAS Authentication failed! You were no authenticated." page that pops up whenever I enter in a correct login.
Anyone know whats up or if there are some logs I can look at to get more info?
Is there a script or another way to automatically generate a kickstart configuration file from the system state of an existing server so that the file can be use to replicate (not clone) the configuration of the system in another install?
I know that the anaconda-ks.cfg file is stored on the /root dir. but the system in question have been extensively changed since it's installation, and the file is of no use now.
All the BIOS beeps are solid, everything is looking good. I have built computers in the past and everything looks solid with this installation. Is there something that I need to do to get my screen to work now? No BIOS beeps, good install, NVidia motherboard 780i and graphics card, any ideas?
Over night our installation of MOSS seemed to have stopped working. For ever user it is asking for credentials. You log in with the credentials and then you get the Access Denied error. This is happening for everyone. Any ideas what could be wrong?
I currently have a laptop with Windows Vista, and I'd like to upgrade to Windows 7 and also install Ubuntu Linux as dual boot. I need to make disk partitions used by Windows smaller to make room for Linux.
What is easiest way to upgrade? Should I resize Vista partition first to make room for linux installation, or should I upgrade first to Windows 7 and resize partitions after upgrade.
hi,
I'm using Ubuntu emulator (VMware) on a Macbook.
My mac says 3gb free, while my Ubuntu emulator says 16gb free.
How was wondering if my Ubuntu installation is "reserving" those 16gb, or it is just a wrong parameter.
thanks
We are building a farm of test servers. Currently we have 8 servers. We are planning to use the servers to test the following
Mysql Cluster
Xen or KVM virtualization
Heartbeat/Pacemaker/DRDB
What tools do experienced sysads use for:
Initial installation of operating system( installing centos 5 or ubuntu server manually 8 times seems like a tedious task that just begs for automation)
Centralized Configuration Management and Software Updates for Host and possibly Guest(virtualized) servers
Hardware, Services and Network Monitoring
Does anyone know how to remove/uninstall Oracle Developer Suite 10g from Windows XP (SP3) ? It's not appearing in the "Add or Remove Programs" list and it doesn't have a built-in uninstaller.
I've googled around for how to do this, and basically, everyone says to run the Oracle Universal Installer shipped with every Oracle product. I've tried to run it from the Oracle Developer Suite 10g installation kit, but it crashes. Anyone got any ideas?
