• Transparent UIView like photo gallery app in iphone

  The default camera app has a photo gallery which has glossy and transparent look, especially the toolbar. One can see the image partially behind the toolbar. How is this achieved? Is it just by altering the opaque property of UIView? Any pointers are much appreciated.

  I'm trying to convert a 2D array to grayscale but using mat2gray doesn't do anything and imshow() appears to create a binary image that when I graph I cannot rotate it, e.g. the original array is 2d but maps in 3d. So, what is the best way to take a grayscale of 2d array in Matlab so if you have A=rand(5,10) or something and want to take a grayscale of that, what is the best way?

• How do you disable the Windows Phone 7 splash screen?

  Hi, Is there any way to disable the WP7 splash screen and just show a blank screen? My splash screen only stays on for less than half a second, leaving the user with a rather jarring sensation. I'd rather they not see any splash screen at all. I would have simply used a plain black image as my splash screen, but then that would result in an ugly experience for people using a light theme (since my app's background is white on light themes and black on dark themes) Thanks!

  I'm trying to get a firebird web application (IIS6 64 bit) to run. However I'm getting bad image format (bit difference incompatability) issues. Has anyone got any advice to get it running. Details AnyCPU application references the .net firebird driver (through nhibernate) which uses a native 64bit dll. There is a native 32bit dll which I use for local development and it works fine. (I havn't got the 32 version working on the 64 bit server either).

Assembly::GetExecutingAssembly()-GetManifestResourceStream("SCtor.Images.resources.IndexPointer.jpg") only returns a nullptr. Obviously, I've got the manifest name wrong.   If I use routing with 2 query parameters, like this: System.Web.Routing.RouteTable.Routes.MapPageRoute("HomeRoute", "home/{f1}/{f2}", "~/Home.aspx"); My image does not appear on my Home.aspx page: <img src="~/img/img.jpg" /> or <img src="img/img.jpg" /> But it does appear when I access the http://localhost:3760/Website/Home.aspx URL I tried using Routing.Ignore with no luck. I look for a solution wich should work for an unlimited number of subfolders: "home/{f1}/{f2}/.../{fn}"
