    Hi, I am using C language and Linux as my programming platform. I am learning how to create a daemon, and I want to create a log file so that I write a debug message in my daemon.     I am using MVC design pattern in jsp-servlet web application, and want to what is the exact difference between MVC1 and MVC2 , can someone help? EDIT newly I hear that there is 2 versions of using MVC in servlet programming, I hear that in MVC1 there is kind of coupling between controller and view , but in MVC2 they overtake it, if someone know whether this is right or wrong I'll be very thankful.

    Hi there! I'm trying to figure out a structure for a hosted application that i'm working on. I've got a domain lets call it app.company.com (a sub-domain company.com of course) that is setup to redirect to my IIS 6 web server. I would like to set up one website in IIS for each client that will use this application. And have the URL schema be like this: app.company.com/clientA -- would point to ClientA website in IIS app.company.com/clientB -- would point to ClientB website in IIS Do you guys have any pointers or best practices for my scenario?

    I have very little programming knowledge; only a fair bit in Visual Basic. How do I take a value from a text field, then do some simple math such as divide the value by two, then display it back to the user in the same field? In Visual Basic you could just do txtBoxOne.text = txtBoxOne.text / 2 I understand this question is more than one question and is very basic stuff, but I need to get my head out of Visual Basic and into where I should be :)
