  • Simple way to reorder methods of a Java class in IntelliJ?

    Is there a simpler way of reordering methods within a class source file in IntelliJ than cutting and pasting the code manually? Nowadays I often need this while refactoring legacy code, e.g. to move related methods close to each other in the source code. In Eclipse AFAIK there is a view similar to the Structure view of IntelliJ, where I can drag and drop methods around. However, this does not work in IntelliJ and I couldn't find any hints from its help either. I am using IntelliJ 9.0.2 to be specific.

    I have a very strange problem with Visual Source Safe. I use VSS as a add-on with VS 2008 in a corporate intranet with 5 other colleagues. My VS stops working after 5 p.m. most of days with complaining can not connect Source Safe. I'm running VS 2008 and VSS 2005 on Vista and no other one in corporate have such a problem. What do you think about its cause? Is there any log for VSS?

The following line of code looks in column E of the Source file, and if any of the entries match the values shown in the code it copies that row of data to paste into the Destination file. Rows(j).Delete I just wondered whether someone may be able to look at this please and let me know where I'm going wrong, or perhaps even suggest a more efficient process of allowing the user to merge the workbooks. I have a 1 source and 1 target and 1 error table.Target and Error tables have all fields that are present in source tables.But the data type o of all fieds for error table are varchar .Error table dont have integirty or foreign key and other constraints . Error table also have2 more fileds .Error no and error msg. Now when the workflow is executed if there is erro while inserting any record then that recored shold be moved to error table.Also the data base error code and error message should be logged in error no and error message in error tables fields as mentioned. How can i devlop such a mappng?Where can i find exaples of such mapping ?

  • Syncronize an SVN repo (svnsync) with encoding errors

    Is it possible to fix/bypass non-UTF8 encoded svn:log records when syncronizing repositories with svnsync? Background I'm in the process of taking over the maintenance of an open source module that is stored within a large (well over 10,000 revisions) subversion (1.5.5) repository. I do not have admin access to the remote repository to dump/filter/load the module. The old repository is being discontinued and I am trying to sync the original sub module to my local (1.6+) repository with svnsync. For example: svnsync file://home/svn/temp-repo/ http://path.to.repo/modulename/ The problem is that the old repository didn't enforce UTF8 encoding and I'm hitting errors like: svnsync: Cannot accept 'svn:log' property because it is not encoded in UTF-8 I can't modify the log property in the source repository so I need to somehow modify or ignore the property value when the encoding is unknown/invalid. Any ideas? For example, is it possible to write a pre-revprop-change script to modify the log property in transit?

    I have been banging my head with this one more the two weeks, and still don't know what the problem is ( I can't narrow it down). The problem is the following. I have a solution with 3 project in it all written in c# and I with LINQ. One project is the main web site, the other is the data layer (communication with the database) and the third one is a custom little CMS. The problem is the following: On a hosting provider when I publish the site it all works perfectly, but this site was needed to be hosted on the client server so I needed to do that. But the problem is that I also needed to configure the client server, because they don't have an Administrator employed (I know, I know ;) ). For the first time I some how managed, to set it up but a problem appear. My main web site is working just as it suppose to be - it reads (communicates with) the database, but My CMS is not. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. So far I have tried the following: -setting time out on connection string to a higher value -configuration and after that turning off server firewall -checking the connection string over and over again (they are the same for all three projects and are saved in web.config) Important notes: I have tried executing the project from VS2008 with a connection string to the same database and the results are the same.   • HTML5 Video Tag in Chrome - Why is currentTime ignored when video downloaded from my webserver?

    I want to be able to play back video from a specific time using the HTML5 video tag (and currently only need to worry about Chrome). This is possible by setting the currentTime property of a video element. That works fine in Chrome with a video sourced from html5rocks.com, but is ignored when the same file is loaded from my own local webserver. But if I download the webm file in the source src to my local webserver, and change src to point locally: <source src="chrome_japan.webm" type='video/webm; codecs="vp8, vorbis"'/> ...then setting currentTime is complete ignored. No errors are showing in the developer tools console. Now, my webserver is serving this with mime type "video/webm", but it will be served like any old file -- not streamed. Do I need a webserver that streams in some specific way? What else could be at fault here? Note: The webserver is a proprietary platform and won't have any of the same exact settings or controls one might expect of Tomcat or some other commonly used webserver, though there may be other ways to achieve the same effect.

I have no experience with version control systems except of using Visual Source Safe in a project done by 2 people sitting in front of each other (which has shown VSS quite sack of boulders, not anything useful). Right now I am looking to grok-in using some modern VCS. Here are the preferences in descending priority order: Platform-agnostic. Pretty pleasant to use With Visual Studio 2010 on Windows as well as With NetBeans 6.9 and Eclipse 3.6 on Linux and Mac. Convenient and efficient for mutually-dependent projects done by teams of 1-10 and consisting of files of quite a diverse selection of types. Including early-stage projects with unstable design and experimenting. Modern. As fresh and future-technology-feature-rich as possible. Free & open-source. Should I take a closer look at SVN, Mercurial, GIT, Bazaar, or something else?

  • IO completion port key confusion

    I'm writing an IO completion port based server (source code here) using the Windows DLL API in Python using the ctypes module. But this is a pretty direct usage of the API and this question is directed at those who have a knowledge of IOCP, not Python. As I understand the documentation for CreateIoCompletionPort, you specify your "user defined" completion key when you call this function with a file handle (in my case a socket) you are associating with the created IOCP. When you get around to calling GetQueuedCompletionStatus, you get a completion key value along with a pointer to an overlapped object. The completion key should identify what overlapped object and request has completed. However, let's say I pass in 100 as the completion key in my CreateIoCompletionPort call with an overlapped object. When the same overlapped object has its IO completed and it arrives back through GetQueuedCompletionStatus, the completion key that accompanies it is much larger and bares no resemblance to the original value of 100. Am I misunderstanding how the completion key works, or must I be doing it wrong in the source code I linked above?

What I would like to do is have a constant image size of 99x75 pixels. Portrait images that don't fit into this will be cropped from the center (so the center of the original remains the center of the thumbnail - if that makes sense). How can I do this?

  • Will there be IQueryable-like additions to IObservable? (.NET Rx)

    The new IObservable/IObserver frameworks in the System.Reactive library coming in .NET 4.0 are very exciting (see this and this link). It may be too early to speculate, but will there also be a (for lack of a better term) IQueryable-like framework built for these new interfaces as well? One particular use case would be to assist in pre-processing events at the source, rather than in the chain of the receiving calls. For example, if you have a very 'chatty' event interface, using the Subscribe().Where(...) will receive all events through the pipeline and the client does the filtering. What I am wondering is if there will be something akin to IQueryableObservable, whereby these LINQ methods will be 'compiled' into some 'smart' Subscribe implementation in a source. I can imagine certain network server architectures that could use such a framework. Or how about an add-on to SQL Server (or any RDBMS for that matter) that would allow .NET code to receive new data notifications (triggers in code) and would need those notifications filtered server-side.

  • Eclipse Class File Metadata

    In Visual Studio, I can obtain a succinct list of public methods/members exposed in a class for which I do not have the source (i.e. bundled inside a DLL) by pressing F12 (GoToDefinition). Similarly, I am learning the Android API - in Eclipse. Jumping to an Android framework method definition produces decompilation output which is not intuitive to read, and is very verbose. To mimic results like Visual Studio, I am considering several options: How can I format the decompilation output to be 'cleaner' - I have looked through Eclipse's preferences menus and have not found a way to do this. How do I 'add corresponding source files' once Google provides it, so that jumping to definition yields the actual definition? Is there a plugin that does this already? I looked into Jadclipse, but that project has not been updated in several years, and is still a decompiler. Thank you in advance.

    Hi I am using 3-legged-oauth to import a users' Google contacts in my app. I did not find the ContactsClient library but i was using only the ContacsService and i was fetching the ContactsFeed but that resulted to not having a lot of data.     I'm trying to make the change here: http://fluxbox-wiki.org/index.php?title=Howto_Make_dblclick_titlebar_maximize I am using the current git version of the fluxbox source. I assume that those instructions are perhaps no longer valid for the current git version. In the void FluxboxWindow::setupWindow() function I can see no references to CommandRef or frame. I would like to know if it is possible that I could work out where they should go in that function, with only having a limited knowledge? I am still trying to learn programming and don't know enough just yet to work out where they should go. I assume I can't just paste in the suggested lines anywhere in that function, but why not? I can paste the source if needed, but I am unsure where to paste to.

    I'm looking for some cost-effective solutions and/or open source options for generating reports in Excel and PDF format. I realize some of the open source options may have less in terms of functionality and flexibility than the COTS versions with all the bells and whistles, but are there any options out there that fall somewhere in between? EDIT: Essentially what I'll have are just some basic HTML reports of data in tables with some calculations/summary data but nothing fancy like graphs, etc. I'll then need the ability to export these HTML reports to Excel and/or PDF.

  • Scaling an image in a scroller resizes the scroller when relative dimension are set to the scroller

    Hi, I would like to position relatively a scroller in my application like below. When I scale the image, I resize the scroller... <s:Scroller width="50%" height="50%" > <s:Group> <mx:Image id="img" source="media/paxRomana005_150dpi.jpg" /> </s:Group> </s:Scroller> If I set absolute dimension to the scroller like below, it does not resize (behaviour I want) <s:Scroller width="400" height="400" > <s:Group> <mx:Image id="img" source="media/paxRomana005_150dpi.jpg" /> </s:Group> </s:Scroller> .. but my intention is to position the scroller relatively to other components. Any explanations/solutions? Thanks
