  • Svcutil generating bad config with multiple endpoints

    - by vfilby
    I have a WCF service that has exposed a soap and an xml endpoint. When I use svcutil to generate the proxy code on the client side the generated configuration contains two endpoints which causes the client to fail. If I edit the web.config file and remove the second endpoint (with the custom binding) all works as expected. Is there a way I can get svcutil to generate a config that just works so that I don't need to hand edit the file everytime? Client-side error: An endpoint configuration section for contract 'MyNamespace.ITestService' could not be loaded because more than one endpoint configuration for that contract was found. Please indicate the preferred endpoint configuration section by name. Svcutil command: svcutil http://api.local/Test.svc /reference:bin\MyNamespace.Interface.dll /config:web.config /mergeConfig /out:"Service References\TestService.cs" /n:*,MyNamespace Generated client config: <system.serviceModel> <bindings> <basicHttpBinding> <binding name="BasicHttpBinding_ITestService" closeTimeout="00:01:00" openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:01:00" allowCookies="false" bypassProxyOnLocal="false" hostNameComparisonMode="StrongWildcard" maxBufferSize="65536" maxBufferPoolSize="524288" maxReceivedMessageSize="65536" messageEncoding="Text" textEncoding="utf-8" transferMode="Buffered" useDefaultWebProxy="true"> <readerQuotas maxDepth="32" maxStringContentLength="8192" maxArrayLength="16384" maxBytesPerRead="4096" maxNameTableCharCount="16384" /> <security mode="None"> <transport clientCredentialType="None" proxyCredentialType="None" realm="" /> <message clientCredentialType="UserName" algorithmSuite="Default" /> </security> </binding> </basicHttpBinding> <customBinding> <binding name="CustomBinding_ITestService"> <textMessageEncoding maxReadPoolSize="64" maxWritePoolSize="16" messageVersion="Soap12" writeEncoding="utf-8"> <readerQuotas maxDepth="32" maxStringContentLength="8192" maxArrayLength="16384" maxBytesPerRead="4096" maxNameTableCharCount="16384" /> </textMessageEncoding> </binding> </customBinding> </bindings> <client> <endpoint address="http://api2.local/Test.svc/soap" binding="basicHttpBinding" bindingConfiguration="BasicHttpBinding_ITestService" contract="MyNamespace.ITestService" name="BasicHttpBinding_ITestService" /> <endpoint binding="customBinding" bindingConfiguration="CustomBinding_ITestService" contract="MyNamespace.ITestService" name="CustomBinding_ITestService" /> </client> </system.serviceModel>

  • Testing Python Decorators?

    - by Jama22
I'm writing some unit tests for a Django project, and I was wondering if its possible (or necessary?) to test some of the decorators that I wrote for it. Here is an example of a decorator that I wrote: class login_required(object): def __init__(self, f): self.f = f def __call__(self, *args): request = args[0] if request.user and request.user.is_authenticated(): return self.f(*args) return redirect('/login')

  • Bash scripting know the result of a command.

    - by Fork
Hi, I am writing a bash script to run an integration test of a tool I am writing. Basically I run the application with a set of inputs and compare the results with expected values using the diff command line tool. It's working, but I would like to enhance it by knowing the result of the diff command and print "SUCCESS" or "FAIL" depending on the result of the diff. How can I do it?

  • Is there such a tool for testing

    - by kjack
Say one has a structural codebase where lots of the code is in GUI control events and has no tests. So such code, to my knowledge is not suitable for unit testing Is there a tool that can test each routine automatically replacing references to code elements external to the routine (be they functions, variables or GUI controls) with appropriate mocks(?) and record the results in a database for later comparison after code changes? So the testing program would have the duty of writing, running and reporting tests with minimal intervention?

  • asp.net with jquery valduation issue

    - by Eyla
    Greetings, I have 2 textboxs, 2 checkboxs and 2 labels. first textbox, checkbox, and label related to each other and the same for the rest. textbox should accept valid phone number based on jquery validation plugin and when the chackbox check the validation rule would change and in both option the error message would disply inside the label. I have no problem to implement that for one text box but when I add second one will have a problem and only the validation will happen for the second one only. please look at my code and advice. <script src="js/jquery-1.4.1.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="js/jquery.validate.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> var RegularExpression; var USAPhone = /^[01]?[- .]?(\([2-9]\d{2}\)|[2-9]\d{2})[- .]?\d{3}[- .]?\d{4}$/; var InterPhone = /^\d{9,12}$/; var errmsg; function ValidPhoneHome(sender) { if (sender.checked == true) { RegularExpression = InterPhone; errmsg = "Enter 9 to 12 numbers as international number"; } else { RegularExpression = USAPhone; errmsg = "Enter a valid number"; } jQuery.validator.addMethod("phonehome", function(value, element) { return this.optional(element) || RegularExpression.test(value); }, errmsg); } function ValidMobileHome(sender) { if (sender.checked == true) { RegularExpression = InterPhone; errmsg = "Enter 9 to 12 numbers as international number"; } else { RegularExpression = USAPhone; errmsg = "Enter a valid number"; } jQuery.validator.addMethod("mobilephone", function(value, element) { return this.optional(element) || RegularExpression.test(value); }, errmsg); } $(document).ready(function() { ValidPhoneHome("#<%= chkIntphoneHome%>"); ValidMobileHome("#<%= chkIntMobileHome%>"); $("#aspnetForm").validate({ rules: { "<%=txtHomePhone.UniqueID %>": { phonehome: true } } , errorLabelContainer: "#lblHomePhone", rules: { "<%=txtMobileHome.UniqueID %>": { mobilephone: true } } , errorLabelContainer: "#lblMobileHome" }) </script> <asp:CheckBox ID="chkIntphoneHome" runat="server" Text="Internation Code" onclick="ValidPhoneHome(this)" > <asp:TextBox ID="txtHomePhone" runat="server" ></asp:TextBox> <label id="lblHomePhone"></label> <asp:CheckBox ID="chkIntMobileHome" runat="server" Text="Internation Code" onclick="ValidMobileHome(this)" /> <asp:TextBox ID="txtMobileHome" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <label id="lblMobileHome"></label>

  • How-to index arrays (tags) in CouchDB using couchdb-lucene

    - by Lucas
The setup: I have a project that is using CouchDB. The documents will have a field called "tags". This "tags" field is an array of strings (e.g., "tags":["tag1","tag2","etc"]). I am using couchdb-lucene as my search provider. The question: What function can be used to get couchdb-lucene to index the elements of "tags"? If you have an idea but no test environment, type it out, I'll try it and give the result here.

  • Do fluent interfaces violate the Law of Demeter?

    - by Jakub Šturc
The wikipedia article about Law of Demeter says: The law can be stated simply as "use only one dot". However a simple example of a fluent interface may look like this: static void Main(string[] args) { new ZRLabs.Yael.Pipeline("cat.jpg") .Rotate(90) .Watermark("Monkey") .RoundCorners(100, Color.Bisque) .Save("test.png"); } So does this goes together?

  • iPhone OS 4.0 backwards compatible with 3.1/.2

    - by Typeoneerror
Title says it all. I'm building an iPhone application with a base SDK target of 3.1.x. I've got a friend who offered to test it on the OS 4.0 beta, but I'm wondering in advance if I should bother. Will my application run under 4.0 or is it not backwards compatible? I have to imagine it will since apps built for 2.x run on 3.x just fine AFAIK. Any gotchas?

  • fast sphere-grid intersection

    - by Mat
hi! given a 3D grid, a 3d point as sphere center and a radius, i'd like to quickly calculate all cells contained or intersected by the sphere. Currently i take the the (gridaligned) boundingbox of the sphere and calculate the two cells for the min anx max point of this boundingbox. then, for each cell between those two cells, i do a box-sphere intersection test. would be great if there was something more efficient thanks!

  • How do I mock a class property with mox?

    - by Harley
I have a class: class myclass(object): @property def myproperty(self): return 'hello' Using mox and py.test, how do I mock out myproperty? I've tried: mock.StubOutWithMock(myclass, 'myproperty') myclass.myproperty = 'goodbye' and mock.StubOutWithMock(myclass, 'myproperty') myclass.myproperty.AndReturns('goodbye') but both fail with AttributeError: can't set attribute.

  • DUnit: How to run tests?

    - by Ian Boyd
How do i run TestCase's from the IDE? i created a new project, with a single, simple, form: unit Unit1; interface uses Windows, Messages, SysUtils, Classes, Graphics, Controls, Forms, Dialogs, StdCtrls; type TForm1 = class(TForm) private public end; var Form1: TForm1; implementation {$R *.DFM} end. Now i'll add a test case to check that pushing Button1 does what it should: unit Unit1; interface uses Windows, Messages, SysUtils, Classes, Graphics, Controls, Forms, Dialogs, StdCtrls; type TForm1 = class(TForm) Button1: TButton; procedure Button1Click(Sender: TObject); private public end; var Form1: TForm1; implementation {$R *.DFM} uses TestFramework; type TForm1Tests = class(TTestCase) private f: TForm1; protected procedure SetUp; override; procedure TearDown; override; published procedure TestButton1Click; end; procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject); begin //todo end; { TForm1Tests } procedure TForm1Tests.SetUp; begin inherited; f := TForm1.Create(nil); end; procedure TForm1Tests.TearDown; begin f.Free; inherited; end; procedure TForm1Tests.TestButton1Click; begin f.Button1Click(nil); Self.CheckEqualsString('Hello, world!', f.Caption); end; end. Given what i've done (test code in the GUI project), how do i now trigger a run of the tests? If i push F9 then the form simply appears: Ideally there would be a button, or menu option, in the IDE saying Run DUnit Tests: Am i living in a dream-world? A fantasy land, living in a gumdrop house on lollipop lane?

  • powerbuilder: insert data using datawindow

    - by Archangel
Hi, suppose I have a table called 'test', into which there are three columns named test_id, test_name and test_age. I have used a retrieval argument called :al_test_id to promot the user to insert an id and search the database for the corresponding id entries, and if found, display it to the user. Now if no entry is found, then I want the user to be able to insert a new row using the id that he/she entered as the retrieval argument. How can I do that?

  • Executing javascript during redirect without changing original referrer

    - by git-noob
I need to test whether or not a click-through is valid by using some javascript client-side tests (e.g., browser window dimensions). However, I would like the original click referrer to remain the same. Is there a way I can do a redirect, execute some javascript, capture the browser details and then continue the click-through while keeping the original referrer value the same?
