• Comparing 2 mysql tables and updating only records that have changed

  I have the following. Two mysql tables. I want to copy info that has changed from table a to b. For example if row 1 column 2 has changed in table a I want to only update that column in table b. Table b is not the same as a but has same columns that also exist in a. The other solution I have is to just clear table b and replace it with the contents from table a, the problem with this could be that the script will take longer to execute, since there are more than 10000 records. Any advise for which method would work the best will be highly appreciated

  First I will explain the context of the problem, because you might be able to point me in a better direction. I need to implement a undo-redo like system on an object. The object has a series of dependency properties. Some are double, int, string but some are also of DependencyObject type. I need to save the value of the property before it is changed, and for this I added the CoerceValueCallback. public static readonly DependencyProperty MyBackgroundProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("MyBackground", typeof(MyCustomizableBackground), typeof(MyComponent), new UIPropertyMetadata(default(MyCustomizableBackground), null, new CoerceValueCallback(OnPropertyChanged))); In OnPropertyChanged I save the value before it's changed. MyCustomizableBackground is the DependencyObject that has also some dependency properties. The problem is that in this case, where I have a custom object as a property, the OnPropertyChanged method isn't triggered, but when I have a common type, it is triggered.

• Scheduled task username changed

  Hi, I created a user on our exchange server, but later changed the username. Now, when I create a scheduled task for that user, and change it's settings (run only when logged on), the username is automatically changed back to the old username. What's causing this and how do I make sure the correct, new username is used for the task (otherwise it won't run), security settings are okay. I did already log in with a different user to delete the profile on the computer and tried again with this user to no avail. The OS is windows xp, the exchange server is on windows server 2003.   Hi When i start to develop my application , I used iPhone version 2.0.... Now i have update Iphone version 3.0.. My simulator works fine both in iphone 2.0 as well as iphone 3.0.. But When i run my application in 2.0 all icons in the iphone should be correct . But when i run this in 3.0 my other applications icons are changed.... (Example my safari icon should be placed to itunes and itunes icon to settings likewise all icons changed) I dont know why? Can anyone help me? THanks in advance.......

  In my ASP.NET page I have to dynamically choose and load a custom control, depending on the selected value in a dropdownlist.However I encountered the following problem: When the parameters of the dynamically loaded control are changed, and then the selection in the dropdownlist is changed( thus forcing me to load a different dynamic control the next time the page reloads ), I end up with a "Cannot load ViewState" exception.I assume that this happens because the ViewState is trying to restore the parameters of the old control and it doesn't find it. So , is there any way to stop the viewstate from attempting to restore the state of the non-existig control?

  I have created one simple note taking application in jquery & php. Current functionality is like when user clicks save button it sends a ajax request with complete data to update it in db(mysql). All works well. But now I want to auto save only changed text while user typing. I don't want to send entire text to server again and again in text change event. It should send only text which has changed. For Ex: This is saved text. When user continues typing. This is saved text. Unsaved text.. It should be able to send only "Unsaved text.." to server to update in db. How can i implement this in jquery & server side script.? Any Idea..?

• Global variable not stable after platform changed.

  Our embedded system is built on a hw/sw platform made by enea. After the platform updated recently, we found some operations on the global variable keep crashing the system. For example, we have a global map structure holding some data. We can insert/iterate the map once or twice, then the address of the elements in the map suddenly changed to some forbidden addresses like 0x0 or 0x1d, the system just crash. The only different before/after the platform update is : 1) sw part: It's a c++ software and We changed the compiler from diab cc to gcc. 2) hw part: we have a new board, but the cpu is still powerpc405s. I tried every possible way but still can't figure out the reason. Any thoughts?

I've become more and more about design a la McConnell : wide use of encapsulation, quality code that gives you warm fuzzy feelings when you read it, maintainability over execution performance, etc..., whereas many of my co-workers have followed a different path of fewer middlemen layers getting in the way, code that is right out in the open and easier to locate, even if harder to read, and performance-centric designs. What have you learned about the craft of software design which has changed the way you approach coding since leaving the academic world?

  I had installed virtualbox 4.2.2 in Windows 7. • Exchange 2003 Outlook Anywhere - Changed certificate, not working

  I have a single Exchange 2003 installation which for the past 2 years has been set up for Outlook Anywhere access by means of a self-signed certificate. Just this past week I updated that certificate to a Go Daddy wildcard certificate to allow for use of our web services over https. I've updated the web listener on our ISA 2006 firewall and I can successfully use our services over https. However, my Outlook Anywhere access is now not functioning. I've installed the new wildcard certificate on my XP notebook into the Trusted Root Certificate Store but I keep getting prompted that the password is incorrect. To make things even more confusing I also have OWA set up and this works fine with the new certificate. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

  I've been having this problem for a number of days now. When I update the contents of a folder using terminal commands, by decompressing archives, or by using "Save As", the affected folder often fails to reflect these changes. Sometimes it takes quite a while for any files to be shown, even if the total size of the folder is fairly small (< 10 MB). I'm running an '09 MacBook Pro 13", so it isn't the newest system, but it certainly has enough oomph to display a list of files in a folder. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

  I am using hostapd, wireless tools with madwifi for my wireless ap in my board. The WEP, WPA-PSK connections and communications between my board with linux and my desktop PC, Windows XP SP2 (with Olitec USB wireless) are fine. But when I configured the WPA type, the connection seems established but shows the status "TKIP - Key Absent" in the security dialog box. Anyone faced this problem?   I'm using 2 and sometimes more input methods in windows I use ALT + left Shift for switching between languages. Sometimes, every once in a while, another action(s) trigger the language switch. It happens in the same application, (i.e. the input language changes for the same app without my request) or, while switching tasks with Alt-Tab, which causes language input to change in an arbitrary application's context. I realized that some of these actions could be the use of the scroll wheel button. It's super annoying How do I disable any other language switching, and stay only with alt+shift? Why does this happen? It happened to my in the past in these and more occasions: middle mouse click pressing Windows key pression Alt Tab (unknown)

• Mac Terminal: changed my shell, now can't start it

  I installed bash 4.0 via MacPorts, then used sudo chsh -s /opt/local/bin/bash my_user to change my shell. Before that I tried just running plain chsh without sudo, but it wouldn't allow me to change my shell to that path. Now when I try to start Terminal I'm getting a message that my shell has an illegal value, so Terminal won't start. I click Quit, and, unsurprisingly but annoyingly, it quits immediately. How do I reset my shell so I can start Terminal again? How do I set my shell to bash installed via MacPorts in a way that it'll work? Why does Terminal think my shell is illegal anyway? Is it siding with the neo-prohibitionists? Mac OS X 10.5.8. Everything super mega up-to-date.

  I was trying to get my dedicated server to have a couple of VPS's installed using this tutorial: http://linux-vserver.org/Installation_on_CentOS In the process I had to change a file: /etc/ssh/sshd_config The documentation advises to change it into: ListenAddress <host IP address> Guess what? I literally added <host IP address> instead of the dedicated servers IP. I restarted the server and now I'm not able to access my SSH anymore. Can anyone help me to gain access to my SSH again? I'm using CentOS 6.

  Hi Guys, AMD PC Motherboard - ASUS M3A78-EM (installed VGA drivers from ASUS website - AMD_VGA_V863200_XPVistaWin7.zip) It has VGA and HDMI inbuilt ports (ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics 256MB) VGA is connected to my ViewSonic Monitor. HDMI is connected to LG LCD TV OS - Windows 7 x64 Ultimate Sometimes, when I reboot/start my PC, my ViewSonic display resolution changes and does not show the recommended value(1440x900) in Resolution Settings. The HDMI display works well always. But after multiple reboots/starts, the problem gets fixed automatically and I get back my recommended resolution on ViewSonic display. I am not making any changes to the existing drivers. It sometimes work well, and sometimes doesn't work. Can someone assist me resolving this permanently.

• Postfix not sending/allowing receiving of messages after server (hardware) changed

  We had na old notebook runing Ubuntu 12.04 working as a web/ftp/mail server and it worked but since the notebook was a notebook and pretty old and unreliable, a desktop was bought to replace it before it stopped working all together. Due to issues with the new desktop's vídeo card, we couldn't use Ubuntu 12.04 so we installed Ubuntu 13.10 and wen't about configuring it. Since we removed the notebook from the network, we kept the same Computer Name and local IP address to make things as close to the old server as possible configuration-wise. However, something has gone wrong since Postfix is throwing error 451 4.3.0 lookup faillure on every attempt to send a mail, and no email can be received either. Our main.cf file is a copy of the one we were using (and working) on the old server (notice we use EHCP) # See /usr/share/postfix/main.cf.dist for a commented, more complete version # Debian specific: Specifying a file name will cause the first # line of that file to be used as the name. Server replied: Requested action aborted: error in processing 451 4.3.0 <[email protected]>: Temporary lookup failure And i can't send mail to it from outsider either. Any ideas? EDIT: Here are some issues MXToolBox reports to my domain, answering hopefully to @Teun Vink: BlackList Mail Server Web Server DNS Error 4 0 2 0 Warnings 0 0 0 3 Passed 0 6 3 12 So the domain is on some blacklist, but that doesn't explain the error at all No mail server issues found (except it's not working) Those two web server errors it's because i don't have HTTPS workin (No SSL Certificate) so the test fails Those 3 DNS warnings we're already there when it was working with the other machine and are related to stuff i can't control: SOA Refresh Value is outside of the recommended range SOA Expire Value out of recommended range SOA NXDOMAIN Value too high I've searched and as far as i can tell only the guys who sold the retail can change those values and they won't. Edit2: I half solved the issue.on the new machine postfix was installed but postfix-mysql waasn't so he couldn't connect to the database (rookie mistake). After fixing that, i can now send mails to the outsider without any issues, however i am still not able to receive mails from utside. • whois returns correct changed date but wrong nameservers

  I was just told by 1&1 customer support that "the date in the whois could show correctly while the nameservers information being the old one" I though the whole document was stamped at once, not "built" from different data sources. Am I being lied to? or how is that possible? The site is not visible yet, the whois shows correct date the change was made, and the nameservers are still wrong in that report/record/document and of course in the world's dns servers.

• Stupid question: prevent file from being changed under linux

  Ok. Stupid question. I have forgotten what this is called and without remembering the name the search function on the site and on google is failing me. What's the command under linux to mark a file as "locked"/to prevent any changes from being made to it? I'm not talking about chmod. There's a property that can be set (again the name escapes me at the moment) which prevents even processes running as root from changing a file. What is this called and how do I set it?
