  • How do I add a version number field to an office 2007 docx document?

    I've been having a crack at using fields in Word 2007 and have hit a slight stumbling block. I want to add a field which I can use in several parts of the document to represent the current version (something of the form v0.1 but I can't see an obvious way to do it). The only provision I've found for this is something called RevNum but that gets updated every time I save the document. Is there a field I've missed or a way of adding custom fields or something?

    I'm making a racing game with cars in Unity. The car has a boost/nitro powerup. While boosting, I wouldn't want to be deviated when colliding with zombies, but I do want to be deviated when colliding with walls. On the other hand, I don't want to ignore collision with zombies, because I still want to hit them on impact. How should I handle this? Basically, what I want is for the car to not rotate when colliding with certain objects.

  • why google ignore my links page?

    I have a website, where im loading all the data via AJAX. since, google doesn't work with AJAX, and the ways to make it AJAX-friendly are a bit odd, i thought that by creating a links page, where it links, from server side, to all the links that im loading in ajax - will solve the problem. but unfortunately, that doesnt seem to work. google webmaster shows that even though my links page discovered, the content of it - the links - are totally ignored. I can only assume that google tend to ignore links in such pages. my question is - WHY?! and furthermore, how to overcome this. Thanks.

    I have a player that shoots in the direction that it is facing. However, the shot that is created when I click, also destroys the player. How would I make the shot ignore collision with the player? Or better yet, how to make a shot destroy anything it touches and destroy itself without affecting the player? This is the code that controls collisions: function OnTriggerEnter (col : Collider) { Destroy(col.gameObject); } The shot is a trigger, but the player isn't.     I'm trying to make a LensFlare effect when the player watch the sun in my XNA 4.0 Game. To do this, I use OcclusionQuery, here's my code: http://pastebin.com/meAkdwmD I also have some models, a terrain and a skybox. Here's my main Draw code: terrain.Draw(); model1.Draw(); model2.Draw(); skybox.Draw(); lensFlare.UpdateOcclusion(); lensFlare.Draw(); The problem is that the occlusion considers the sun to be behind the skybox, and the lensFlare wasn't showing up. So I moved lensFlare.UpdateOcclusion() before the drawing of the Skybox, and now the lensFlare appears, but my skybox is blinking (it's like it disappear and reappear at each frames...) How do I ignore the skybox in the occlusion?

  • Increment non unique field during SQL insert

    I'm not sure how to word this cause I am a little confused at the moment, so bare with me while I attempt to explain, I have a table with the following fields: OrderLineID, OrderID, OrderLine, and a few other unimportant ones. OrderLineID is the primary key and is always unique(which isn't a problem), OrderID is a foreign key that isn't unique(also not a problem), and OrderLine is a value that is not unique in the table, but should be unique for any OrderIDs that are the same...so if that didn't make sense, perhaps a picture OrderLineID, OrderID, OrderLine 1 1 1 2 1 2 3 1 3 4 2 1 5 2 2 For all OrderIDs there is a unique OrderLine. I am trying to create an insert statement that gets the max OrderLine value for a specific OrderId so I can increment it, but it's not working so well and I could use a little help. What I have right now is below, I build the sql statement in a program and replace OrderID # with an actual value. I am pretty sure the problem is with the nested select statement, and incrementing the result, but I can't find any examples that do this since my google skills are weak apparently.... INSERT INTO tblOrderLine (OrderID, OrderLine) VALUES (<OrderID #>, (SELECT MAX(OrderLine) FROM tblOrderLine WHERE orderID = <same OrderID #>)+1) any help would be nice.

  • How to mark a method as "ignore all handled exception" + "step through"? Even when user has selected

    I want to mark a method as "debug step through" even if an exception is thrown (and catched within) the function. This is because 99% of the times I know this function will throw an exception (Assembly.GetTypes), and since this function is in a library I wish to hide this normal exception. (Why did MS not add an exceptionless GetTypes() call?)     I have a C# 2.0 application where a base interface allows read-only access to a value in a concrete class. But, within the concrete class, I'd like to have read/write access to that value. So, I have an implementation like this: public abstract class Base { public abstract DateTime StartTime { get; } } public class Foo : Base { DateTime start_time_; public override DateTime StartTime { get { return start_time_; } internal set { start_time_ = value; } } } But, this gives me the error: Foo.cs(200,22): error CS0546: 'Foo.StartTime.set': cannot override because 'Base.StartTime' does not have an overridable set accessor I don't want the base class to have write access. But, I do want the concrete class to provide read/write access. Is there a way to make this work? Thanks, PaulH Unfortunately, Base can't be changed to an interface as it contains non-abstract functionality also. Something I should have thought to put in the original problem description. public abstract class Base { public abstract DateTime StartTime { get; } public void Buzz() { // do something interesting... } } My solution is to do this: public class Foo : Base { DateTime start_time_; public override DateTime StartTime { get { return start_time_; } } internal void SetStartTime { start_time_ = value; } } It's not as nice as I'd like, but it works.

I'm trying to create a form that when one text input is filled out a second is auto-populated with the first letter of the word that is in the first text input. I'm thinking I can limit the second text input to one character to help get the desired result, but I'm not having luck finding the javascript to get the second text input to auto-populate from the first. Any suggestions?

  • Django Custom Field: Only run to_python() on values from DB?

    How can I ensure that my custom field's *to_python()* method is only called when the data in the field has been loaded from the DB? I'm trying to use a Custom Field to handle the Base64 Encoding/Decoding of a single model property. Everything appeared to be working correctly until I instantiated a new instance of the model and set this property with its plaintext value...at that point, Django tried to decode the field but failed because it was plaintext. The allure of the Custom Field implementation was that I thought I could handle 100% of the encoding/decoding logic there, so that no other part of my code ever needed to know about it. What am I doing wrong?   • Naming boolean field that is a verb

    In Java, by convention getter and setter for boolean fields will be isField() and setField(). This works perfectly fine with field names that are adjectives like active, visible, closed, etc. But how do I name a field that has meaning of a verb, like haveChildren? Add _ing to the verb (havingChildren), maybe? Edit: to clarify, I don't have control of the method names (getter and setter), they are auto-generated by the IDE. So what I need is an appropriate field name so that when the IDE generate a getter for it, it make senses. For example, hasChildren is a perfect field name, but when the IDE generate the getter for the field it would be isHasChildren. How do I solve this?

    I have a two-dimensional vector field, i.e., for each point (x, y) I have a vector (u, v), whereas u and v are functions of x and y. This vector field canonically defines a set of trajectories, i.e. a set of paths a particle would take if it follows along the vector field. In the following image, the vector field is depicted in red, and there are four trajectories which are partly visible, depicted in dark red: I need an algorithm which efficiently calculates some trajectories for a given vector field. The trajectories must satisfy some kind of minimum denseness in the plane (for every point in the plane we must have a 'nearby' trajectory), or some other condition to get a reasonable set of trajectories. I could not find anything useful on Google on this, and Stackexchange doesn't seem to handle the topic either. Before I start devising such an algorithm by myself: Are there any known algorithms for this problem? What is their name, for which keywords do I have to search?

    Hi, I've created a custom user model in my application. This user model is working fine, but there are a couple of problems I have with it. 1) The change password link in the my register.html page doesn't work? 2) The default password box on the add/edit page for a user is a little unfriendly. Ideally, what I'd like is the two password fields from the change password form on the add/edit user form in the admin, which will automatically turn convert the entered password into a valid encrypted password in Django. This would make the admin system MUCH friendlier and much more suited to my needs, as a fair number of user accounts will be created and maintained manually in this app, and the person responsible for doing so will likely be scared off at the sight of that admin field, or just type a clear text password and wonder why it doesn't work. Is this possible / How do I do this?
