  • CPU frequancy stuck at 1.20 GHz using TLP?

    I have installed TLP for power optimization on Ubuntu 13.10. Instructions I start computer its running fine I can change the CPU frequencies to whatever I want, but after some time it stuck on minimum frequency 1.20 GHz, I cant change that to anything else. I have tried to stop it by using sudo tlp stop but it doesn't stop. Tried even to kill its process sudo killall tlp but it seems they have a different name of process of that so i am not sure what to do now. I reported to the linrunner but cant seem to find a solution

  • Google page rank not showing after redirecting www to non www?

    i have a fashion website. i had redirected my domain htttp:// (non www) to http:// www domain and my preferred domain in Google webmaster tools was http:// www. Now i have redirected http:// www to http:// domain and have changed my prefered domain as well. Now Google PageRank is not showing for even a single page.   • Network strange problem

    I have a CPanel server with 5 IPs and a few domains. During night, access to main domain through HTTP return 324 no response many times. After several refresh it comes but many assets won't load and return 324. Using HTTPS is fine. During day HTTP is also fine. But another domain on that very sever works fine all the day through HTTP. The server DNS are ns1 and ns2 of the first domain. Second domain is on the shared IP and first domain has a dedicated IP. I cant resolve the problem :( and appreciate any help so much!

As I understand it, Oracle retired the Operating System Distributor's License for Java, meaning that Canonical could no longer include the JDK or JRE in their APT repositories. This means no more "sudo apt-get install sun-java-whatever". I just following this tutorial and other question but i still can't installing the jdk. How do I install oracle jdk 7 on ubuntu server 12.04? Thanks in advance

    I tried to remove fs icons from my system and i get the error E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it? what is the problem???..... Note: After downloading the package i couldn't fin it in my Downloads. I used the following command sudo apt-get remove fs-icons-ubuntu

  • Mobile broadband not connect without unplug and plug

    I have recently installed ubuntu 13.10 and I am still very new in this operating system. My problem is that when I start my computer, it detects all the wifi connections around but not my mobile broadband usb connection (huwaie). I dont get any mobile broadband section automatically. I have to unplug and then plug my broadband usb to connect and have mobile broadband section available. I dont like to unplug and then plug my device always as it will loose my laptop and I always want to be plug in laptop even in shutdown. I always want to auto detect my usb broadband by ubuntu. Please someone guide me. Thanks in advance.

    I am a new user for Ubuntu. I downloaded 13.10 yesterday and made a bootable USB with universal USB installer on my Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 laptop which is now using UEFI; everything appeared OK. When I booted from the LiveUSB I got the choices of trying or installing Ubuntu but both of them keep giving me these error: [ 1.929082] kernel panic-not syncing vfs unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0.0) Please tell me what is going wrong?

    I find completely contradicting reviews for the VERY same book on amazon and even some book writers are rewarding people for good reviews so basically most of the reviews are totally fake ! You can even figure it out from the reviewer name, which you'll similar to the writer's name and assume that they could actually be from the same country and the reviewer is just being helpful, to the book writer of course ! I can't make my mind for which book I should buy ! I only need a book or two that covers the Java associate and professional topics very well, not just an overview, I need a material that covers everything from A to Z. Even though I've been developing in Java for around 4.5 years but I must not know a detail or two. Would someone kindly shed some light on a good book based on actual experience with the book ?     I am working on a Facebook for which I need to get all the Profile Pictures of Friends of the users. Which I did using FQL query. I need these images for creating a poster of all the Friends Profile pics along tags in them. For that I need to create a Dynamic poster for every user with their Friends tagged in them. I tried using the GD Library for PHP. I tried with the imagecreatefromjpeg() function of php for which I can use one image and pass it to the main image. But here I have more than 1 images (average about 100 images) depending on the number of friends the user has. What function do I need to create this dynamic poster ? Please any help would be appreciated !!

  • mysql utf8 turkish characters not correct recognized

    Hello, In mysql utf8 coded turkish data i can't search "I" and "i". when i search its giving result contains "Y" or "y". Because in latin1 "I" displaying as "Ý" and "i" as "ý". in latin1 data i was used latin1_general_ci for correct result. but there is not alternative collation for utf8. its already utf8_general_ci. is there any other people have some problems or do you have a solution. thanks. i have tried stackoverflow search engine to for this problem. if its have mysql and utf8 then my work true. try search "alI" and "ali". both search give another result. but both same in turkish. the "I" is capital i and capital "I" is "i" in turkish.
