  • Choose Custom New Tab Pages in Chrome

    For most people the default New Tab Page in Chrome works perfectly well for their purposes. But if you would prefer to choose what opens in a new tab for yourself then you will definitely want to have a look at the “Define your own new tab!” extension for Google Chrome. Before Unless you are using a Speed Dial (or similar) extension each time you click on the “New Tab Button” you get the same old page. It would certainly be a lot more satisfying if you could choose custom webpage(s) to open as new tabs. After Once you have the extension installed the best thing to do is click on the “New Tab Button”. That will open up the “Options Page” where you can enter one or two custom website URLs of your choosing. Once you have your custom URLs entered click on “Save”. As soon as you click on the “New Tab Button” your new custom webpage(s) will open. If you chose two webpages the first choice will open focused on the “right side” instead of the “left”. Clicking on the “Home Button” will also open the webpage(s) that you chose. The webpage(s) that you chose will also open as your starting “Home Pages” each time that you start your browser. Conclusion If you have wanted to choose your own custom “New Tab Page” then this is the extension that you have been waiting for.   • Excel and Tab Delimited Files Question

    I am encountering what I believe to be a strange issue with Excel (in this case, Excel 2007, but maybe also Excel 2003, but don't have access to it as I write this). I can reliably convert some server data over into a tab-delimited format (been doing this for years) and then open it using Excel - no issue. However, what seems to be happening is if I have an html <table inside one of the fields, it looks like Excel 2007 thinks it should be converting the table into rows and columns inside Excel (not what I want). As you might imagine, this throws off the entire spreadsheet. So question is, is there any way to set up excel to NOT do this (perhaps some setting in Excel that pertains to reading tab delimited files), or am I missing something? Thanks.

I tried to convert this to pure Prolog. go:- Total = 1505, Prices = [215, 275, 335, 355, 420, 580], length(Prices, N), length(Amounts, N), totalCost(Prices, Amounts, 0, Total), writeln(Total). totalCost([], [], TotalSoFar, TotalSoFar). totalCost([P|Prices], [A|Amounts], TotalSoFar, EndTotal):- between(0, 10, A), Cost is P*A, TotalSoFar1 is TotalSoFar + Cost, totalCost(Prices, Amounts, TotalSoFar1, EndTotal). I don't think that this is the best / most declarative solution that one can come up with. Does anyone have any suggestions for improvement? Thanks in advance!

  • App disappears from Win7's ALT-TAB list sometimes

    I've been having some trouble with one of my Delphi 2010 projects lately. It seems that sometimes, when I have a form open as a modal dialog, the app stops showing up in the ALT-TAB list until I close the dialog. It's still in the Taskbar, but not in ALT-TAB, which means I can't switch to it without using the mouse. Running under Windows 7, 64-bit. Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what causes it and how to fix it?

It was designed with tab for each search type, but I want to make the url when changing the tab user friendly and good for SEO. Is it better to have a url for search result like this www.example.com/search/{search_keyword}/{tab} or www.example.com/search/{search_keyword}?tab={tab} or www.example.com/search/?search={search_keyword}&tab={tab} where {search_keyword} is the keyword that user input, and {tab} is either brands / item / content, because when I look at facebook, stackoverflow, and some other website, they use query string for their search keyword Edit My past url is only www.example.com/search/{search_keyword}, and I just added the tab design recently. Consider that I should go with option 1 from the above option, should I make www.example.com/search/{search_keyword} the default for 1 of the 3 tab, and make the other 2 tab with www.example.com/search/{search_keyword}/{tab} to retain the score for the page, or should I make all the tab url with www.example.com/search/{search_keyword}/{tab} and use a permanent redirect from www.example.com/search/{search_keyword} to one of the url tab

    Some MS Office users were put off a bit by the Ribbon feature in 2007 for being cumbersome and confusing. Today we look at a cool new feature in Office 2010 that allows you to create your own custom tabs with specific commands for easier document creation. Create a Customized Tab In our example we’re using Word, but you can create a custom tab in the other Office apps as well. To do so, right-click on the Ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon. The Word Options screen opens up and from here you can manage a lot of customization options. We want to create a new customized tab, so click on the New Tab button.   Now give it a name… Now just drag the commands you want to add from the left column over to your new custom group. You have every command available to choose from. You can select specific groups or all commands from the dropdown menu on the left. That is all there is to it…now you have your own customized tab with the commands you use most often to help you work more efficiently. In this example We didn’t add a whole lot of commands, but you can customize it with as many as you need. You can also create other tabs with different sets of commands too. When you create a customized tab in one application, it’s only going to be in that app. For example if you create on in Word, it’s not going to show in Excel as commands differ between apps.     Does anyone know of a Firefox plugin that would enable tab-completion (or some other key sequence like Alt-L) of items in drop-down lists in web forms? e.g. ou<TAB>in<TAB>s<TAB> for 'OurCompany - Internal Support' Vimperator's hints mode makes it very ergonomic to focus the drop-down list with a key sequence like f13 but the keyboard interface to the drop-down list still sucks. I very frequently have to pick items from a very long list with very long common prefixes among the entries (e.g. 30-40 starting with OurCompany -), which renders both the built-in keyboard interface and the mouse pretty slow and unergonomic. I basically want readline support for filling webforms!

    Having a bit of trouble with Mouse.show() and losing focus of the swf This isn't my demo: but its showing the same bug http://www.foundation-flash.com/tutorials/as3customcursors/ What i do to recreate it is: mouse over the swf, hit cmd+tab to highlight another window, result is that the mouse is not brought back and is still invisible, (to get it back go to the window bar at the top of the screen and click something).   • Bind shift-tab to complete-backward in fish

    I found myself using the auto-complete functionality of the fish-shell, where pressing tab twice or more cycles through the suggestions. But then I accidentaly pressed tab once to many, and I wanted to go back to the previous suggestion, so I pressed shift-tab, which only appended [z to the command. For example, when I type cd D<tab><tab>: ~> cd Desktop/ I press <tab>, result: ~> cd Documents/ Now when I press <shift+tab>, the prompt changes to ~> cd Documents/[Z instead of returning to the desired: ~> cd Desktop/ How do I do this (preferably using the fish_user_key_bindings.fish file)? The documentation only provides the special function complete.
