  • Data table to Excel conversion leaves my server side button non responsive

    - by Nikhil Vaghela
We have a web part on which we display some data in a grid. We are exporting grid's underlying datatable to Excel and displaying Open - Save - Cancel dialouge box on click of a server side button. Following is the code we are executing on click of server side button. this.Page.Response.Clear(); this.Page.Response.AppendHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=MyTasks.xls"); this.Page.Response.ContentType = "application/ms-excel"; this.Page.Response.Write("...here goes my well formated html...."); this.Page.Response.End(); Problem is that when i click on Cancel in the diaglouge box then dialogue box to Open/Save excel disappears but all the server side buttons placed on my web part becomes non responsive, on click of any of those buttons their server side click event does not get fired !!! Any idea ? Thanks.

  • Integer to byte conversion

    - by quano
Say I've got an integer, 13941412, that I wish to separate into bytes (the number is actually a color in the form 0x00bbggrr). How would you do that? In c, you'd cast the number to a BYTE and then shift the bits. How do you cast to byte in Python?

  • UTC-8 conversion

    - by leachianus
Hey guys, I am grabbing a JSON array and storing it in a NSArray, however it includes JSON encoded UTF-8 strings, for example pass\u00e9 represents passé. I need a way of converting all of these different types of strings into the actual character. I have an entire NSArray to convert. Or I can convert it when it is being displayed, which ever is easiest. I found this chart http://tntluoma.com/sidebars/codes/ is there a convenience method for this or a library I can download? thanks, BTW, there is no way I can find to change the server so I can only fix it on my end...

  • iPhone NSDateFormatter Timezone Conversion

    - by MobileDeveloperTips
I am trying to create a formatter that will convert the date format shown to an NSDate object: NSString *dateStr = @"2010-06-21T19:00:00-05:00"; NSDateFormatter *dateFormat = [[NSDateFormatter alloc] init]; [dateFormat setDateFormat:@"yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssZZZ"]; NSDate *date = [dateFormat dateFromString:dateStr]; The issue is the timezone -05:00, which is not parsed properly with the format above. Any suggestions?

  • automatic xml conversion in scala

    - by Jeff Bowman
Let's say I have the following class: class Person(val firstName:String, val lastName:String) Is there an automatic way to generate xml from this class without having to hand create a toXml() method? Ideally the output would be something like: <Person <firstNameJohn</firstName <lastNameSmith</lastName </Person It seems like there should be a way to do this without having to write all that out manually. Perhaps there is a trait I haven't found yet?

  • 32bit to 64bit sql server 2008 database conversion

    - by Eric
We are in the process of moving databases from older 32 bit hardware running sql 2005 to newer hardware with sql 2008 64 bit. My question is if the database is automatically converted to 64bit after it is reattached on the new server or if it is running in 32bit mode on a 64bit instance. Is there a way to tell?

  • PHP file outside doc root needs files outside and inside the document root

    - by jax
I have a library of classes, all interrelated. Some files are inside the document root and some are outside using the <Directory> and Alias features in httpd.conf Assuming I have 3 files: webroot.php (Inside the document root) alias_directory.php (Inside a folder outside the doc root) alias_directory2.php (Inside a **different** folder outside the doc root) If alias_directory2.php needs both webroot.php and alias_directory.php, This does not work. (Remember alias_directory.php and alias_directory2.php are not in the same locations) require_once $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/webroot.php'; //(ok) require_once $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/alias_directory.php'; //(not ok) This does not work because alias_directory.php is not in the doc root. Similarly require_once $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/webroot.php'; //(ok) require_once dirname(__FILE__).'/alias_directory.php'; //(not ok) The problem here is that dirname(__FILE__) will return the path for alias_directory2.php not alias_directory.php. This works: require_once $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/webroot.php'; //(ok) require_once '/full/path/to/directory/alias_directory.php'; //(ok) But is very nasty and is a maintenance nightmare if I decide to move my library to another location. How do I solve this problem, is seems that I need a way to resolve an Alias folder properly.

  • "no inclosing instance error " while getting top term frequencies for document from Lucene index

    - by Julia
Hello ! I am trying to get the most occurring term frequencies for every particular document in Lucene index. I am trying to set the treshold of top occuring terms that I care about, maybe 20 However, I am getting the "no inclosing instance of type DisplayTermVectors is accessible" when calling Comparator... So to this function I pass vector of every document and max top terms i would like to know protected static Collection getTopTerms(TermFreqVector tfv, int maxTerms){ String[] terms = tfv.getTerms(); int[] tFreqs = tfv.getTermFrequencies(); List result = new ArrayList(terms.length); for (int i = 0; i < tFreqs.length; i++) { TermFrq tf = new TermFrq(terms[i], tFreqs[i]); result.add(tf); } Collections.sort(result, new FreqComparator()); if(maxTerms < result.size()){ result = result.subList(0, maxTerms); } return result; } /Class for objects to hold the term/freq pairs/ static class TermFrq{ private String term; private int freq; public TermFrq(String term, int freq){ this.term = term; this.freq = freq; } public String getTerm(){ return this.term; } public int getFreq(){ return this.freq; } } /*Comparator to compare the objects by the frequency*/ class FreqComparator implements Comparator{ public int compare(Object pair1, Object pair2){ int f1 = ((TermFrq)pair1).getFreq(); int f2 = ((TermFrq)pair2).getFreq(); if(f1 > f2) return 1; else if(f1 < f2) return -1; else return 0; } } Explanations and corrections i will very much appreciate, and also if someone else had experience with term frequency extraction and did it better way, I am opened to all suggestions! Please help!!!! Thanx!

  • A more effecient millisecond conversion method?

    - by cube
    I am currently using this method to convert milliseconds to min:sec:1/10sec. However it does not seem to be efficient at all. Would anyone know of a faster more efficient and optimized way of accomplishing the same. mills.prototype.formatTime = function(time) { var elapsedTime = (time * 1000); //Minutes var elapsedM = (elapsedTime/60000)|0; var remaining = elapsedTime - (elapsedM * 60000); //add a leading zero if it's a single digit number if (elapsedM < 10) { elapsedM = "0"+elapsedM; } //Seconds var elapsedS = ((remaining/1000)|0); remaining -= (elapsedS*1000); ////add leading zero if (elapsedS<10) { elapsedS = "0"+elapsedS; } //Hundredths var elapsedFractions = ((remaining/10)|0); if (elapsedFractions < 10) { elapsedFractions = "0"+elapsedFractions; } //display results nicely var time_data = elapsedM+":"+elapsedS+":"+elapsedFractions; //return time_data; return[time_data,elapsedM,elapsedS,elapsedFractions] };

  • HeadJS ready for both document and script

    - by Yashua
Current code: head.ready(function() { console.log($('.thing a').val()); }); It will sometimes fail with error that $ is not ready. I have loaded jquuery earlier with the label 'jquery'. Neither of these work: head.ready(document, function() { console.log($('.thing a').val()); }); head.ready('jquery', function() { console.log($('.thing a').val()); }); I would like to not do this if possible: head.ready(document, function() { head.ready('jquery', function() { console.log($('.thing a').val()); }); }); And also avoid refactoring current code to place that snippet at bottom of body though that I think may be the solution. Is it possible with HeadJS to define a ready call() using head.ready(), that is not placed at the bottom, that will wait for both a labeled script and the DOM to be loaded? UPDATE: the nested script doesn't actually work. I think the inner one erases/superseds the other :(

  • How to override JS function from a firefox extension?

    - by BruceBerry
Hello, I am trying to intercept calls to document.write for all pages. Setting up the interception inside the page by injecting a script like function overrideDocWrite() { alert("Override called"); document.write = function(w) { return function(s) { alert("special dom"); w.call(this, wrapString(s)); }; }(document.write); alert("Override finished"); } is easy and works, but i would like my extension to setup the interception for each document object from inside the extension. I couldn't find a way to do this. I tried to listen for the "load" event and set up the interception there but it also fails. How do I hook calls to doc.write from an extension?

  • python dictionary conversion from string?

    - by shahjapan
if I've string like "{ partner_name = test_partner}" OR " { partner_name : test_partner } its an example string will be very complex with several special characters included like =, [ , ] , { , } what will be the best way to convert it into a python object - so I can process it I tried with eval but it requires " ' " for string, but how can we add this special character \' before starting and ending of every word, I tried regular express re.findal('\w+') but it fails when my string contains ' _ ' or like characters as it will separate the string by ' _ ' Object of this question is my application needs, user friendly language as input - and I thought Json Dict will be good - but user is lazzy to put " ' " before and after of each string... then I thought for yaml but its also complex, if anybody can suggest better user friendly input which I use as python object - then please help me out.

  • lua metatable __lt __le __eq forced boolean conversion of return value

    - by chris g.
Overloading __eq, __lt, and __le in a metatable always converts the returning value to a boolean. Is there a way to access the actual return value? This would be used in the following little lua script to create an expression tree for an argument usage: print(_.a + _.b - _.c * _.d + _.a) -> prints "(((a+b)-(c*d))+a)" which is perfectly what I would like to have but it doesn't work for print(_.a == _.b) since the return value gets converted to a boolean ps: print should be replaced later with a function processing the expression tree -- snip from lua script -- function binop(op1,op2, event) if op1[event] then return op1[event](op1, op2) end if op2[event] then return op2[event](op1, op2) end return nil end function eq(op1, op2)return binop(op1,op2, "eq") end ... function div(op1, op2)return binop(op1,op2, "div") end function exprObj(tostr) expr = { eq = binExpr("=="), lt = binExpr("<"), le = binExpr("<="), add = binExpr("+"), sub=binExpr("-"), mul = binExpr("*"), div= binExpr("/") } setmetatable(expr, { __eq = eq, __lt = lt, __le = le, __add = add, __sub = sub, __mul = mul, __div = div, __tostring = tostr }) return expr end function binExpr(exprType) function binExprBind(lhs, rhs) return exprObj(function(op) return "(" .. tostring(lhs) .. exprType .. tostring(rhs) .. ")" end) end return binExprBind end function varExpr(obj, name) return exprObj(function() return name end) end _ = {} setmetatable(_, { __index = varExpr }) -- snap -- Modifing the lua vm IS an option, however it would be nice if I could use an official release

  • easy hex/float conversion

    - by yeus
I am doing some input/output between a c++ and a python program (only floating point values) python has a nice feature of converting floating point values to hex-numbers and back as you can see in this link: http://docs.python.org/library/stdtypes.html#additional-methods-on-float Is there an easy way in C++ to to something similar? and convert the python output back to C++ double/float? This way I would not have the problem of rounding errors when exchanging data between the two processes... thx for the answers!

  • Using JS script for "raining images". Can't seem to hide pre-loaded image

    - by user1813605
I am trying to hide an image in a script pre-loading on the page. Below script makes images "rain" down the screen onClick. It functions well, but it displays the pre-loaded image itself on the page before the button is clicked. I'm trying to hide the image until the button is pressed. If anyone has any insight on how to hide the image until the function dispenseMittens() runs, I'd be eternally grateful :) Thanks! <script language="javascript"> var pictureSrc = 'mitten.gif'; //the location of the mittens var pictureWidth = 40; //the width of the mittens var pictureHeight = 46; //the height of the mittens var numFlakes = 10; //the number of mittens var downSpeed = 0.01; var lrFlakes = 10; var EmergencyMittens = false; //safety checks. • .net printing multiple reports in one document (architecture question)

    - by LawsonM
I understand how to print a single document via the PrintDocument class. However, I want to print multiple reports in one document. Each "report" will consist of charts, tables, etc. I want to have two reports per page. I've studied the few examples I can find on how to combine multiple documents into one; however, they always seem to work by creating a collection of objects (e.g. customer or order) that are then iterated over and drawn in the OnPrintPage method. My problem and hence the "architecture" question is that I don't want to cache the objects required to produce the report since they are very large and memory intensive. I'd simply like the resulting "report". One thought I had was to print the report to a metafile, cache that instead in a "MultiplePrintDocument" class and then position those images appropriately two to a page in the OnPrintPage method. I think this would be a lot more efficient and scalable in my case. But I'm not a professional programmer and can't figure out if I'm barking up the wrong tree here. I think the Graphics.BeginContainer and Graphics.Save methods might be relevant, but can't figure out how to implement or if there is a better way. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  • Multiple jQuery includes in a document

    - by bah
Hi, I have a document which uses old jQuery and I need new jQuery for a particular plug-in. My document structure looks like this: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="jQuery.old.js"></script> </head> <body> <script> $("#elem").doSomething(); // use old jQuery </script> <!-------- My plugin begins --------> <script type="text/javascript" src="jQuery.new.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="jQuery.doSomething.js"></script> <script> $().ready(function(){ $("#elem").doSomething(); // use new jQuery }); </script> <div id="elem"></div> <!-------- My plugin ends ----------> <script> $("#elem").doSomething(); // use old jQuery </script> </body> </html> I have googled for this question but found nothing that would look like my case (I need first to load old javascript (in the head) and THEN new (in the body). By the way, in the Firefox looks like old jQuery lib loads and scripts that depends on it works, but script that uses new version, and in IE and Chrome everything is exactly opposite.

  • Data conversion from accelerometer

Hi all I am working on an accelerometer bma220 , and its datasheet says that data is in 2's complement form.So what i had to do was getting that 8 bit data in any 8 bit signed char and done. the bma220 have an 8 bit register of which first 6 bits are data and last two are zero. void properdata(int16_t *msgData) { printf("\nin proper data\n"); int16_t temp, i; for(i=0; i<3; i++) { temp = *(msgData + i); printf("temp = %d sense = %d\n", temp, sense); temp = temp >> 2; // only 6 bits data temp = temp / sense; //decimal value * .0625 = value in g printf("temp = %d\n", temp); } } in this program i am taking data in a unsigned variable msgdata and doing all the calculations on a signed variable. I just need to know if this is the correct way to convert data?

  • Runtime error in C code (strange double conversion)

But in the Decimals comparison, I always get that the second number is larger than the first number, which is false. I am pretty new to C and programming in general, so this is a complex application to me. #include <stdio.h> #include <stdbool.h> #include <stdlib.h> int choose; long long neLimit = -1000000000; long long limit = 1000000000; bool big(a,b) { if ((a >= limit) || (b >= limit)) return true; else if ((a <= neLimit) || (b <= neLimit)) return true; return false; } void largerr(a,b) { if (a > b) printf("\nThe First Number is larger ..\n"); else if (a < b) printf("\nThe Second Number is larger ..\n"); else printf("\nThe Two Numbers are Equal .. \n"); } int main() { system("color e && title Numbers Comparison && echo off && cls"); start:{ printf("Choose a Type of Comparison :\n\t1.
