• JSTL XML Transforms not working with nested XSL includes

  I have a bit of JSP that does this: <c:import url="/xsl/Transformer.xsl" var="xslt" /> <x:transform doc="${actionBean.dom}" xslt="${xslt}" xsltSystemId="/xsl/"> This transforms the XML exactly as expected so long as Transformer.xsl contains no <xsl:include> tags or so long as any documents it does include do not include anything. However, if I use an XSL which includes a document which in turn includes another document, I get the following error: ERROR: 'Invalid URI 'NestedInclude.xsl Could not resolve entity reference: "NestedInclude.xsl"'.' Note that the JSP is contained in the directory below the xsl documents. If all my XSLs and JSPs are in the same directory (and I remove the xsltSystemId attribute) then everything would work fine, but I don't really want to do this. Can anyone see anything I'm doing wrong, as it's a bit of a killer at the moment and the JSTL documentation is next to useless.

  Hi, I know this has been discussed a million times. I tried searching through the forums and have seen some close regex expressions and tried to modify them but to no avail. Say there is a line in a csv file like this: "123", 456, "701 "B" Street", 910 Is there an easy regex to detect "B" (since its a non-escaped set of quotes within the normal CSV quotes) and replace it with something like \"B\" ? The final string would end up looking like this: "123", 456, "701 \"B\" Street", 910 Help would be greatly appreciated!

  I have a UserControlParent that dynamically loads UserControlChild. In the UserControlChild, I store a value using the ViewState object by doing a ViewState["count"] = myCount; On Postbacks, the ViewState returns a null. Is this because the UserControlChild is being loaded dynamically? If it helps, the UserControlParent is loaded dynamically in the ASPX page as well.

  I've a report which shows five different activity codes. I'd like to sum all like codes and place a total for each of the 5 activity codes in a group footer. I have it working for one activity code, but would like to write a formula which will look for all five and total each.   I have a list of objects which I want to turn into a set. My objects contain a few fields that some of which are o.id and o.area. I want two objects to be equal if these two fields are the same. ie: o1==o2 if and only if o1.area==o2.area and o1.id==o2.id. I tried over-writing __eq__ and __cmp__ but I get the error: TypeError: unhashable instance. What should I over-write?

  I got a "Project A" in repository. But in that project I'm using a library, which is hosted on Google Code. There is my question: is there any way, to have that library files "hooked" to Google Code SVN, and simultaneously my project in my repo (it's parent to that library), so I can commit library files into my repository when I decide, that outer project revision is ok? I've tried to do checkout in the library folder, files were downloaded from Google's Code repository. But I that case wasn't able to add them to my repository - they weren't visible in "Add" window.

Is there a better way to do this?

• MVC4 Model in View has nested data - cannot get data in model

  I have a Model defined that gets me a View with a list of RadioButtons, per IEnumerable. Within that Model, I want to display a list of checkboxes that will vary based on the item selected. Finally, there will be a Textarea in the same view once the user has selected from the available checkboxes, with some dynamic text there based on the CheckBoxes that are selected. What we should end up with is a Table-per-hierarchy. The layout is such that the RadioButtonList is in the first table cell, the CheckBoxList is in the middle table cell, and the Textarea is ini the right table cell. If anyone can guide me to what my model-view should be to achieve this result, I'll be most pleased...   I need to be able to display and edit a hierarchical list of tasks in a C# app. It can either be a Windows form app, or ASP.NET. Basically, I want similar behaviour to the way Microsoft Project handles tasks. The control would need to: 1) Maintain a list of items made up of several fields 2) Each item can have a number of children (at least 3 levels of nesting) 3) It needs to be very easy to change the parents/children of an item 4) It needs to be very easy to edit the fields (as fast as changing cells in Excel) 5) It needs to be very easy to reorder the items by dragging and dropping or cut and paste 6) If I can easily connect the control to a database, even better Anyone got any recommendations for controls for me to look at?

• Submit button on nested form submits the outer form in IE7

  I have the following code on my Home.aspx page: <form id="frmJump" method="post" action="Views/ViewsHome.aspx"> <input name="JumpProject" /><input type="submit" value="Go" /> </form> However, when I click the "Go" button, the page posts back to Home.aspx rather than going to ViewsHome.aspx. I even tried adding some script to force the form to submit: <input name="JumpProject" onkeypress="if(event.keyCode == 13) { this.form.submit(); return false; }" /> But still even if I press ENTER, the Home.aspx page is reloaded. The only thing I can see that might be borking things is this form is actually a child form of the main POSTBACK form that ASP.NET injects into the page. I'm sure there's something stupid I'm missing and this post will get 800 downvotes instantly banishing me back into the n00b realm, but perhaps I haven't gotten enough sleep lately and I'm missing something stupid. This is on IE7 and an ASP.NET 4.0 backend. I also have jQuery libraries loaded on the page incase jQuery can improve this somehow. Thanks!

List<Gente> Alunos = new List<Gente>(); Gente professor = new Gente(); The first time I do the Alunos.Add(professor); to the list it correctly sends the information to the 0 position. But when I do it second time it overwrites everything on position 0 with the new data besides adding the new data to a new position, 1.

  Hi Guys, I am trying to write a framework which contains a lot of short-lived caches created from a long-living cache. These short-lived caches need to be able to return their entier contents, which is a clone from the original long-living cache. Effectively what I am trying to build is a level of transaction isolation for the short-lived caches. The user should be able to modify the contents of the short-lived cache, but changes to the long-living cache should not be propogated through (there is also a case where the changes should be pushed through, depending on the Cache type). I will do my best to try and explain: master-cache contains: [A,B,C,D,E,F] temporary-cache created with state [A,B,C,D,E,F] 1) temporary-cache adds item G: [A,B,C,D,E,F] 2) temporary-cache removes item B: [A,C,D,E,F] master-cache contains: [A,B,C,D,E,F] 3) master-cache adds items [X,Y,Z]: [A,B,C,D,E,F,X,Y,Z] temporary-cache contains: [A,C,D,E,F] Things get even harder when the values in the items can change and shouldn't always be updated (so I can't even share the underlying object instances, I need to use clones). I have implemented the simple approach of just creating a new instance of the List using the standard Collection constructor on ArrayList, however when you get out to about 200,000 items the system just runs out of memory. I know the value of 200,000 is excessive to iterate, but I am trying to stress my code a bit. I had thought that it might be able to somehow "proxy" the list, so the temporary-cache uses the master-cache, and stores all of it's changes (effectively a Memento for the change), however that quickly becomes a nightmare when you want to iterate the temporary-cache, or retrieve an item at a specific index. Also given that I want some modifications to the contents of the list to come through (depending on the type of the temporary-cache, whether it is "auto-update" or not) and I get completly out of my depth. Any pointers to techniques or data-structures or just general concepts to try and research will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Aidos

  An html segment with a div containing a form: <div class="hide"> Form header <form action='' method='post'> .... form content here </form> form footer </div> <script type="text/javascript"><!--// $(document).ready(function() { $('.hide').hide(); } //--></script> The jquery should hide the form, but does not do so under IE8. (version 8.0.60001) The form content gets hidden, as does the content within the class='hide' div but outside the form, but the form border continues to show, and retains its size. Does anybody have a workaround for this? jQuery is version 1.4.2 I tried to create a small problem demo in jsfiddle, but that site was not functional in the IE browser.
