  • How to do 404 link testing through selenium rc for complete website?

    How can i verify a complete website's link(mostly links that are redirecting to 404 page) by using selenium Rc. Previously i tried to do this thong by using xenu and web link validator but in there results most of the links are showing 500 internal serevr error.and for the pages they are showing 500 internal server error the pages actuallt don't exists in the web site. So what is the concept if we can crawl through the website using selenium rc.?

  • Execute another program in multi-threaded program

    Hi, Just wondering how if it's possible to execute another program in a thread and send information to/get information from it. Essentially the same concept as with a child process and using pipes to communicate - however I don't want to use fork.   • Is it bad to use a model directly from a view in codeigniter?

    I know normally the data is passed thru to the view with the controller. however, currently in my view I load my model ($this-load-model('Db_model');) so i can use it in a loop to retrieve a users profile picture path from a array of IDs that is passed from controller. Will loading the db model in the view to accomplish this make my site more vulnerable or bad form? To me it seems to be outside of MVC concept but its working atm. thanks

    consider the following python 'code'. it demonstrates the concept of a multi-list comprehension: start = ['a', 'b', 'c'] middle = ['r', 'a', 'a'] finish = ['t', 'r', 't'] l = [s.upper() + m + f for s in start, m in middle, e in finish] >>> print l ['Art', 'Bar', 'Cat'] Alas, the above code does not work in python. What would be a good approximation of multi-list comprehension in python? Please discuss what happens when the lists have different lengths.

    Given a string containing jpeg image data, is it possible to load this directly in pygame? I've tried using StringIO but failed and I don't completely understand the 'file-like' object concept. Currently, as a workaround, I'm saving to disk and then loading an image the standard way: # imagestring contains a jpeg f=open('test.jpg','wb') f.write(imagestring) f.close() image=pygame.image.load('test.jpg') Any suggestions on improving this so that we avoid creating a temp file?

    Do you know of a tutorial that demonstrates Public Private Key encryption(PPKE) in C++ or C? I am trying to learn how it works and eventually use Crypto++ to create my own encryptions using public private keys. Maybe theres a Crypto++ PPKE tutorial? Maybe someone can explain the relationship(if any) between the public and private keys? Could anyone suggest some very simple public and private key values I could use(like 'char*32','char/32') to create my simple PPKE program to understand the concept?

    Python offers an optional else clause in loop statements, which is executed if and only if the loop is not terminated by a break. For an interesting discussion about this neglected commodity, see this question. Here, I just wanted to know: if the very concept of this loop-else construct originates from another language (either theoretical or actually implemented), conversely, if it was taken up in any newer language.
