• How to query_posts after the current timestamp and sort reverse chronologically?

  I am using the following code in Wordpress to query events (custom post type) and order them by date chronologically.. query_posts( array( 'post_type' => 'events', 'showposts' => 10, 'orderby' => 'meta_value_num','meta_key' => '_ecmb_datetime' ) ); Where the meta key _ecmb_datetime is, this is the timestamp of the event. I don't want to show events that have already happened, so my question is how do I only show events happening after my current time, and how do I sort reverse chronologically? Any help is greatly appreciated

  I'm not really familiar with PHP exporting to excel or csv, but I'm using PHP MySQL for a local point of sale. According to the code below, this actually works..But not in the way it should be ! All records are placed as 1 row inside the csv file, how can i fix that ? Also, How would I stop overwriting the same file...I mean When I click on a Button to export the csv, it should check if there is an existing csv file, If there is--Create new one !   Hello to everybody! I've some trouble with a find() on a model on CakePhp. I have three model relationed in this way: Project(some_fields, item_id) ------belongsTo----- Item(some_fields, item_id) ------belongsTo----- User(some_fields campi, nickname) I need to do a find() and retrieve all fields from project, a field from Item and the nickname field from User. This is my code: $this->set('projects', $this->Project->find('all', array('recursive' => 2))); but my output doesn't contains the user object. • Best way to insert items from a Derived class's constructor into a Base class's private std::vector?

  I have these classes: class Base { ... private: std::vector<X> v; }; class Derived { Derived(X*, int n); } where the constructor of Derived is passed an array of item Xs, which I need to insert into my vector v in the Base class. (X is a smart pointer) Currently I see two ways to do this: 1) Create a function in Base: InsertItem(X*) that will insert an item into the vector. 2) Create a vector in Derived that contains the full list, then get it into Base by moving the entire vector. I dont see any advantages to #2, but was wondering if #1 was a good solution, or if there are better ways to do this. Thanks!

• Finding many local max in an image (using MatLab)

  How do you go about figuring our multiple max in a 2D image where the max aren't necessarily all the same height? I have found that the imregionalmax(), imextendedmax(), and findpeaks() functions aren't necessarily that helpful because they give many local max that are really just maxes within the background noise. I tried bw=arrayimdilate(array,[1 1 1; 1 0 1; 1 1 1]) but that also is kind of limited for the same reasons (same thing with expanding the matrix that it uses). I'd definitely appreciate some help..

• What sort of object is this and how to use it?

  What would be the correct name for this type of array? There are 3 main sections and 4 sub-parts consisting of "issuedTime" "text" "url" and "validToTime", how do you start to convert this to an object? If there was only 1 main section, it would be fairly simple to do however with 3 main parts and no identification for each main section has me scratching my head as where to start. Any advise appreciated. • Breaking the SQL Compact 8K Limit?

  I am creating a desktop application that stores rich text documents to a SQL Compact database. Documents are converted to a byte array and stored as a Binary column, and I am running into SQL Compact's 8K limit for Binary field length. Is there a simple way to get around the 8K limit? I can come up with lots of complicated ways to do it, such as parsing into 8K chunks for storage and reassembling on fetch. But before I get into something that complex, I would like to make sure I can't solve the problem more simply, such as by changing data type. If there is no simple way of getting around the 8K limit, is thare a best practice for storing documents greater than 8K? Thanks for your help.

  I am working on a multi-threaded application and need help with some pseudo-code. To make it simpler for implementation I will try to explain that in simple terms / test case. Here is the scenario - I have an array list of strings (say 100 strings) I have a Reader Class that reads the strings and passes them to a Writer Class that prints the strings to the console. Right now this runs in a Single Thread Model. I wanted to make this multi-threaded but with the following features - Ability to set MAX_READERS Ability to set MAX_WRITERS Ability to set BATCH_SIZE So basically the code should instantiate those many Readers and Writers and do the work in parallel. Any pseudo code will really be helpful to keep me going!

• C++ - Opening a file inside a function using fopen

  I am using Visual Studio 2005 (C++). I am passing a string into a function as a char array. I want to open the file passed in as a parameter and use it. I know my code works to an extent, because if I hardcode the filename as the first parameter it works perfectly. I do notice if I look at the value as a watch, the value includes the address aside the string literal. I have tried passing in the filename as a pointer, but it then complains about type conversion with __w64. As I said before it works fine with "filename.txt" in place of fileName. This maps perfectly on array of controller method parameters as described in Model Binding To A List article. I want to add label for checkboxes to title them, but I have to guess their ids in hmtl layout. Options[" + i + "].Selected turns into Options_0__Selected How can I avoid hardcoding Id generation in-built asp.net mvc rules? Thank you advance.

  Hi All, Trying my luck with the vote_fu rails plugin. The functionality looks like exactly what I need for a project of mine, but I have hit a roadblock. I have followed the github readme to the letter, installing it as a plugin. I have put acts_as_voteable on my "Event" model and acts_as_voter on my User model. In the console, when I try: >> event.votes or >> user.votes it successfully returns an empty array. but when I try to do the following: user.vote_for(event) I get "NoMethodError: undefined method `user_id' for #<Vote:0x7f5ed4355540>" Any ideas? I'm probably just missing something obvious, but maybe something is missing from the plugin's readme. Thanks.

Person and Car: Person: _id firstname surname position salary Car: _id person_id reg_number brand So there is one to many relationship. One person can have many cars. I can construct map function to get every person and his/her car next to each other. In such case key is array [person.id, 0] and [car.person_id, 1]. What I can't do, is limiting this view to owners of specific brand only, e.g. if I need salaries of owners of Ferrari.

• Call to a member function query() on a non-object

  Ok, this is so weird!!! I am running PHP Version 5.1.6 when I try and run the code below it gives a fatal error of an object that has not been instantiated. • CakePHP: Ajax view problem (nothing in the view showing)

  I created a function in my controller called addToPlaylist($songName). I wanted to add these song names to an array and then a session variable using an Ajax call. The first time i did this i got an error saying i do not have a template file to display in the chosen div ("add_to_playlist.ctp was missing"). I created this file and everything seemed to be working correctly. Basically I went to bed woke up and it is broken (it is possible I changed something before I went to bed). The problem now is that it does not show anything when i click the ajax link. when i click on the ajax link it seems to call the function but nothing displays in the view (except debug info) even when i delete the view (add_to_playlist.ctp) i get no errors, I just see debug info now.

  For a project, I have to convert a binary string into (an array of) bytes and write it out to a file in binary. Say that I have a sentence converted into a code string using a huffman encoding. For example, if the sentence was: "hello" h = 00 e = 01, l = 10, o = 11 Then the string representation would be 0001101011. How would I convert that into a byte? <-- If that question doesn't make sense it's because I know little about bits/byte bitwise shifting and all that has to do with manipulating 1's and 0's.

• .NET Web Service Proxy is adding special characters in XML

  My web service proxy seems to be adding special characters like "*" and "#" etc. within the xml nodes. My proxy created lists using arrays of objects. I am trying to create a generic list and then doing list.ToArray() to set the proxy MyProxyObject[] object. Is this the cause of the problem I am having? I plan on running fiddler on the request later but it is over SSL and I do not have access to the URL at the moment. • Breadcrumbs in Fusebox 4/5

  I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a clean way to generate a breadcrumbs trail in Fusebox. Specifically, is there a way of keeping track of "where you are" and having that somehow generate the breadcrumbs for you? So, for example, if you're executing /index.cfm?fuseaction=Widgets.ViewWidget&widget=1 and the circuit structure is something like /foo/bar/widgets/ then somehow the system automatically creates an array like: [ { title: 'Foo', url: '#self#?fuseaction=Foo.Main' }, { title: 'Bar', url: '#self#?fuseaction=Bar.Main' }, { title: 'Widgets', url: '#self#?fuseaction=Widgets.Main' }, { title: 'Awesome Widget', url: '' } ] Which can then be rendered as Foo Bar Widgets Awesome Widget Right now it seems the only way to really do this is to create the structure for each fuseaction in a fuse of some kind (either the display fuse or a fuse dedicated to creating the crumbtrail).

• jQuery slider not working in Wordpress plugin

  I've written a plugin for wordpress and I want to use a slider on my page. In it's most basic form (now) to test, I have the for the slider on my page <div id="wpge-slider"></div> then in the plugin, I have my init action add_action('init', 'wpge_init' ); function wpge_init() { wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); wp_enqueue_script('jquery-ui-core'); wp_enqueue_script('wpge_search_results', get_bloginfo('wpurl') . '/wp-content/plugins/myplugintest/js/wpge_search_results.js', array('jquery'), '1.0'); } then in my own javascript page, I have jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $("#wpge-slider").slider(); }); Everything (to me) looks ok, and the scripts ARE being called in the header. I can see them on the page... yet the slider is not showing. Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?!
