    Why do the following URLs give me the IIS errors below: A) http://192.168.1.96/cms/View.aspx/Show/Small+test' A2) http://192.168.1.96/cms/View.aspx/Show/Small%20test' <-- this works, but is not the result from HttpUtility.UrlEncode() B) http://192.168.1.96/cms/View.aspx/Show/'%26$%23funky**!!~''+page Error for A: HTTP Error 404.11 - Not Found The request filtering module is configured to deny a request that contains a double escape sequence. Error for B: HTTP Error 400.0 - Bad Request ASP.NET detected invalid characters in the URL. The last part of the URL after /Show/ is the result after the text is being sent through HttpUtility.UrlEncode() so, according to Microsoft it is URL Encoded correctly. If I user HttpUtility.UrlPathEncode() rather than HttpUtility.UrlEncode() I get the A2 results. But B ends up looking like: http://192.168.1.96/TVCMS-CVJZ/cms/View.aspx/Show/'&$#funky**!!~''%20page which is still wrong. Does Microsoft know how to URL Encode at all? Is there a function someone has written up to do it the correct way?

    Hi, I need some Regex help. I need to find beacon_ followed by an alphanumeric code and then wrap it in quotation marks. For something static, like the example, below it's straight forward. myReturn = myReturn.replace( 'id=beacon_80291ee9b3', 'id="beacon_80291ee9b3"'); But, my problem is that the part after beacon is a random alphanumeric code. (However, it is always the same length). For example, the beacon part could be: beacon_c8ac873136 beacon_dc83b5953e beacon_7a910d03d8 etc. The haystack that I'll search will look like: myReturn = "blah blah id=beacon_80291ee9b3 blah blah"; Thanks. -Laxmidi

  • How do I sanitize a string in PHP that contains "; Echo"? (I have a solid reason)

    I turned this case into a simple PHP page that submits to itself. My issue is that I am submitting track meet results and one of the girl's names is Echo...a lovely name. The problem text I'm submitting is: Pole vault - Rachel Simons, Tow, 8-6; Echo Wilson, Cit, 8-0; Molly Randall, Tow, 7-0; So you see a semicolon followed by white space followed by Echo... After submitting, it says: POST to /results/test.php not supported The end goal is to save it to a database along with some other info and have a search page to find it and simply print out the full result on the screen. I stripped out all my database stuff to get it down to this one error. I mean, I can intentionally mis-spell her name, but there's gotta be a way around this, right???     I have a database that acts like a triple store, except that it is just a simple MySQL database. I want to select all triples that have a common predicate and object. Info about RDF and triples I can't seem to work out the SQL. If I had just a single predicate and object to match I would do: select TRIPLE from TRIPLES where PREDICATE="predicateName" and OBJECT="objectName" But if I have a list (HashMap) of many pairs of (predicateName,objectName) I am not sure what I need to do. Please let me know if I need to provide more info, I am not sure that I have made this quite clear, but I am wary of providing too much info and confusing the issue.

    Hello I've been trying several things from Google to POST data to a web server, but none of them work: I'm still stuck at how to convert the variables into the request, considering that the second variable is an SQL query so it has spaces. Does someone know the correct way to use a WebClient to POST data? I'd rather use WebClient because it requires less code than HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse.   • How can one put together multiple arrays into one string?

    I'm having a hard time describing what I'm looking for. If we pretend that we're pulling an array (I've used the .split to get user input data) where each line represents a link. How can I then add an anchor tagg to that link that I'm pulling? I need to be able to put < a href=" + thearray + "anything< /a. The reason for this is that I'm dynamically creating a list. I think that if I create two variables, one with this part < a href=" one with the closing and then call some sort of function that puts those two and the pulled array in between them until the list is complete. Does this make any sense?

    To instantiate a Stateful Session Bean inside of a JSP/ servlet, I am using: InitialContext ic = new InitialContext(); SomeStateful state = (SomeStateful) ic.lookup("java:comp/env/SomeStatefulBean"); Trial and error had me prefix the name of my EJB with java:comp/env/, so the above works (on Glassfish 2.1). However I want to know what the proper way to obtain this prefix is. Is there a CLI tool or function somewhere in the admin panel that will allow we to examine/ alter this? Is this platform/ application server dependant? Is there a setting within my ear, EJB-jar or war which I can examine or alter for this? (Forgive the beginner question) Thanks!

  • Building html tables from query data... faster?

    With my limited experience/knowledge I am using the following structure to generate HTML tables on the fly from MySQL queries: $c = 0; $t = count($results); $table = '<table>'; while ($c < $t) { $table .= "<tr><td>$results[0]</td><td>$results[1]</td> (etc etc) </tr>"; ++$c; } $table .= '</table>'; this works, obviously. But for tables with 300+ rows there is a noticeable delay in pageload while the script builds the table. Currently the maximum results list is only about 1,100 rows, and the wait isn't long, but there's clearly a wait. Are there other methods for outputting an HTML table that are faster than my WHILE loop? (PHP only please...)

    Hello. For the past few days, I have been trying to figure out how to link the files for a CLI gaming project I have been working on. There are two halves of the project, the Client and the Server code. The client needs two libraries I've made. The first is a general purpose game board. Since I need the TicTacToe functions, I link Client.cpp ( without main() ) when building the server ld: duplicate symbol nsTicTacToe::PlayerIsX in Client.o and Server.o collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Command /Developer/usr/bin/g++-4.2 failed with exit code 1 It stops once a problem is encountered, but if PlayerIsX is removed / changed temporarily than another variable causes an error Essentially, I am looking for any advice on how to better organize my code to hopefully fix these errors. Disclaimers: -I apologize in advance if I provided too much or too little information, as it is my first time posting -I have tried using static and extern to fix these problems, but apparently those are not what I need Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read all of this and respond =)

    I have a page that I am trying to dynamically add some links to. The links are getting added to the page fine, but the '[' and ']' at either end of the line are getting dropped. The code from my .js file is: var html = "[ <a href='#'>Change</a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href='#'>Remove </a> ]"; $(html).appendTo("#id123"); The result I want is: [ <a href='#'>Change</a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href='#'>Remove</a> ] The result I'm getting is: <a href='#'>Change</a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href='#'>Remove</a> If I wrap the line in a <span> tag like so: var html = "<span>[ <a href='#'>Change</a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a href='#'>Remove </a> ]</span>"; $(html).appendTo("#id123"); it renders as expected. I set a breakpoint on the code and checked the html var right before the .appendTo and it contains the '[' and ']'. Anyone know why this is happening? Are '[' and ']' special character that need escaped and I'm just forgetting that fact?

So once 8 bytes are read in, I would have 8 bits in my array, which should equal some character in a hidden message. Is there an easy way to convert an array of 0's and 1's into an ascii value?     Hi there I need to remove line breaks from the beginning of a memo type records. I dont want to use the replace function as it would remove all line breaks from the record which is not desired. Its only the line breaks at the beginning of the field that I am interested in removing.
