• Wikipedia API: list=alllinks confusion

  I'm doing a research project for the summer and I've got to use get some data from Wikipedia, store it and then do some analysis on it. I'm using the Wikipedia API to gather the data and I've got that down pretty well. What my questions is in regards to the links-alllinks option in the API doc here After reading the description, both there and in the API itself (it's down and bit and I can't link directly to the section), I think I understand what it's supposed to return. However when I ran a query it gave me back something I didn't expect. Here's the query I ran: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=revisions&titles=google&rvprop=ids|timestamp|user|comment|content&rvlimit=1&list=alllinks&alunique&allimit=40&format=xml Which in essence says: Get the last revision of the Google page, include the id, timestamp, user, comment and content of each revision, and return it in XML format. The allinks (I thought) should give me back a list of wikipedia pages which point to the google page (In this case the first 40 unique ones). • Delphi hook to redirect to different ip

  What is the best way to redirect ANY browser to a different ip for specific sites? For example if the user will type www.facebook.com in any browser he will be redirected to 127.0.0.1. Also the same should happen if he will type 66.220.146.11. What I have until now is this: using the winpkfilter I am able to intercept all the traffic on port 80, with type(in or out), source ip, destination ip and packet. My problem is to modify somehow the packet so the browser will be redirected. • What is correct HTTP status code when redirecting to a login page?

  When a user is not logged in and tries to access an page that requires login, what is the correct HTTP status code for a redirect to the login page? I don't feel that any of the 3xx fit that description. 10.3.1 300 Multiple Choices The requested resource corresponds to any one of a set of representations, each with its own specific location, and agent- driven negotiation information (section 12) is being provided so that the user (or user agent) can select a preferred representation and redirect its request to that location. Unless it was a HEAD request, the response SHOULD include an entity containing a list of resource characteristics and location(s) from which the user or user agent can choose the one most appropriate. The entity format is specified by the media type given in the Content- Type header field. Depending upon the format and the capabilities of the user agent, selection of the most appropriate choice MAY be performed automatically. However, this specification does not define any standard for such automatic selection. If the server has a preferred choice of representation, it SHOULD include the specific URI for that representation in the Location field; user agents MAY use the Location field value for automatic redirection. This response is cacheable unless indicated otherwise. 10.3.2 301 Moved Permanently The requested resource has been assigned a new permanent URI and any future references to this resource SHOULD use one of the returned URIs. The Location field gives the URI of the proxy. The recipient is expected to repeat this single request via the proxy. 305 responses MUST only be generated by origin servers. Note: RFC 2068 was not clear that 305 was intended to redirect a single request, and to be generated by origin servers only. Not observing these limitations has significant security consequences. 10.3.7 306 (Unused) The 306 status code was used in a previous version of the specification, is no longer used, and the code is reserved. 10.3.8 307 Temporary Redirect The requested resource resides temporarily under a different URI. • How to do validation on both client and server side for a service which is a store procedure(return a complex type)

  Hi I am doing Silverlight 4 In my database, I have a store procedure(having two parameters) which returns rows (with extra fields). So i have to make a complex type for those rows on my Models. And Making a service to call that function import store procedure. The RIA will automatically create a matching Entity(to the complex type) and an operation for me. However, I don't know how to validation the parameters of the operation on both client and server side. For example, the parameter must be an integer only (and greater than 10) or datetime only. below is my xaml code. I am using DomainDataSource control and don't know how to validate the two field parameter.It has two TextBox to let the user types in the value of parameters. I've triede a couple of different ways to perform a similar query, but almost identical exception for all (it differs in which LINQ method being executed). EDIT I'm using Oracle 11g, my mappings are done with FluentNHibernate registered through Castle Windsor with the NHibernate Facility. As I wrote, the odd thing is that the query works perfectly with the QueryOver< API, but not through LINQ.

  I have implemented my own TraceListener similar to http://blogs.technet.com/b/meamcs/archive/2013/05/23/diagnostics-of-cloud-services-custom-trace-listener.aspx . One thing I noticed is that that logs show up immediately in My Azure Table Storage. I wonder if this is expected with Custom Trace Listeners or because I am in a development environment. • How to troubleshoot a Highcharts script that's not rendering data when date is added and hanging the JS engine with large datasets?

  I have a Highchart JS graph that I'm building in Rails (although I don't think Ruby has real bearing on this problem unless it's the Date output format) to which I'm adding the timestamp of each datapoint. Presently the array of floats is rendering fine without timestamps, however when I add the timestamp to the series it fails to rend. What's worse is that when the series has hundreds of entries all sorts of problems arise, not the least of which is the browser entirely hanging and requiring a force quit / kill. This leads me to think I've got a problem with the timestamp output, but I'm just not able to figure out where / how as I'm converting the date output to an integer multipled by 1000 to convert it to milliseconds as per explained in a similar Railscasts tutorial. I would very much appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction here as to what I may be doing wrong. What could cause no data to appear on the graph in smaller sized sets (<100 points) and when into the hundreds causes an apparent hang in the javascript engine in this case? • What am I missing in this ASP.NET XSS Security Helper class?

  I need a generic method for preventing XSS attacks in ASP.NET. The approach I came up with is a ValidateRequest method that evaluates the HttpRequest for any potential issues, and if issues are found, redirect the user to the same page, but in a away that is not threatening to the application. (Source code below) While I know this method will prevent most XSS attacks, I am not certain that I am adequately preventing all possible attacks while also minimizing false positives. So, what is the most effective way to adequately prevent all possible attacks, while minimizing false positives? • Why doesn't my form post when I disable the submit button to prevent double clicking?

  Like every other web developer on the planet, I have an issue with users double clicking the submit button on my forms. My understanding is that the conventional way to handle this issue, is to disable the button immediately after the first click, however when I do this, it doesn't post. I did do some research on this, god knows there's enough information, but other questions like Disable button on form submission, disabling the button appears to work. The original poster of Disable button after submit appears to have had the same problem as me, but there is no mention on how/if he resolved it. Appointments CAN NOT overlap (Assigned Ones). Unassigned can't overlap each other. This query use to work (I've been told). But now it doesn't and I have tried refactoring it and various other paths with no luck. I am now on week two and just don't know where the issue in the query is or how to write it. See 'EntityValidationErrors' property for more details. The error is the one raised by my validation, saying it can't edit because there is already a car with that license plate. If anyone could point me in the right direction to fix this, that would be great! I searched but couldn't find anything, so even related posts are welcome!

  I have a class that extends the HtmlHelper in MVC and allows me to use the builder pattern to construct special output e.g. <%= Html.FieldBuilder<MyModel>(builder => { builder.Field(model => model.PropertyOne); builder.Field(model => model.PropertyTwo); builder.Field(model => model.PropertyThree); }) %> Which outputs some application specific HTML, lets just say, <ul> <li>PropertyOne: 12</li> <li>PropertyTwo: Test</li> <li>PropertyThree: true</li> </ul> What I would like to do, however, is add a new builder methid for defining some inline HTML without having to store is as a string. E.g. I'd like to do this. <% Html.FieldBuilder<MyModel>(builder => { builder.Field(model => model.PropertyOne); builder.Field(model => model.PropertyTwo); builder.ActionField(model => %> Generated: <%=DateTime.Now.ToShortDate()%> (<a href="#">Refresh</a>) <%); }).Render(); %> and generate this <ul> <li>PropertyOne: 12</li> <li>PropertyTwo: Test</li> <li>Generated: 29/12/2008 <a href="#">Refresh</a></li> </ul> Essentially an ActionExpression that accepts a block of HTML. However to do this it seems I need to execute the expression but point the execution of the block to my own StringWriter and I am not sure how to do this. Can anyone advise?

Only the last message is been displayed after a long lime of ajax loading message Also on the browser console I just see that after a long time first requested is completed and after that the second request is completed. but there should be for getProgress ? I have checked jquery.doc and it says that $post is an asynchronous request. Can anyone please explain what is wrong with the code or logic?

• Web reference problem on WCF

  I have a WCF service which I am able to connect to from my web application and get data. I now added a web reference to this wcf project to a wsdl file that a shipping company provides. Intention is to get shipping quotes.. I am able to access the objects that are generated from this wsdl file but when I call service.Authenticate("DEMO"); method almost nothing happens. I debug and see the debugger continue to the next lines but there is no change on service parameters and service.isauthorized is null..
